You will not learn why the novel has its name.There are only 5 characters, 1 of which is the MC and only another of which is recurring for a time.I do have plans for future books of the series, but they aren't getting written for a long time because this was just a side project to practice the basics of storytelling and whatnot. The end of times as we know it came as the whole world becamed engulfed with monsters. Nations fell one by one as mythical creatures razed everything to the ground. To make matters worse, the world that had already been tamed through human innovation reverted back to its original wild state as various human technology disappeared off the face of the world. Fortunately, the RPG system that came with the apocalypse allowed all humans to level up and exceed the strength limits of their race. From the ashes of the old world, heroes like the Dragon Lord and the Steel Empress rises up as they protected and ruled over what remained of humanity from the destruction. Regardless of whether they were cunning or strong or just plain lucky, there was no doubt that these heroes are people who have the power to fight against millions. To many, they are the beacon of hope in such dark times as they represented the strongest potential of humanity. Orginally, Alex had nothing to do with this world, but an accident from the future thrusted him right into the very center of this world's conflict. --- Just your normal cliche post-apocalyptic RPG story with an edgy MC. Expect overpoweredness and wish-fulfillment.

She has never heard of the isekai genre, she can't fight worth a damn, and the blue-collar skills she learned at her community college are absolutely useless in a universe where technology is often indistinguishable from magic. She only has one thing going for her: A mysterious ability to interface with highly advanced technology left behind by the Antecessors, the long lost precursor civilization with technology that no one has been able to adequately replicate. Finding herself in a universe where civilizations are locked in an interstellar Cold War, where societies are so stratified that the aristocracy commands fleets of starships while slaves wash clothes with their hands, Artemis decides to run away from it all. She has a ship. She'll find a crew. She'll find a way to make a living at the fringes of civilization, learn how to cope with danger, and survive the affections of a universe where everyone is a cute girl with animal ears and tails.
