《Ennard X Reader: Tubes and Wires》A Walk in the Park

The four of you walked through the Control Module and then proceeded through the long, narrow hallway, soon approaching the long forgotten elevator. Springtrap took a moment to reset the elevator's breaker, causing the lights to flicker to life inside of it, followed by the door sliding open. "Well, looks like Lolbit repaired it after all... Are all of you ready?" Springtrap asked. You and Ennard nodded while Yenndo gave an unsure shrug. The endoskeleton was nervous about going back to the surface, even though he basically knew everything there was to know about it. With everyone's approval, Springtrap then turned and walked into the elevator, the three of you following close behind him. The doors slid shut, and up the machine traveled.
The ascending elevator traveled along rather slowly. It shook and jerked, which made you somewhat nervous, and the flashing lights made it all the worse. Springtrap wasn't the slightest bit bothered by all the elevator's rucus. He just simply stood facing the door, his hands held elegantly behind his back as he patiently waited for noisy trip to end. You glanced over to Yenndo to see how he was taking the small trip. Your worried expression soon curved into a smile as you held back a laugh. Yenndo was slightly hunched over with one hand against the wall, his other hand was clutched to his stomach while his face was twisted into a nauseous frown. Ennard noticed you giggling and before he could ask what you were laughing at, he looked over to Yenndo, soon laughing himself. Yenndo's ear twitched as he heard the two of you, causing him to look your way. The endoskeleton grumbled as he realized the two of you were laughing at him. "What? This is nauseating..."
About five minutes later, the elevator jolted to a stop. The flashing lights shut off and the metal doors screeched open with a loud, buzzing sound once again. The four of you stepped out of the elevator and into another building, this one being much smaller than the previous location. The new area looked old but it was rather clean. Springtrap turned to the three of you and began speaking. "I'm not certain if any of you remember this place, but it used to be the check-in office for the employees." He explained. You weren't too familiar with the office, but you remember passing through the small building when you first came here. You paid it no mind, though. The four of you proceed through a small hallway, and then reached a glass door. You gave a small, delighted gasp as you saw snow covering the ground outside. It wasn't very deep, just enough to cover most of the grass that layered the ground, and maybe even your foot if you were to step in it. Baby must not have known that it had snowed. Aside from that, some colorful letters that were plastered on the entrance side of the door caught your attention. Even though they were backwards from where you were standing, you could still read them. 'Circus Baby's Entertainment and Rental' is what it had read, but you noticed that the letters had became a little chipped and faded over the years. Springtrap lingered past you and pushed the door open, allowing you, Ennard, and Yenndo to go before himself.
The outside air was cold, but you had a jacket to protect you from the chilly, winter weather. As you walked, you guessed that it was sometime in the afternoon hour, which meant that it would be getting colder by nightfall. You paused for a moment and then looked to Ennard, who was currently stomping his feet in the snow with interest. "You guys won't get cold, will you?" You asked, your soft voice breaking Ennard's concentration. He looked at you and smiled reassuringly. "Of course not. Me and Yenndo are both endoskeletons, which means we can produce our own heat since we don't have suits." "Yeah, don't worry, Y/N, we'll keep ourselves warm." Yenndo added as the two walked ahead of you. You then glanced at Springtrap. The rabbit was looking around, deciding on a route to take. He noticed you looking at him and paused to give you his attention. "Yes?" He questioned. "Oh, I was just wondering if the cold weather bothered you?" You replied. The rabbit registered a small smile of assurance. "Well, not really. The fur on my suit is like a jacket. But my ears get a little chilly, or what's left of them anyway." He chuckled. You gave an informed smile as a reply and then turned to catch up with Ennard and Yenndo, Springtrap slowly walking along as well.

Ennard had interested himself with a tree that still had some leaves on it's low branches. He reached up and picked one from it, turning to you afterwards. "I can't believe some trees keep their leaves year round, despite how cold it can get." He said. You glanced at the leaf and then at the tree it came from. "Maybe they keep the tree warm?" You implied. Ennard shrugged and placed the leaf back on the tree's branch, acting as if he hadn't of picked it off. Yenndo was playfully stomping through the snow, acting as if he were a dinosaur. The endoskeleton was marveled by the soft substance, even though he knew what it was. He had never actually touched it before. You giggled as you watched him with amusement. That was when Springtrap spoke up. "I believe we should be on our way now. There's a park not far from here. It's through a small patch of trees, but it will keep us hidden from view until nightfall. That's when we need to head through the forest." He implied. Yenndo paused his delighted doings and gave a small, disappointed frown. He was enjoying the snow, but now wasn't the time to play. William needed to be stopped.
The four of you proceed towards the small patch of trees. It was a little larger than Springtrap had mentioned but there was a narrow trail that cut through the middle of it. "Hmm... This must be the nature trail that belongs to the park. If we cut through it, the park should be on the other side. If I estimated correctly, then we should end the trail at the park's beginning right at nightfall. The end of the park is where the forest begins." Springtrap informed. "But, aren't people going to be walking the trail? It is a park after all." Yenndo questioned. "I don't believe so, Yenndo. It's very cold today. And I'm sure that plus the snow wouldn't add up to a pleasant walk in the park. If anything, the people of the city are indoors enjoying some hot beverages." You smiled warmly at the thought of a nice cup of hot chocolate and a small plate of doughnuts. It was a very welcoming feeling, considering the fact that you and the others were traveling in the cold weather. But you shrugged the nice feeling off. You had a very important job to do, and you were going to make sure that it was complete.
Like the rest of the city, the small forest was also covered with snow. It had gotten a little darker since the four of you began traveling through the nature trail, but there was still enough time left for daylight to light the way. You marveled at the sights there was to see along the long walk. Squirrels were perched atop branches as they ate pinecones, acorns, and other tree bearing vegetation that the beautiful winter forest had to offer. The trees still had leaves on them, which made the scene ever more beautiful. Yenndo tapped you on the shoulder and pointed towards a small bush that grew a few yards off to the side of the trail. There was a little black and white animal digging around in the snow that caught his interest. You wrinkled your nose as you realized what type of critter it was. "Um, that's a skunk, Yenndo..." "Oooh! Can we pet it?" "Oh, no! You wouldn't want to be near one of those! If it feels threatened, it'll spray this horrible smelling liquid on you that takes weeks to scrub off." You warned. Yenndo paused with wide eyes and then hurried to catch up with the rest of you. Birds were chirping and singing along the trail as they flew here and there, eating berries from bushes and seeds from the trees. Yenndo would constantly ask what type they were, and Ennard would be listening with interest as you informed the curious endoskeleton of the many types of birds. Springtrap walked a few feet ahead of the three of you and tuned his good ear to hear you, for he admired how much you knee about nature. "Those big, blue birds with black and white on them are called Blue Jays, and the red ones with black around their eyes are called Cardinals- oh, and that really big, grey, fluffy looking bird sleeping in that large nest, is called a Great Horned Owl. They're mostly active at night. These are three of the most common types of birds found in parks." You said. Yenndo and Ennard glanced up at the birds with interest. Ennard then looked ahead of the trail and spotted a larger animal in the distance. "Hey, what's that?" He asked. You looked to where he was pointing and smiled with delight. "That's a deer! And it looks like she has fawns." Two baby deer came prancing out of the forest and across the trail, joining with their mother as the three then pranced into the other side of the forest. "Wow! I've never seen a baby animal before." Yenndo marvelled. You giggled and then proceed along the trail.

As you and Yenndo were watching for more animals, Ennard caught up with Springtrap. The rabbit had a slightly uneasy expression on his face. "Is something wrong?" Ennard questioned, his low voice slightly startling the said rabbit. "Oh, nothing, it's nothing... I just hope we'll make it to William before he has a chance to finish his creation..." The rabbit said, his voice trailing off afterwards. Ennard raised an eyebrow at Springtrap's downed attitude, but he soon shrugged it off. "So, uh, how much further is this trail? The sun isn't going to stay in one place forever, you know." Springtrap thought for a moment, before he looked ahead. "I believe we've walked most of it, but it's hard to say. I think we'll be at the park shortly." He replied. Ennard gave a nod and then glanced back to check on you. Yenndo had found a beetle under a rock and was playfully chasing you around with it, teasingly saying that it wanted to hug you. Springtrap caught a view of it as well and began chuckling, Ennard soon doing the same. "I've noticed that you seem to have a special bond with Y/N..." Springtrap spoke. Ennard paused for a moment and then smiled nervously. "Uh, well... Yeah... She's been really nice to me- to everyone, really." The clown replied. He then frowned. "Look, I don't want to sound rude or anything, but could you stop addressing Y/N using 'Sweetheart'?" Ennard asked. Springtrap gave a smirk and crossed his arms. "Oh, getting jealous now, are we?" The rabbit chuckled. Ennard scoffed and rolled his eyes. "No, I'm not jealous. Y/N's just very important to me, ok? She's the first human that ever cared about us." He said. Springtrap just chuckled and continued walking.
At long last, the trail had finally came to an end- as did Yenndo's teasings with the beetle. The bug had let out it's hard wings in an attempt to fly away, which made Yenndo screech and throw it off his hand. And just as Springtrap had estimated, the four of you had made it there just in time for nightfall. The park was just up ahead, and it was also layered with snow. A street light stood nearby, which provided the park with some light. It looked rather abandoned, but you knew better. After all, who could resist hanging out at the park? The four of you walked into the park and looked around. It was near a street, which a car would pass by on every now and then, but the driver paid no attention to anything but the icy road. Springtrap had began discussing the route through the large forest with Ennard and Yenndo, which gave you some time to walk around. You easily spotted the playground set that was placed in the middle of the park. A little smile registered on your face as you walked over to it. There was a swing set placed on the side of the playground equipment. You brushed the snow from one of the swings and then took a seat on it, gently swinging your feet back and forth so you wouldn't fall off, for the chains were too cold to grasp for balance.
"That's the route we will take. All of you may rest for a while if you'd like. That trail was rather long." Springtrap implied. Yenndo and Ennard gave a relieved sigh and then separated from the conversation. Springtrap had sat down at a nearby table to rest while Yenndo had found a bench to lay down on, not minding the snow that was already there. Ennard glanced around and noticed you sitting on the swings, making him smile as he made his way over to you. You glanced up at the sound of the snow crunching as someone approached where you were. "Oh, hey. What's up?" You greeted. Ennard just smiled, brushed the snow off from the swing beside you and then took a seat. "Springtrap said we should take a little break after all that walking earlier." He replied. You gave an informative nod and then glanced around at the small park. "You mentioned that you've been to the surface before?" You said. Ennard had gotten lost in his thoughts and had to recall your question. "Oh, uh...yeah... Once." He answered sheepishly, looking down afterwards. You glanced at him for a moment and then looked at the play set. "...Have you ever been to a park before?" Ennard looked up as he heard your question, his sheepish expression now one of blanckness. "...N-no." He quietly stuttered. "What? Seriously?" You said in amazement. Ennard nervously shrugged his shoulders. You smiled and then got up from your swing, taking his hand in yours. "C'mon. You have to play on the playground!" Before Ennard could oppose, you had pulled him towards the play set, climbing up the rope ladder afterwards. After you made it to the top, you glanced down at Ennard, who was blankly gazing up at you. He was a little confused because he had no idea how to climb a ladder. You gave an assuring smile at his uneasiness. "Don't be so naive, Ennard, it's easy! Just put your feet in the rope's openings and use your hands to help you climb up!" You ushered. Ennard then glanced back down at the rope ladder. He slipped his foot into one of the rope's openings and grasped onto the knotted part of the rope. You gave a happy smile as he cautiously began to climb up, soon making his way to the top. "See, it's easy! Oh, and be careful, it's a little slippery up here." Ennard glanced back down at the ground and gave a slight shiver as he averted his gaze. "What? Are you cold?" You giggled. "N-no... It's just sort of high up for a play set..." He replied nervously. You laughed and then made your way to one of the play sets' slides. It was, by far, the longest one.
Ennard hadn't moved from his spot but he watched as you sat down on the slide and then disappeared. He was puzzled for a moment before he heard snow crunching, followed by someone climbing up the ladder. He was relieved to see that it was you, but he was puzzled once more. The robotic clown furrowed his eyebrows and then glanced over to the slide, then back at you. "H...h-how did you do that?" He asked, pure confusion plastered on his face. You were also confused, but soon realized what he was talking about. "I went down the slide. C'mon and I'll show you." You implied, hurrying over the slide. Ennard gave a little sigh and then slowly stood up. He glanced down at the ground and gave another shiver. The play set was rather high up, and Ennard's height didn't help calm him any. The clown gave a little, surprised gasp as something gently grasped his hand, causing him to look in front of himself. It was just you. You soon gathered that Ennard was afraid of heights, which made you smile assuringly. "Ennard, I promise, you won't fall. I'm right here, ok? Just follow me, and no looking down..." You persuaded. Ennard hesitantly gave a nod and allowed you to guide him towards the slide. When the two of you had successfully made it, you sat down on the slide. "Ok, all you have to do is sit on the slide and slide down." You informed, sliding down the slide afterwards. You got to your feet and then glanced back up at Ennard with a smile. "Now you try!" Ennard smiled back nervously and then sat down on the slide. He paused for a moment and then looked back down at you. "Why aren't I moving?" He asked. You giggled and then rolled your eyes. "You've gotta lean forward a little, sillygooose!" Ennard 'Oh'ed and then leaned forward a little. He gasped as he started to move, causing him to scoot back, but it only made him slip flat against the slide. He screeched in surprise as he quickly slid down the slide, flying into the snow when he got to the end of it.
You couldn't help but fall to the ground laughing as Ennard stood up with a terrified expression on his face. The left side of his mask loosely hung open as he shook the snow from his wires. He glared at the slide with disbelief. "T-that was suppose to be fun?! I felt like a bowling ball rolling towards it's death! How can that be fun?!" Ennard cried. You just kept laughing at his reaction. You got to your feet and walked over to the angry animatronic. "Oh, c'mon! It wasn't that scary, was it?" You cooed, elbowing Ennard teasingly. He huffed and then rolled his eyes. "Well, maybe not to you, but I think it was terrifying..." He grumbled.

The Voice of the World
Jason Elric used to be an ordinary college student living in the heart of San Francisco. He had a part time job, he played online games with friends he got along moderately well with, and he earned reasonably good grades. The worst he really had to worry about in life was turning in his coursework on time and not being late to class. Now, though? Now fighting for his life and running from a horde of giant frogs that want to make him their next meal is just another Tuesday. Thanks to a summoning ritual gone terribly right, Jason has found himself trapped in a world eerily similar to the role playing games games he used to play for fun. Unfortunately for the now ex-college student, everything happening around him is terrifyingly real and if he wants to survive, he’ll have to figure out how to exploit the system for his benefit before it’s too late. The Voice of the World is the first part of what is planned to be a multi-book, Isekai LitRPG story with crafting elements, set in the fantasy world known as Verdania. This is my first time posting online for public consumption, so bear with me as I work to find a style that people like. While I may occasionally write scenes that may deal with heavy concepts, expect this story to be primarily light hearted high fantasy. There will be a lot of common fantasy tropes involved, as this story got its start as a simple practice exercise, rather than any plan to actually post it. However, it’s grown on me, so I felt it’s worth sharing after all. Thus, if you’re looking for more serious/original/unusual stories, you might want to look elsewhere. For the rest of you, feel free to leave suggestions, as well as to point out grammar and spelling mistakes; I’ll do my best to make edits to correct them. I do my own editing currently, and it’s easy to miss things when you know what’s supposed to be there, so such call outs are highly encouraged. Content TLDR: No harems, probably no romance (unless it makes sense for the story later on) (it did, eventually), definitely no sex (keeping this PG-13 or close to it), limited profanity. Does/Will contain mixes of magic and technology (think Warhammer, Final Fantasy); copious amounts of blue tables; race, gender, and sexual equality concepts; crafting sequences; and (slightly, but not overbearingly) strong protagonists. If you don’t like these things, go elsewhere instead of downvoting people for content instead of writing quality. Update Time currently varies, due to personal injury, but the goal is 1/week on Wednesdays, with a possible smaller chapter on weekends if time/health permits.
