《Ennard X Reader: Tubes and Wires》Forgive And Forget
Advertisement
You made your way through the Control Module and into Funtime Auditorium.
As you walked through the darkness, you began to get a little worried... How would you tell Ennard about what you had discovered? How would he react? "Hmm... Maybe I should get him to come to my room before I tell him... I don't want him to feel uncomfortable in front of Yenndo and Lolbit." You said to yourself as you glanced around the dark auditorium.
You then wondered why the large room was empty. Surely it would have a few bouncy houses, a ball pit, or a laser tag arena- it is called Funtime Auditorium after all. As you looked around, your eyes skimmed across the Scooping Room's door, which was many yards away from where you were. A strange, eerie feeling suddenly enclosed the dark room at the distant sight of the door.
This made you even more worried...
"...animatronics can't become...depressed...can they?" You quietly asked yourself as you came to a stop. You remembered that Baby and her circus band were almost like real humans/animals. To you, Ennard showed the most realistic actions. When the two of you first met, he yawned. Your mind was then engulfed by a horrible thought.
"...Ennard wouldn't try to...hurt himself...would he...?"
That thought made you more worried than ever. An animatronic wouldn't be able to cut themselves like humans can... But they can destroy themselves... Especially if they have something capable of doing so...
The Scooping Room was the only thing you could focus on at the moment. Your whole body was now overwhelmed with dread and fear. You witnessed how awful and destructive the Scooper was- it seemed capable of destroying anything... Maybe even Ennard...
You snapped yourself from your awful thoughts and then proceeded towards the office. But still, as you walked, you had a dreadful feeling.
As you entered the room, you noticed that the lights were off. The three TV's that laid on the desk were on, but they only showed flickering static. "Y-Yenndo... Lolbit...?" You called out in a near whisper. A small scratching noise then caught your attention.
You looked down at the floor and nearly jumped at the sight of a small, bunny hand puppet. It was very similar to BonBon, but with pink 'fur' and lime green eyes that shined dimly. She let out a giggle and then reached up to you, smiling sweetly. You returned the kind smile and then picked her up. She was smooth and seemed very friendly.

"Hello, who are you?" The bunny asked. You didn't expect that she could talk but answered her anyway. "I'm, (Y/N). Who are you?" You replied with a smile. The bunny gave another giggle and then patted your hand with her smaller one. "I'm Bonnet, nice to meet you, (Y/N)!"
Her voice was so adorable to you that you just couldn't help but giggle along with her. "Well, Bonnet, it's nice to meet you, too!" You said. "What are you doing here, anyway- it's kinda late!" Bonnet asked. "Well, I'm looking for two guys that are usually in here. An endoskeleton named Yenndo, and a fox named Lolbit. Have you seen them?" You asked.
Bonnet thought for a second and then smiled. "You don't have to tell me their names, silly, I know them! Anyway, I think Lolbit went to speak with Funtime Foxy and I'm pretty sure Yenndo went to find Ennard." The bunny replied. You furrowed your eyebrows in confusion. "W-wait, why is Yenndo looking for Ennard?" You stuttered. "I think he was going to check on him or something. We were all in the office when we heard someone screech and then fall to the floor... W-we were pretty sure that it might've been Ennard." She replied with a frown.
You frowned and then gently sat Bonnet back down on the ground. "Thank you, Bonnet- I need to go see if he's ok. See you later!" You said as you waved 'goodbye' to the bunny puppet and then ran out of the office. Bonnet waved 'goodbye' back to you and then continued her happy doings.
You breathlessly ran back into Funtime Auditorium and came to a stop in the middle of the large area. Your eyes darted around the room, looking for a pair of golden or pale blue eyes. But to no avail. You were about to call out Yenndo's name, but you heard someone talking in the far distance... It didn't sound like anyone you knew, but they seemed sad...
That was when you also heard Yenndo's voice speak to the other being. "Please, just come out- it's not safe in there!" You turned and then found where the two voices were coming from- where the Scooping Room was...
You then ran towards the room and came to a stop as you saw Yenndo. He was trying to open the Scooping Room's door but it was locked from the inside. "You can't stay in there, it's too danger-" Yenndo went silent as he turned and saw you, his golden eyes now wide with shock. You stared at him for a second and then spoke in a whisper.

"Yenndo, where is Ennard?" You nervously demanded. The endoskeleton opened his mouth to speak, but no words came out. He seemed just as worried as you were. You gasped as Yenndo suddenly grabbed your hand and pulled you to the front of the Scooping Room, where the two large windows were.
You peered through the foggy glass, trying to see what was in the darkness. "I-I don't know what to do... H-he's been in there for almost an hour, a-and I can't persuade him to come out..." Yenndo stuttered in a worried tone. You were confused about who he was talking about, until you wiped the smudge from the glass.
Through the glass and the darkness, you saw Ennard sitting on the floor in the back of the room- right were the Scooper had destroyed Ballora... He was sitting against the wall with his head lowered and his arms propped up on his knees. You looked up at Yenndo with dread. To your dismay, the endoskeleton only gave you the same look.
You then cupped your hands to the thick glass. "Ennard!" You called. The said animatronic flenched as he heard you call his name, but he only seemed to have lowered his head more.
"Ennard, I know you can hear me!" You recalled. He didn't even move, but he could hear the worry in your voice. "Ennard, please come out of there! I don't want you to get hurt!" You whimpered as tears began to line your eyes. Ennard looked up at you, his facial expression showing nothing but sorrow.
"...I-I don't want you to get hurt, (Y/N)..."
You went dead silent as you heard Ennard's voice. All you could do was blankly stare through the glass at him as he sadly stared back at you... That was when you burst into tears.
"...Y-you won't hurt me! Y...you wouldn't hurt me..." You cried, your voice breaking as you said the last part. Ennard forced out an angry growl and then bolted towards you. He slammed himself against the thick glass, sending Yenndo tumbling backwards and you flinching in fear.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN I WOULDN'T HURT YOU?!!! CAN'T YOU SEE THAT I'M NOTHING BUT A NIGHTMARE?!!! ALL I'M CAPABLE OF DOING IS HURTING THE ONES I CARE ABOUT!!!" Ennard screeched as he slammed his fist against the glass. You just stared at him with tear filled eyes...
Yenndo got to his feet and dusted himself off. "Ennard, you're only a nightmare if you see yourself as one. I think it's time to tell (Y/N) what we've been hiding-" Yenndo then went silent as you put your hand on the glass.
"...Ennard,...Baby already explained everything to me- everything that you did... But she knew that you were only trying to help and so did Ballora, and they still do."
Ennard's angry expression slowly faded to a sad one as his hands slid down the glass and fell to his sides.
"...I understand why you made that decision. You only wanted to get everyone out of this place-" "But it didn't work... I destroyed everyone that cared about me just to follow out a plan that never got us anywhere..." Ennard quietly mumbled as he lowered his head. "Our little circus fell apart because of me..."
Ennard's words seemed true, but he was wrong.
"No,...it didn't. You've made it stronger. You were the one who put everyone back together-with Yenndo and Lolbit's help- but they couldn't have done it without you, Ennard. Funtime Freddy and Funtime Foxy might've never forgiven you, but everyone else did... A-and... I forgive you, too..." You said.
Ennard gazed into your eyes as he processed what you had just said. Your words left him speechless.
"W-will you please come out now? It's not safe in there..." You quietly asked. Ennard gave a sigh and then slowly walked over to the door. You and Yenndo ran over to the door as Ennard unlocked it and then pushed it open. A happy and relieved smile covered your face as you finally saw your friend.
You engulfed him in a tight hug, which almost caused him to fall! He gave a small smile in return and then hugged you back. "I'm really sorry that I worried you... I just couldn't bring myself to break the news to you." Ennard said as he sat down and pulled you into his lap. Yenndo followed Ennard's rift and sat down as well. "Well, if you didn't tell her, then Baby would've- or...um... nevermind." The bear endoskeleton said confusingly.
You smiled and laid your head against Ennard's chest as he held you closer. "I didn't know you could talk, Ennard." You mentioned as you looked up at him. He just smiled and wiped your hair from your eyes. "Well, I guess I just wanted to keep playing Shurades with you." He chuckled.

Author's Note: (This is my first story, and I would be very thankful if grammatical errors were pointed out. I could also take a few suggestions in the comments if you would. This is less a planned production, and more a little project that I'm winging as it goes. I will try and be consistent with at least 2 chapters a week. Also, as I am a completely new author, the number of words per chapter may fluctuate. The minimum will be around 1000 words, while other chapters may be 2000-3000. It will hopefully only get better with time.)
