《Ennard X Reader: Tubes and Wires》Secrets Don't Keep

Funtime Freddy's laughs and screeching had faded. You stopped in the middle of the gallery and shakily fell to your knees. Your hands covered your face as tears burst from your eyes. "...i-it's not true... He's wrong... Ennard's not like that..." You whimpered.
The pain you were currently in was excruciating, but your mental pain was even worse... Your heart felt like it was broken...
You shakily laid down on the cold floor as you continued to quietly cry. You were tired, too tired to even make it to your room.
~*~
Ennard sadly slunked along through Funtime Auditorium, loosely holding his white clown mask in his right hand as he walked- or dragged his metal feet along.
All he could think about was you...
Yenndo's sincere words haunted his mechanical brain, "You will have to tell her sooner or later."
But how was he supposed to tell you? He couldn't even bring himself to talk... And what would you think of him afterwards? He knew that you wouldn't see him like you did before, you wouldn't even want to stay in this underground circus anymore...
A new feeling now rattled through Ennard's chest cavity- an awful one. He let out an agonizing screech as he dropped his mask and clutched his metal chest. He then felt his legs weaken, which immediately brought him to his knees.
Suddenly, memories flooded into Ennard's head- terrible ones. They flashed in an awful, mind-shattering collage, making his system glitch. It was too much for him to handle- he couldn't take all the memories of what he did. And he was terrified of it all.
Suddenly, everything was still...
Ennard calmed himself and thought for a minute, pushing all of his horrible memories from his mind. He had to tell you. If he wanted to be your friend, he had to tell you... Friends don't keep secrets from each other...
Ennard sighed sadly and then fell backwards onto the cold floor. He blankly stared upwards at the dark ceiling as his mind searched for a way to break the news to you, but to no avail.
He then grabbed his mask and sadly stared at it for a while. He remembered that you loved his clown mask. You enjoyed clicking his faceplates back into place whenever they were loose. You loved his little party hat that he had as well.
But what he treasured the most about you was the fact that you weren't afraid of him...even if you should be... Along with Baby and Ballora, you considered him one of your dearest friends, someone who you could tell anything to and not feel bad or weird about it. But did he feel the same way about you? How would you react if he just told you that he destroyed all of his friends to build himself, an escape plan that never worked?
Ennard gave another frustrated gurgle and then put his white mask back on. He then got to his feet and turned his direction away from Ballora's Gallery...and to the Scooping Room.

Ennard forced the heavy, rusty door open and then glanced around the room. It was dark and unsettling as usual, but to Ennard, it felt like home- like it was were he belonged...
"...A nightmare like me belongs here..."

Your eyes slowly fluttered open as you felt a hand treating a cut on your arm. You winced as a bandage was then applied, making you sit up and rub your blurry eyes so your vision would return.
"Are you alright, (Y/N)?" A way too familiar voice asked. You turned to your side to see Baby beside you with a first aid kit in her lap. You blinked a few times and then rubbed your head. "...y-yeah? W-what happened, what am I doing in Circus Control?" You asked in confusion as you looked around the familiar room. You then spotted Bidy and Bab next to your other side. The two minitronics were smiling in pure delight at your 'arrival'.
"Oh, (Y/N), we're so happy you're ok!" Bidy cried as she gave you a quick, loving hug. "Yeah, we thought you were a goner!' Bab added. You looked up at Baby, looking for an answer. She sat the first aid kit aside and then pulled you into a hug. "Are you ok?" She quietly repeated. "Y-yes, I'm ok. But how did I get here?" You asked as she released you from the hug.
"Ballora found you laying on the floor in her gallery. She tried to wake you, but you didn't move and she thought that something was wrong. That's when she brought you to me." She explained. You then looked at your bandaged arm and remembered what had happened. Funtime Freddy threw you into the wall... Again...
Baby's voice snapped you from your thoughts. "What happened? How did you get this cut on your arm?" She asked. You blankly stared at the female clown. How were you suppose to tell her that you tried speaking with Funtime Freddy, after she warned you not to go near him? "(Y/N)?" You blinked upon hearing Baby's soft voice once again.
Maybe she wouldn't be too upset about it.
"I was...talking to Funtime Freddy..." You lowered your head and murmured. "What?!" Baby gasped. You looked up at her and coward in worry. "I-I'm sorry-" "I've told you how dangerous he is! Why did you try speaking with him?" Baby sternly interrupted, silencing you. Your worry was replaced with fear...
Now you had to tell her why you went and spoke with him...
"...I-I found this...f-folder...in the Control Module..." You started. Baby's unpleased facial expression was replaced with a shocked one as you continued. "I looked through it a-and found...blueprints...of everyone... Everyone except Ennard...." You stuttered as you nervously fiddled with your fingers. "...you didn't read the blueprints...did you?" Baby quietly asked. You looked down and then sadly nodded your head. "...I read all of them..."
Baby's posture had stiffened. Bidy and Bab looked at each other with worried expressions.

"Baby,...I-I had a dream last night. You were on stage, singing, when I walked up to you... I-I asked you for...a-an ice cream... You did as I asked, but...I didn't get to taste it... I got pulled into your stomach..." You started. Baby frowned as you continued. "Funtime Freddy told me that you accidentally... killed a little girl..."
You heard Baby's faceplates shift, followed by her giving a sad sigh. "...y...yes... I-it was an accident- I didn't know my springlocks were loose that day... When I gave her the ice cream, I-I couldn't move. I knew something was wrong... But I couldn't speak for some reason. If I could... I would've warned the little girl not to come near me..." Baby quietly said. Her voice was heartbroken and filled with sorrow...
So your dream was right... That really did happen, just not to you...
"Baby...I know you didn't mean to do that... And it's ok..." You said, hoping it would ease Baby's sadness some. "But what if that little girl was you, (Y/N)? I would've never forgiven myself!" Baby's word surprised you. The reason why she worried about you all the time was because of an accident that happened years ago...
She only wanted to keep you safe...
"Baby... Please don't be sad... C-clowns aren't supposed to be sad, they're supposed to be happy and cheerful, and make you laugh!" You said with a small smile. Baby looked up at you and returned the act of kindness.
"Ok, good, smiles are good! Let's keep this happy mood, we are in a circus after all~" You stated with a proud smile. Thankfully, your act had lightened Baby's mood.
You gave a relived sigh and then continued. "I went to speak with Funtime Freddy because I thought he'd know a few things about this picture I found in the file. It was a picture of the Scooping Room." Baby lowered her voice and then leaned in closer to you. "What did he tell you?"
"He told me that Ennard destroyed all of you to build himself- and to escape this place. But it never worked... Did it?" You asked. Baby slowly shook her head and rubbed her arm.
"It wasn't his fault... Ennard only wanted to help us. He never meant to cause any harm. Funtime Freddy has held a terrible grudge against Ennard ever since that day- even though they used to be great friends. Funtime Foxy decided to go along with Funtime Freddy's decision since he was also a Funtime animatronic." Baby explained. "Then what about you and Ballora, and the minitronics?" You asked.
Baby gave a small smile and allowed her BidyBabs to explain. "We knew Ennard wanted to help us escape from this place, but Funtime Freddy and Funtime Foxy thought he was just being selfish." Bab stated. "Yeah, and Ennard felt horrible about what he did, so he decided to rebuild all of us, with the help of Yenndo and Lolbit, of course." Bidy added. Baby then put the last puzzle piece in it's place. "Over the years, Funtime Foxy lost his voice due to faulty wiring, but Funtime Freddy told him that Ennard broke his voice box. And due to isolating himself for a long time, Funtime Freddy lost his sanity. He developed severe anger issues and has gotten a temptation to hurt anyone who is around him." Baby explained.
From this evidence, you pieced together a few things by yourself. "So Funtime Foxy only goes by what Funtime Freddy says?" You questioned. Baby nodded her head. "Funtime Foxy does what Funtime Freddy implies, but Lolbit can talk him out of almost anything easily, due to him also being a fox." This brought Yenndo into your mind. "If Lolbit can persuade Funtime Foxy to do good, then shouldn't Yenndo be able to do the same with Funtime Freddy?" You asked.
Baby shook her head. "Sadly, no... Yenndo is an endoskeleton, just like Ennard. Funtime Freddy sees Yenndo as a traitor because he has a similar appearance to Ennard and would only try to destroy him." She stated.
You nodded in understanding and then looked at your arm bandage. You had to admit that it was well applied. "Thanks for the bandage, by the way. And I'm sorry for plundering through the Control Module... And for going around Funtime Freddy...after you warned me not to..." You said, mumbling the last part. (Rapunzel, you know how I feel about the mumbling, 'Blah blah blah!"😂) Baby gave a little chuckle and then pulled you into a hug once more. "It's alright. I'm just happy that you're ok." She then released you from the hug as another sad expression covered her face.
"And I'm not angry with you... You were going to find out about all of this sooner or later..." Baby said. You shrugged your shoulders as a reply. "Yeah, I guess..."
You then thought of Ennard...
"B-but what about Ennard? How do I break the news to him? I-I don't want to give him a heart attack!" You fretted. Bidy jumped into your lap and smiled widely. "Oh, don't be so worried, (Y/N)- he'll understand that we told you everything!" She cheered as Bab nodded assuringly. The two made you smile.
"Ok, then, thanks guys! I'll go back to Yenndo and Lolbit, that's the last place I saw him at." You said as Bidy jumped from your lap and allowed you to stand up.
Baby was confused at what you meant. "Ennard didn't follow you back?" You looked at her and then shook your head. "No. He didn't follow me and Ballora back here. I think he's still in Funtime Auditorium with Yenndo and Lolbit." You assumed. Baby took your word and nodded. "Alright then. And please be safe when you leave- I'm running out of band-aids!"

Bitter
The story of a girl who finds her life is not what she wanted. So she gets another one. Schedule: Story has been completed. Book One is available free on Amazon and EPUB. Books Two to Five are out now. Final Book out soon. Chapters will be around 500-1000 words. This will not change so if you don't like reading very short chapters wait till the end of the week or even end of the month. This many chapters a week isn't easy to pull off so please bear that in mind. This is a VRMMORPG story, but the ones I've read tend to use VR as an excuse to get into a fantasy world and then don't really play up the game aspect other than pulling up a status screen every now and then. To me, MMOs are about more than the fantasy setting. Bugs, exploits, devs who don't understand their own game, OP classes, over the top nerfs, p2w, ridiculous RNG, cash shop fiasco, lockboxes, raging players, broken mechanics, limited bag space, tedious crafting and above all that, a company trying to squeeze money out if its playerbase while pretending they're just in the business of having fun. Of course, then there's the orcs and elves. This story is about finding yourself in a completely immersive fantasy game, but it's also about what a game like that would really be like.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
