°Levys POV°
I was cleaning my gun around 11am when my mother knocked on the door.
"Oh sweetie. What have I told you about morning drinking?" She asked tilting her head.
"Not to do it." I said plainly. "That doesn't mean I'm going to listen." I continued to clean, not looking up from my gun.
"Sweetie, you know I'll never ask you to stop drinking, unless it's important." She said sweetly.
"So?" I said rudely. I was never rude to her. Until she told me I was to marry that son of a bitch Redfox.
"Im going to need you to not drink today." She said sternly, I looked up to see her reaching for my glass of scotch on my nightstand next to me.
"And why is that?" I asked suspicious.
"Well honey, we are going to meet the Redfoxes today!" Fuuuuuuuuck. She sounded excited. .
"Why do I even have to marry him?! I complained.
"Well, we want the McGardens to live a happy, wealthy life." She said. As if it made sense.
"Okay One. We are wealthy enough, And Two, I'm your only daughter and your trading me for money." I informed. "Thanks for making me feel special mother." I added coldly.
"Honey, I know this isn't your first choice, but I want you to make the most of it. Okay?" She asked
"As if I could. I'm 22 mother. I haven't had a boy since Jet. Now you want to marry a guy? Really?" I reminded her of Jet. He broke my heart.
"Yes honey. But this guy won't hurt you. All you'll be doing is living your life in another house and pretend to be married in front of company's." She reminded me that all I had to do was 'fake it till I make it.'
"Still. Fuck him." I retorted.
"Language. But... I heard he is quite a good gambler." She added smirking. I shot her a look.
"Like good good. Not me good?" I asked narrowing my eyes at her. She gave a small nod.
"He may even be better." She provoked.
"When are we meeting him? I'll beat him any day of the week." I said angry. My mother knew I was the best of the best.
"We will be meeting him in one of his casinos. At four pm. You know the Redfoxes, they are also running the mob. So dress as a mobsters wife." She spoke as she began to leave. He'll never beat me gambling. Never. I got up and put my gun back together. Laying it back down under my bed. I brushed my hair down and walked to the bathroom.

"It wouldn't hurt to look nice I guess."
I pulled off my headband and clothes and started the water.
After my shower, I decided to wear a black dress, with a long slit where my leg would show, being the feisty one I am, I took a strap, and pulled it around my thigh, it showed through the slit in the dress, I took a flip knife, and strapped it to my thigh for easy access for when it was needed. I slipped on a silver headband and put on makeup. I walked downstairs, meeting my mother in the living room.
"Exactly what I was hoping for. Thank you Levy." My mother thanked me for my outfit.
"It's 2 mom, maybe you should start getting ready too." I commented.
"Well honey, the thing is, it's.... Like a date." Date?
"What do you mean date?" I questioned.
"Well, it'll be just you and the Redfox son, and one of his guards, he'll being doing business and you get to watch." She quieted down,
"Wait?! What?! So I don't get to gamble?!" I yelled. I'm not addicted to gambling. But this was a chance to make money,
"Well, maybe you could help him in his gambling." She pointed out my strengths.
"Fine. But I'm not telling him what it is, so if he doesn't listen, it's his money he's losing." I huffed.
"Well, honey. He is sending a cab now, it will be here in 15 minutes." She pointed to the shoes by the door. They were my favorite heeled Boots. They were black combat boots with heels. Perfect with this dress.
"And darling. Please don't just go using that knife on anyone." She begged.
"No promises." I looked at her with a serious face. Than went back to lacing the shoes. She just sipped her tea and watched. My mother was an old mobster wife. She was the baddest bitch on the block. She was the baddest bitch on 100 blocks! I'm just following in her footsteps. I made a name for myself. Most of the time I was fighting, I was fighting along side a gang called 'Fairy Tail' some old friends were apart of it, and asked me to tag a long for a few missions. I obliged.
Buzz. Buzz.. Buzz.
The gate button buzzed. Which meant someone wanted us to open the gate...
Redfox.
I walked to the front door. By the light switch there was a button, when pressed it allowed access to open the gate. I pressed it and waited.

Moments later,
Knock! Knock! Knock!
I waited about five seconds, I grabbed a leather jacket and opened the door. A VERY large man stood before me.
"Hello Ma'am, I am Lily. I will be driving you to meet the Mr.Redfox." He explained nicely.
"Hey. I'm Levy. Is everyone this nice?" I asked. Doubt it.
"I'll explain on the ride. Please follow me." He moved aside so I could pass, I did and he stepped in front of me once I reached the car. He was about to open the door for me. I put my hand up. Waving him off.
"No need,"
"Yes ma'am." He quickly got into the front seat as I got out the bottle in the back seat.
"You don't have to call me ma'am, I'll call you Lily. You can call me Levy."
"Thanks Levy. I take it I can be chill around you?" He asked. I smirked.
"Go for it." I smiled. His shoulders relaxed. He sighed.
"Okay. Levy, Gajeel, is quite a Tough guy. He's rude and Isn't well with sympathy. He's just, rough and tumble. So don't try to force him into friendship. He'll do his thing. Than he'll start opening up with friendship." Lily explained.
"Hmph! Exactly what I expected, whatever. We can be couples in front of company's and avoid each other in his manner." I shrugged.
"Oh and Lily?" I asked him as he pulled out of the estate courtyard.
"Yes?" He glanced back at me before his eyes hit the road once again.
"Advise Mr. Redfox, to listen to Me when playing BlackJack. I'm quite good at that game." I smirked.
"I will Levy." He kept his eyes on the road as I pour myself a drink. I sipped on the one drink until I pulled up to a nice looking casino. I put my glass into the cup holder and opened my door. I stepped out of the car, to be greeted with Lily,
"Follow me this way Levy." He began walking and I followed. Once I entered the casino, I was greeted with a smell of smoke and alcohol, I had got used to it after about 30 seconds, I followed Lily through a large door, to he greeted with a blackjack table, I smirked. I saw a pretty small man in the chair I could see, on the other end, I saw the back of a large red chair.
"Gajeel. Who's this?" The smaller man asked. I than saw a pair of broad shoulders stand up. A low pony tail and the man turned. Gajeel Redfox. He looked quite attractive, but a sexy attractive. He rolled his eyes
"Levy McGarden. Pleasure to meet you." He said sarcastically. I scoffed.
"As if I chose to be here." I retorted.
"Your shorter in real life than you look in magazines." He observed "can I call you shrimp?" He asked nicely.
"Shut it Redfox." I said a angered.
"Thanks shrimp." He smirked
"No problem you sadistic prick." I scoffed. He seemed a little taken back by me talking back to him. I'm not scared of him!
"Shrimpy got spunk." He said as he turned to sit back down, Lily gave me a sympathetic smile, than turned to Gajeel, and whispered something, the Redfox turned to me with suspicion, I walked to him and grabbed a glass and poured it. Scotch. My favorite. Than I sat on the edge of Gajeels arm rest, Gajeel glanced up at me. Than set his eyes back to the smaller man.
"Well Mr. Hendrix. Do you have my money." Gajeel asked looked into the smaller mans eyes. Hendrix... Hendrix.. Oh! That was a smaller gang that gambling away much of their money.
"All right here Mr. Redfox." He threw a case at Lily.
"Would you do the honors of counting it? Ms. McGarden?" He looked at me starring daggers. I scoffed. I put one hand out and waited for the case to be put in my hands. When is was I opened to to see multiple stacks off 100 dollar bills.
"3 million dollars in there Mr. Redfox." The Hendrix man explained. Wait? No. This is wrong. I recounted. Nope.
"There's only 2 million in here." I looked at the small man.
"It seem he's short." Gajeel smiled.
"Let's see. I'll take the 2 million. But let's play a little blackjack game. If you win. You have no other million you owe me. But if I win. You will own me another 2 million," Gajeel smiled up at me. I leaned to his ear
"One tap stand. Two taps. Hit."
I explained.

The Cyclical Nature of Time
A girl’s life ends unexpectedly early, or so it would seem. Instead of eternal nothingness, she wakes up in an empty valley with no clue how she got there. Taking her predicament in stride, she sets out to do something about it. Unfortunately for her, the first couple of people she meets aren’t much help. They claim they haven’t heard of electricity and dress as if they were on a break from their job at a Viking-themed amusement park. MC is a somewhat normal girl. She's pragmatic and not very angsty. The story is tagged with anti-hero, but to be clear, she is not a villain. She does good if she can, she just isn't morally motivated to do so. The story starts out smelling of fantasy but will eventually shift towards sci-fi. It contains some supernatural elements and has a strong lead, but it is not your usual power trip. Expect a story that takes its time, but not to the point where entire chapters are spent on mindless chit-chat. I’m not into that. This is my first serious attempt at writing and I've learnt a lot writing this. Unfortunately, that shows. Chapter 1-10 is slow and rather pointless. Things get better, but it is not until chapter 25 or so that I began understanding how to structure chapters and to make them support the larger story. I publish about 3000 words a week (every sunday) but I write about 10000 words a week. Sticking to that pace, which is easy, the last chapter will be out by July.

Tales of a Grim World.
Ancient prophecies say that once every thousand years, one shall rise to bring about a new age of darkness. A harbinger of evil, a being born for the sole purpose of sowing misery and disgrace. Through them, the world shall know of war, famine, pestilence and death— the four seals that herald the end of times. Besieged by the maws of evil, humankind shall suffer in agony as they watch everything they once knew be unmade before them. To oppose such a being, the whole world has had to stand united, in the battles that came to be historically known as the Great Holy Wars. Guided by the Saintess of Irithel, brave heroes coming from the four corners of the world had to sacrifice their lives in order to fight against the Harbinger and cast away the darkness. Our story begins in the year 578, a bit over six hundred years since the end of the fifth holy war. In the kingdom of Valtia, a small nation belonging to the Union of Western Kingdoms, an urgent missive bearing the royal seal arrives at the hands of Earl William Taylor. Though it might still be almost half a millennia too early for another Harbinger to be born, dark clouds already loom over the northern continent of Gram, as many bizarre events start taking place. Follow the story of our main characters as they struggle to survive in a grim, unforgiving world. _________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Warning: This work is intended for mature audiences and contains adult scenes and heavy descriptions of violence and gore.
