At least not to you
You grew up the clumsy kid
With permanently scraped knees
Constant scuffed palms
You even chipped your tooth
But because of this
You're used to blood
The feeling
The color
The aftermath of it
It"s not unusual
Especially not now
Now that you see it almost every day
Dripping from the cuts on your hips
From the marks on your lip
From the picked skin of your fingers
It would be more unusual if you didn't see it
Because blood has never been unusual

And then I saw the blue box for the first time. ------------ A System Apocalypse event happens in a world of superheroes, like you would see in the comic books. What happens when the world changes, and heroes and villains are now bound by a System that limits their powers? What will change, and what will remain the same? This story will incorporate Champions/HERO System 5th Edition rules. There will be dice rolls determining the action, and blue boxes with lots of crunchy numbers. Parasites feast on their flesh, horrors encroach upon their walls. The Influence tempts the noblest of men and women to shed their values and turn to depravity. None who arrive at this forsaken place will ever truly leave. The living outside its gates cry, "Do not travel to Loxburg; it is vanquished, it is lost!" However, a certain peculiar sorceress does not heed these warnings. She boards a carriage to her doom. She carries a passion for witchcraft, for the occult, the strange, and the deathly. The villagers watch as she enters their gates, expecting a hero. She is not here to conquer the demons, she is not here to slay the beasts, no... She is here to use them.
