Chapter Twenty Three- Stupid Bet
The sun was long gone by the time I finished reading the book I bought. I was sitting on a park bench drinking some coffee. I looked at my phone. It was midnight. I sighed and picked myself up walking to my car.
I really didn't want to go back there, but what other choice did I have? I didn't have enough money to stay in a hotel, and my apartment still hadn't gotten the all clear yet.
I wined as I got onto the road that would take me back to Tom.
But as far as I could tell all the lights were out, and Dan's car was gone. I opened the backdoor and saw a sleepy Timber walk through the kitchen look at me and walk back to the bed he rarely slept in. I think that dog sleep walks.
I went up the stairs and looked under Tom's door noticing that his light was off. I sighed opening my door to have my breath caught.
Tom was sitting on my bed looking at me. His eyes were soft and pleading. I just walked to my closet, shut the door, and silently ranted. Its two thirty he should be asleep not on my bed!
I changed into pajamas and tried to calm down before I opened the door and faced him, he hadn't moved an inch.
"Cassie" his voice was hoarse and it sounded like he was about to cry. "I'm sorry I didn't mean to say that, to threaten you, but I was just so mad..." He choked up searching for words. It hurt me to see him like that. I hate the affect he has on me.
I silently walked to the bed and sat down across from him and sighed. "I just needed- I just need to know why I'm keeping us a secret. Why I'm a secret, it can't just be about them, is it me? Are you ashamed of me?..."
He shook his head and caressed the side on my face "No Cassie I could never be ashamed of you"

"Then..." I breathed trying to guess, but it was my turn to be chocked up. My vision fogged up as tears started to poor over.
"Cas?" he asked but I just shook my head, not able to say any words. "Cassie" he said brushing the few silent tears away and pulled me on to his lap, his arms wrapped tightly around me. "I know you need to know, but really you would laugh at me and probably think that I'm some stupid moron"
I shook my head again. "I could never think that" I said keeping my eyes closed.
He sighed a laugh "I bet you would"
"Well lets find out" I said pulling away a little so I could see his face.
He brushed my bangs out of my eyes, and sighed "it's because well I made a bet..."
"Because you made a bet?" I asked unbelievingly, cutting him off.
"Please let me finish, I made a bet with Dan"
"What kind of bet?"
"Stop interrupting" he sighed frustrated.
I smiled up at him; he smiled back and rolled his eyes. "I bet that I wouldn't ever be in another relationship as long as any Harry Potter films would be made"
I bit my lip trying not to laugh. He rubbed my back. "Its okay you can laugh"
I let out a small giggle "So what you were planning on never being with another girl until Harry Potter was over?"
"Well yeah I was convinced that after all the films were over that the 'fame' would die down a bit and maybe I could get into a real relationship"
"How long ago did you make this bet?" I asked curiously twisting a piece of his blonde hair between my fingers.
"Right before Dan first left to film Order of the Phoenix"
"Wow that was a long time ago"
"Yeah and it was going fine until you showed up" he said tickling me. I squirmed in his arms trying to break free; he stopped and pulled me closer. "And the other reason is because I'm going to get teased"

"Teased?" I asked.
"Yeah they all knew I liked you, all of them, they kept on teasing me every time you would turn your back to me, every time you weren't looking"
I shook my head laughing.
"What is so funny?"
"Tom Felton is afraid of being teased"
He glared and flipped us over so I was pinned underneath him on the bed as he started to tickle me more.
"Stop..." I managed to gasp out. I reached out for his hands trying to stop them, but I'm way too weak. "Tom stop" I breathed. He stopped and smirked at me before gluing his lips to mine.
I broke apart gasping "You...know... if you told me this before... we wouldn't have gotten into a fight"
"You mean you're still going to keep this a secret?"
"Yeah" I said in a kind of 'duh' tone. "I'll be your dirty little secret until you're ready to tell everyone"
He rolled his eyes "You're not my dirty little secret, we are just a secret"
I pouted "You're not making this fun"
He smirked, finally catching on "You're the dirtiest little secret I have ever had Cassie Dean"
I smiled "That's better" I wrapped my arms around his neck placing my lips to his.
Before long he was biting my bottom lip begging for entrance, which I denied. He whined and dug his nails into my hips, which made me jump. He took this as an advantage and stuck his tongue in my mouth. "Not fair" I mumbled and he understood because a smirk formed around his lips, I rolled my eyes as his tongue explored every inch of my mouth. And when I got tired of that I forced my tongue in his mouth, sitting up in the process, his hands tangled themselves in my hair as we fought for dominance and I finally won, exploring his mouth, loving the taste of peppermint. My fingers absentmindly started tracing his abs through his shirt. He shivered at my touch. I yawned, breaking the kiss. He laughed.
"What I'm tired it's three in the morning and I've been fuming all day it takes a lot out of you"
He chuckled placing one more soft kiss on my lips, and got off the bed.
"Where are you going?" I asked.
"To bed"
I grabbed his hand "Don't go"
He smiled "I don't want another Rupert incident in the morning"
"We can just lock the door?" I suggested.
He sighed "Fine, come on"
"Come where?"
"My room, it would make much more since if you were gone in the morning than it would if I was gone"
I sighed closing my eyes "Never mind, I'm too lazy"
I heard him sigh, and then I felt myself being lifted up. My eyes shot open. He was carrying me bridal style into his room.
I rested my head on his shoulder "I have the best boyfriend in the world"
"I love you"
"I love you too" I replied as he layed me down under the covers.
I felt weight on the other side of the bed, and I searched for him in the darkness, finally finding his hand and pulling myself closer to him. He wrapped an arm around my waist, and I sighed smiling.
"Where did you go?" He asked after a few minutes.
"I told you I was going to Taylor and Danielle's"
I felt him slap his forehead. "I can't believe it, here I was worried sick and I actually knew where you were, I feel like such a idiot"
I rubbed his arm trying to get him to calm down so I could go to sleep. He sighed wrapping his arm back around me. I nestled my head back on his chest.
I was half unconscious when he spoke again "What did you mean when you said that you thought that I couldn't still scare you?" it sounded like he had a lump in his throat again.
"You use to scare me" I said as I fell asleep holding onto the man I loved.
[Author's Note]- Yeah Yeah Yeah i know the bet was really way too stupid. So is the end of this chapter.

New God
Who said being a God was easy. If you started omniscient; omnipotent and omnipresent then it might be. However, without those powers it would be a different story entirely. This is that story. Adam is thrown into a new world with no choice and no instructions. At least he is a God, whatever that means... Lovely Royal Road readers: Imagine a tutorial with no instructions and no idea what the game was meant to be and what you are trying to achieve. All you know is that you are a God (whatever that means). So this is quite slow to start; mainly world building for me; a bit of base building by the MC and some good old minion development. I'm developing/practicing my writing and love the format of RR to get it out of my head. So hopefully it gets better with time as I get better. All feedback welcome - but please critique and tell me why you don't like it (if you don't) I'd rather a 1-star review than a 2-star(plus) rating!
