《Ennard X Reader: Tubes and Wires》They'll Keep You Running

"Just keep running!" Ennard shouted. You and Yenndo were ahead, while Ennard trailed behind, keeping a close distance on your heels. The lightning crackled across the sky and a harsh rumble of thunder followed causing you to flinch fearfully. The rain was heavy and it whipped down in thick streams. Yenndo had gasped and swerved around a large tree that had seemingly appeared out of nowhere, you and Ennard doing the same. "I can't believe he led us into an ambush!" Ennard angrily snarled. Yenndos sides were heaving. "Ennard, he tried to help us! What if he's seriously hurt? You saw the claws on that guy back there!" The endo cried out. Ennard only scoffed. "I could care less about what happens to that lying piece of scrap metal right now! He lied to us and now we're running through the woods like The Plague Dogs!" The clown retorted. Yenndo didn't have anything to say to that. Ennard was right... Your eyes watered at his harsh words. You knew he was mad. Beyond angry was a better term. But deep down you hoped that Springtrap was alright as well... Even after all of this craziness that he'd caused. But Yenndos words held ground, too. "Ennard, Yenndo has a point- He threw himself in front of that wolf animatronic to give us a chance to escape! What if something did happen to him?" You cried. Ennard could hear the heartbroken tone in your dry voice. He knew you had pity on the rabbit. His pale blue gaze had locked onto your E/C one before his angry expression softened. He slowed down, the two of you doing the same. "Y/N... We can't go back. That wolf animatronic... I'm sure he wasn't alone. If they catch us, then I don't know what they'll do. Especially with you..." Ennard sadly spoke. You grimaced at the thought of what that horrible animatronic might be capable of doing- And if he had others with him... The awful idea wasn't far fetched. Wolves never traveled alone. There was no telling of what other kind of animatronics his 'pack' would consist of. Or how many there would be, either.
The three of you had stopped under a large, low hanging oak tree. It provided some shelter from the harsh rain. Like the two endos, your sides were heaving and hurting from running for so long. None of you could remember how long it'd been since the wolf had showed up, but it felt like forever. You shivered from the cold air that blew to and fro as the storm continued. "This is a horrible time to be outside..." Yenndo shivered as a rumble of thunder boomed. Ennard could've given the endo a harsh glare at those stale words, especially at a moment like this, but his eyes were darting around the forest. He was trying his best to keep watch, but the rain was making it difficult to see through the darkness, and the howling wind was making it hard to hear for any danger. "Ennard..." The said endo immediately turned at the weak sound of your voice. His chest ached painfully as he noticed you were shivering. "...W-What are we gon-gonna do now...?" Your teeth chattered. Yenndo had gently wrapped his arms around you in an attempt to keep you warm. But he seemed to be shivering, too. His wires provided some kind of comfort. The endo looked at Ennard with expecting eyes, which proved him to be clueless of what to do as well. Ennard could only sigh hopelessly. "I... I don't know..."

"We're lost..."
- ▪︎▪︎▪︎ -
The bushes and shrubs gave way as three sets of large, animatronic paws crashed through the wet forest. Their massive feet left shrubs crushed and deep footprints where they landed. Taking the lead was the large brown bear, and following him were his two allies, the purple rabbit, and the yellow chicken. The bear had came to a stop and dipped his head to the ground. His black nose sniffed the wet dirt, smearing it on his snout. His icy gaze scaled the dirt and slowly looked upward and ahead with a half-lided expression.
Rain...
Dirt...
Mud...
Metal...
More... Metal...
The bear sniffed again, ignoring the harsh crack of thunder that rattled the sky. His eyes widened just the slightest.
Rubber...?
...
...Rubber...
Impatiently waiting behind, the purple rabbit rattled and groaned with anticipation alongside his chicken allie, awaiting the large bears command. The purple animatronic didn't need to sniff the soaked ground to know which way their targets were headed. Ignoring the impatient growls and snarls of the other two, the bear paused and then slowly closed his eyes. His ear twitched as a faint memory flashed. A blurred memory of a stage room... The smell of rubber stung his nostrils.
Rubber...
Shoes...
An image of a party room occupied by joyful children and adults filled his head, and he stalled for a moment. Then the memory was gone. The bear blankly gazed ahead, rain running and dripping off of his nose.
They don't remember...
But I do...
Forced to obey...
I have no choice, but to obey...
The bear let out an unwilling growl and proceeded to pursue the fresh scent of his assigned targets, the rabbit and chicken wasting no time with following suit.
"What are we going to do about William now?! No one told us that the looney had a wolf with him! And we're double dunked if he has more crazy creatures like that rabid canine on his side!" Yenndo angrily cried. Him and Ennard had gotten into a sparked conversation after Ennard was clueless of what to do. You had sat down on a stump and hopelessly listened to the two argue while the heavy rain and thunder persisted. "How was I supposed to know that, Yenndo?! I was only doing what I was told to do-" "So was Springtrap, Ennard! Now we're lost, Y/N's freezing, I'm freezing, it's in the middle of the night-GRAAAAH! It's hopeless!" Yenndo screeched. The endo turned and angrily kicked a clunk of mud off of his metal foot. Ennard was shocked to see the endo act this way. It wasn't like him... "Yenndo... Listen to me..." Ennard calmly spoke. Yenndo crossed his arms and turned to face the clown with an angry scowl, but after seeing the expressions of shock on both of your faces, he frowned. "Yenndo, none of us expected this to happen, but we need to work together on this." Ennard said. Yenndo glanced away and sighed. "Lolbit did... And we should've listened to him..." The endos tone was sad. He placed a hand over his eyes and wiped the rain from his face. "He was right about Springtrap... And so are you, Ennard... We should've never trusted him..." The forest fell silent. Only the storm sounded out, but even it seemed silent at the moment... The rain was easing up. Ennards pale blue gaze lingered on Yenndo for a moment before switching to you. You perked up the slightest at his acknowledgment and gave the smallest smile you could muster. The endo made his way over to you and took a seat at your side. "...Y/N..." His low tone spoke. "I'm sorry,...for all of this. It was my idea for you to come with us... And..." He glanced back up at Yenndo. "I'm sorry, Yenndo. I should've been more concerned about Springtraps intentions."

Yenndo glanced to the ground and rubbed his neck. He knew it wasn't Ennards fault- It wasn't anyone's fault. "...Thanks, Ennard. And, I'm sorry, too... There was no need for me to act like a jerk towards you... It was uncalled for. I-It's just that... Well... W-what are we supposed to do now? We don't even know where we are." He asked. Ennard once again was blank. He glanced to you and then back to Yenndo. "Well..." He stood to his feet and walked to look out from underneath the large tree, taking note of how quiet the forest had gotten. "The rain seems to be easing up. So, to start... I think it'd be a good idea to escape this forest, at least. We need to find our way out of here. If we can do that, then we will be able to find our way back to the pizzaria." He informed. You stood to your feet with confusion. "Wait, Ennard... If we leave, then what will we do about William? If he really is trying to make a horrible hybrid, then-" "A HYBRID! T-That's what William wants us for!" Yenndo blared. You casted him a crude frown for interrupting you, but he was too shocked to notice. He walked up to Ennard and almost shook him off his frame with realization. "Ennard, William wants us to complete that hybrid thing Springtrap was talking about. That crazy man needs our parts! You're basically a party bundle of everyone at the pizzaria, and I'm just a spare tire!" He exclaimed. You were stunned and dumbfounded by the realization of Williams plan- And why he wanted Ennard and Yenndo. A blank but wide-eyed expression on Ennards face revealed the same for him. Yenndo released his grip on Ennards sturdy shoulders as the clown spoke up. He shifted his faceplates uneasily and sighed. "We... We need to find our way back to the pizzaria... If William needs our parts as bad as it seems, then... he will come back. He always does... All the years we were forced to stay in that underground facility, all the pain and hurt he has caused us all, and many others... We're going to stop him once and for all. We'll find our way back to Baby and the others, and then we'll decide on how to deal with him. And if William brings allies, then we'll find a way to stop them, too."
The strong-willed speech sparked hope and determination within you and Yenndo, so much so that the two of you almost cheered...
...Almost...
Ennards pale orbs widened as he heard a strange thumping sound. At first he thought it was the now distant thunder, but then it grew louder. It was growing louder fast. The endo turned just in time to catch a glimpse of blue eyes aggressively rushing at the three of you, you and Yenndo seeing them as well. Out of panic, Ennard rushed forward and pushed the two of you around and shoved you forward. "RUN! GO! NOW! GO!" He yelled. You and Yenndo stumbled forward and began running. Ennard twisted around to be met with a large bear animatronic lunging at him. He screeched and jumped out of the way just in time to avoid a swipe from the bears massive clawed hand. Upon missing his target, the bear let out an outraged roar and lunged again. Ennard was quick to duck and jump backwards, but he wasn't fast enough to miss the mud right behind him. He slipped and clambered to the ground. The dirt beneath him shook as the bear landed his jump and snagged Ennard by his heel before the endo could get to his feet. Ennard flailed and screeched as he was roughly dragged backwards almost effortlessly and hoisted into the air. You and Yenndo skidded to a stop as you heard a screech from behind, making the two of you whip around. Both of you cried out in terror as you saw the bear animatronic grab Ennard with his other hand and shove him into his stomach. You didn't even realize that the bear had a storage compartment on his large torso. "ENNARD!!!" You screamed. Yenndo was too stunned to move. His body was frozen with horror at what he just saw. The animatronic bear closed his torso compartment and shuttered violently before his gaze settled on Yenndo. The endo whimpered voicelessly before he grabbed you and made a hard dash. You struggled to keep up with him, and the rain and mud wasn't helping. Yenndo let go of you when you had caught up with him but he wasn't about to slow down.
Not until a clawed hand thrashed out from behind and caught your ankle. You screamed as you fell to the ground, mud now layering your upper chest and arms. You twisted onto your back to be met with a large, purple rabbit animatronic crouched over you. His hot pink eyes burned into your E/C ones as he let out a loud shriek and readied his clawed hand to swipe you. But, unfortunately, Yenndo had thrown himself onto the rabbit and wasted no time in clawing, kicking, punching, doing whatever he could do to get the animatronic off of and away from you. You scurried to your feet and glanced ahead to see the bear from before and another animatronic, a chicken, following at his side. Yenndos dry voice cut you off. "Y/N! Y/N, RUN! HURRY OR THEY'LL CATCH YOU! GO!" He wailed. The rabbit kicked the opposer off of him, and angrily got to his feet. Your eyes burned with tears as you locked eyes with Yenndo, who was now stained with mud and struggling to get to his feet. He was hurt... "Y/N, GO!!!" Without a word, you spun around and ran off into the forest, now having no choice but to keep running.
Yenndo grunted as he tried his best to scoot back from the massive bear that was approaching him. The endo bared his metal teeth in a failing attempt to make himself look dangerous. But the three twisted beings standing in front of him weren't the slightest bit intimidated. He whimpered as the bear snagged him by his chest and heaved him upwards, only mere inches from the animatronics face. Yenndo tried his best to pull away, but to no avail. He knew what was about to happen. For a split second, the endo could only guess that the animatronics blue gaze showed sorrow... But only for a moment.
The bear had a command.
He had caught Ennard...
And now he had caught Yenndo...
- ▪︎▪︎▪︎ -
Your sides ached. Your head pounded from your cries. Ennard had gotten captured... And now Yenndo, too... You were alone. You were lost. And the rain had stopped maybe two miles back, but you lost track of everything. You weren't even sure if those twisted animatronics were still chasing after you, or if they were even after you to start with. Yenndo was their main concern after he made that bold move to defend you... 'I've gotta find help... I'll find my way back to the pizzaria... I have to.... If I go back to those animatronics, they'll...' You wiped the tears from your eyes. William didn't need you... And you knew for certain that if you went back, then those twisted beings would definitely get rid of you... The trail you were currently running a marathon on had lead into a field of some sort. It was grassy, the blades wet with the long forgotten rain from earlier. There were trees scattered here and there, and bushes were placed wherever they wanted to be it seemed. You cautiously continued to walk out into the grassy field. The empty rain clouds had given way and the bright full moon had began to shine onto the landscape, providing a better range of sight. It revealed what you were now treading through. And if you didn't know any better you'd thought of the area as a cow pasture, like what you'd find on the far outskirts of a small town. That's what your mind was quietly wanting to celebrate about, that you go and could find help, but that wasn't the case with this strangely placed field. There were no fences. There were no tractors. And there was no barn to be seen.
It was a large meadow.
Your shoulders sank, and so did your hope. There was no telling how long it would take to pass through this field. And there was also no telling if there would be any help located on the other side either. You gave a sigh and thought for a moment. 'I can't turn back... It's not safe to. If I can pass through this meadow, then it might lead to a road or something. A road at least. I can follow it and find help.' And that was it. You took a deep breath, straightened your posture, and began treading through the field- Mudstains and all. You'd made your mind up. You were going to take a chance of finding a road or more walking, or risk going back and getting eating by crazy animatronics. Ennard and Yenndo were caught and you weren't gonna waste anymore time deciding on what to do. You kept a keen eye behind your back every now and then as you walked. You were more than certain that those twisted loonies weren't trailing you down, but it was a precaution just in case. As you walked you'd began picking the dried clumps of mud and stickers from your clothes. It didn't take but a second to realize how much of a mess you currently were. Your clothes were stained, you had a small cut on your forearm, your hair probably had enough twigs and leaves in it to build a birds nest, and you could feel a few pebbles in your right shoe. "Geez... If somebody saw me they'd mistake me for a sasquatch..." You felt your foot tug and almost fell forward. You glanced down and saw that your shoelace had come untied. "Ugh... I knew I shoulda switched to velcro." You knelt down and began tying it back into the little bow like before. You double notted it, and then began to re-tie and do the same to your other shoe. "It's a good thing that I didn't trip when I was running from the Easter Bunny and his friends back there..." You had paused as you finished tying your shoelace. The ground you were now kneeling on caught your attention. "...Is this...gravel...?" The words were almost inaudible. You stood to your feet and glanced around, and proved yourself right. You could've gave a laugh at how you didn't even hear yourself walk up on it. There was only one reason for this typed of ground to be out in a place like this. Someone had to of put it there. Your heart began beating faster than you'd expected it to. You turned and glanced ahead, your wide eyes following the wide path of tiny rocks that stretched ahead of you. "A road... A ROAD!" Your voice breemed with excitement as your feet took off onto the gravel road. And to make you even more excited, there was a small house in the distance. You could tell by the silhouette of it and the evidence that there was a lit up window on its side.
Your feet pounded into the driveway of the house. It was on top of a small hill, giving the residents a good view of the landscape. "Hopefully someone is home." You came to a stop by a bent mailbox. It was halfway hanging off its post, and it looked like it had been unused for years. Some faded letters on the side of the mailbox caught your attention. You furrowed your brow as you noticed that some of the letters were missing.
'H NRY E LY'
You frowned for a second and then glanced into the yard of the house. You realized that there was no vehicle to be seen...
'This place kinda looks deserted... Why is there a light on then?'
You stepped away from the mailbox and then began to approach the house. Upon stepping onto the porches front step, a wave of dizziness hit you for a second causing you to groan. "O-oh, man... That was stra-" You instantly paused as the front door slowly opened. Two things were now currently running through your mind: RUN, or see what just happened.
"...Uh... Hello...?" You called, cautiously stepping fully onto the porch. With no answer, you slowly approached the open front door. You could see the dim light in the house. 'Must be the same light shining from the window.' You thought. You gave a few knocks on the door frame and then peeked inside when there was no response. "Uhhh... Hello?... Hello, hello?" Still no answer. After glancing around without no sign of anyone being in the house, you stepped inside. The house looked pretty much clean. It was a simple house, something built in the 80s is what you concluded. If the retro furniture and carpet didn't give it away then the old school, box TV did.

A Budding Scientist in a Fantasy World
Alice is a girl who loves science and lives on Earth. Then, suddenly, she was punted into another dimension. A dimension where magic and monsters roam the land, swords and sorcery reign supreme, and, for some reason, a System keeps dinging at her and telling her that her stats and levels are increasing. As someone who loves exploring mysteries, Alice is determined to get to the bottom of this mystery. After all, everything has to have a ‘cause,’ including the System, right? What to expect: This story is going to be a LitRPG set in a fantasy world. However, unlike many LitRPG’s, the system has both a definite beginning and definite limits to what it is able to accomplish – rather than a singularly omnipotent, omniscient being that is tied to the laws of the world, the way systems are usually presented in LitRPG’s, the system is close to both, but has definite limits and rules which it operates by. This story is also relatively slow, since that is my writing style. The main character also begins the story as a young, 15-year old girl who has yet to finish high school, and is going to explore more of the world around her as she grows as a person and starts to get her feet under her. 8 144Travels of a spirit fox
When the village she watches over is destroyed in a civil war Gyoma, a kitsune is trapped in the mortal realm. With a letter adressed to the brother of a man she killed, a lord chasing her and a desire to find a way home she begins her journey I created this story as a school project and it consumed all my writer's motivation for a year. I am now going back off hiatus and am allowed to post this here. Due to the constraints of the project I feel it is more condensed than I would have liked but I won't change that. lots of research went into this.
