Chapter nineteen- Complete Bliss
I lay in my bed motionless. I had been awake for no more than an hour. A smile plastered across my face. The sun's warmth gave me a new sensation, a new feeling, as if my eyes had just opened and where far more clear than ever before.
And yet as I lay here with my smile, remembering last night, it seemed more like a dream. An alternate reality that I had created.
-Last Night-
We both were smiling crazy as he opened the back door; our fingers still intertwined hanging loosely in between us. Barely any words had been spoken, not like it was awkward more like it wasn't necessary. We just stared at each other admiringly.
And we passed quickly undetected pass Dan who was still asleep but he had traded the chair for the couch. It seemed as we floated up the stairs, like we were walking on clouds, so light and comfortable. He led me to my room even though his was right across from mine.
We just stood there facing each other both our hands intertwined together, staring into each other's eyes. I don't know how long we stood there until he finally leaned down and planted a soft sweet kiss on my forehead followed by him saying "Goodnight Cassie"
When I found my voice I whispered "Goodnight" as I opened my door and shut it sliding down to the floor biting my bottom lip and sighed contently "My prince"
-Present Time-
I knew it wasn't a dream though. I still had damp hair to prove that, I just couldn't believe it.
It was eleven in the morning and the smell of food drifted up towards my nose and my stomach grumbled. I laughed quietly for it was the first sound I had made all day. I lightly stretched in the comfortable bed and stood up lazily and went down stairs into the kitchen.

The smell of pancakes was even more direct as I descended down the stairs, as I turned the corner I saw Emma sitting on a stool looking at her phone and Dan was sitting on the island's counter while Tom was by the stove smiling at me as I walked in. I took a seat next to Emma and breathed a "Morning" smiling.
"Look who finally decided to wake up?" Emma laughed as she placed her phone to the side.
"Yeah really you woke up after me even" Dan said joining the laugh.
I shrugged looking for the right words, any words "I...I was just tired"
"Yeah it's a good thing Sleeping Beauty finally awoke, she has a busy day today" Tom said winking at me.
"Would you rather stay here with Tom" Dan said rolling his eyes "or come with Rupert, Em, and me to some photo shoot?"
"Its not just some photo shoot Dan" Em said sighing overdramatically.
He shrugged and looked back to me.
I laughed "As much as I would love to watch you pose your pretty little face in front of a camera all day Dan I think I'd rather stay with Tom"
"Fine then" he scoffed clearly offended.
Tom set a plate in front of me with two pancakes, bacon, and scrambled eggs.
I looked at them suspiciously "Are you trying to make me fat Tom Felton?" I asked accusingly.
He laughed "Yeah that's my life goal Cas to make you fat"
"Then what happened?" I asked in disbelief, I barely knew he knew how to make pancakes much less knew that he could cook other stuff too.
"I went a little overboard, I guess I was just too excited to sleep" he shrugged.
"Too excited for what?" Dan asked mystified.

Tom sighed a dreamy sigh. "Oh I don't know just excited for no real reason"
"Em let's get out of here before I get whatever Tom has, I think it's contagious" Dan said leaving walking towards the back door. Emma laughed following behind him and said "I'll see you later"
Once the door shut, and you heard the soft rumbling of Dan's car fade away Tom smiled ecstatically.
"I thought they'd never leave" he said.
"Eager huh?" I asked placing a bit of pancake in my mouth.
"Yeah today is going to be bloody amazing, and I missed you"
I laughed "I have to sleep you know"
"I know that's why I turned off your alarm clock today, so you could sleep in"
"I was wondering about that" I looked at him suspiciously.
He smiled "I thought you could sleep in"
"Well how thoughtful" I smiled appreciatively.
He shrugged "I try"
A silenced filled the air as I finished eating and Tom cleaned up. I ended up breaking this silence with a question, well more like a statement.
"We aren't telling them about us" I said looking down.
He placed the dish rag down and walked around turning my chair so that he could be right in front of me. "I just think it's best for right now if we keep it a secret, you know they will get all...all blah" I
laughed at his facial expression "if we tell them, why not keep it a secret?"
I held back a laugh "So I'm your dirty little secret?"
"No" he said appalled "Just a week to keep it just between you and me, if we can manage that long" he softly brushed his lips to mine, and then pulled back.
"Okay I get your point" I sighed "Changing the subject what are we doing today?"
"It's a surprise, I think you'll like it, anyway eat up so we can go"
I nodded eating some more pancakes.
"Oh and I-well we need to use your car" he smiled sheepishly.
I rolled my eyes.

Of Men and Dragons, Book 1
Book 1 is now available on Kindle, or in paperback/hardcover! You can buy it here! Jack crash-landed on a planet where the natives are seven-foot-tall carnivorous cat-lizards currently somewhere between stone and bronze age. The good news is the natives think the ship that crashed into their mountain is a dragon and are steering clear of it. The bad news is they just left one of their own as a sacrifice to appease the beast. No matter what Jack and his AI co-pilot decide, his life just got a lot more complicated... ATTENTION: This is soft sci-fi rather than hard sci-fi, hence why I chose that tag. For those of you unfamiliar with the distinction, here's what Wikipedia had to say. 1. It explores the "soft" sciences, and especially the social sciences (for example, anthropology, sociology, or psychology), rather than engineering or the "hard" sciences (for example, physics, astronomy, or chemistry). 2. It is not scientifically accurate or plausible; the opposite of hard science fiction. Soft science fiction of either type is often more concerned with character and speculative societies, rather than speculative science or engineering. The term first appeared in the late 1970s and is attributed to Australian literary scholar Peter Nicholls.
