I Guess you can call what happened to me 'Bullying' my brother called it 'teasing'

I was in 5th grade when it started to happen, It was time for lunch and I had gotten my lunch. I am in a a program for the Arts, so many people who were in regular school didn't really like us that much.

I am a really happy, go Lucky girl. And when this happened, I was being called out because of my height and because of the gap in my teeth. They would say it to me everyday for about a week.

I was angry, sad, and my self esteem dropped a lot. When I was little I was teased by my brother for my weight and my gap. You know how it goes I would tease him and then I would tease him back.

I didn't think of the words that much, but when those girls started saying these things to me. I started to think I wasn't normal, like I was an alien.

Even though it was only for about a week it still hurt. Throughout the week, I ignored them, that's what my mom would always tell me to do, because they are only looking for a reaction.

They did it at lunch and one time at recess, by the third day I asked my mom when I'd get braces, she asked me why, and I ended up telling her what had happened, She gave me a pep talk and told me not to listen to them, that they are just jealous, and that helped a lot. I will always remeber that and I love my mom with all my heart and I would like to say Thank you.

I don't know if they just stop because I wouldn't react to what they were saying or a teacher saw it and told them to stop. But whatever happened I'm glad it did.

Now I'm happier and even weirder but in a good way and I have great friends, I'm considered talented and crazy and funny. I look at myself different, I think that I am one sexy beast.

So if you are being teased or bullied, just remember that you are worth it, you are beautiful, and awesome.
