April 5th. Also Gajeel's birthday.
Your exceed, Kaia, was awake before you, as usual.
"Wake up, (y/n)!" Kaia flew on top of you. You groaned "Just five more minutes..."
"You've been saying that for the past hour!" Kaia stated.
She tried pulling off your blankets but your had wrapped yourself inside the blanket like a burito.
"I guess I have no choice." Kaia sighed. She transformed into her battle form and made a bucket with her wood-make magic. She went to the bathroom and filled it up with ice-cold water and dumped it on you. You immediately jumped up.
"Ahh! cold!" You shrieked.
"You asked for it." Kaia rolled her eyes and transformed back into her exceed form.
"No I didnt! I asked for five more minutes!" You yelled. You then remembered what day it was.
"It's Gajeel's birthday and I have nothing for him!" You panicked.
"I still think that you can do better..." Kaia said.
"Your an annoying little cat, aren't you?" you sighed.
"First of all I think you need to do something about your hair. And you might wanna change." Kaia said, pointing to your drenched pyjamas and hair.
-
You and Kaia walked around Magnolia looking for something to get Gajeel.
"I have no idea what he would want." you pouted.
"Well, we could get him a new guitar" Kaia stated.
You chuckled. "Yea. Natsu completely destroyed Gajeel's guitar."
"So then let's get him a new guitar!" Kaia suggested.
"Yea! I know a super nice guitar store around here. It's were I got my guitar strings fixed and I heard they also do custom guitars!" You and Kaia headed for the shop.
You entered the shop. There were guitars everywhere; new ones, old ones, acoustic, electric, and more. You walked up to the glass counter and you were met by a nice gentleman.

"Hey there! Nice to see you again!" The gentleman said.
"Nice to see you too, Kazuki!" You waved.
"So how can I help you?" Kazuki asked.
"Well, I need a custom guitar. For an Iron mage. But, don't make it out of Iron, or else he'll eat it." you said.
"Ok. An order of new guitars just got shipped in today so I might have the perfect one." Kazuki pulled out a shiny, white guitar.
"I think he'll like it! But can we make it less...plain?" You asked.
"Sure thing!"
-
"Have you seen (Y/n) around?" Gajeel asked Mirajane.
"No, sorry." Mirajane said, cleaning a cup.
"Hmm..."
You crashed through the doors holding a huge gift box. You wobbled down the stairs.
"Happy birthday Gajeel..." you said out of breath. You plopped the oversized gift onto the counter top next to Gajeel.
"Open it right here, right now.." you demanded "I am not carrying that anywhere else." you pouted.
"As for you," Kaia got into her human form and pushed Natsu into a corner "you are gonna stay no where near this gift."
"Why not?" Natsu whined.
"Are you seriously going to start arguing with me?" Kaia shouted.
Gajeel opened the gift and saw the guitar. His eyes widened. He picked up the guitar; it was a shiny, white guitar. It had Gajeel's name engraved onto the side.
"Where'd you get this?" Gajeel asked.
"From the guitar shop in the center of Magnolia." you replied.
"You better not break this one, Salamander!" Gajeel yelled.
"Like hell I'll even want to see it!" Natsu retorted.
"Bet you you're just jealous because Lucy has never gotten you something this sick!" Gajeel blurted.

You chuckled. "Glad you like it." you gave Gajeel a soft peck on his lips.
Gajeel grabbed your hand and lead you outside the guild.
"How about we try practicing that duet again?" Gajeel asked.
"Sure!"
-
It was twilight and you and Gajeel sat under the big tree, playing your guitars. Pantherlily and Kaia were playing cards; Speed, to be exact.
"I think that somethings wrong with the music sheet." You stated "it says here we have to play d# but I'm pretty sure you play c#. It doesn't sound right any other way."
Gajeel tried playing that part and nodded.
"Just write over it." he said. You pulled out a pen and wrote over the D sharp and made it a C sharp.
You heard Kaia and Lily arguing. It wasn't the first time they argued today.
(if you've ever played speed, you know exactly what I mean.)
"I slapped the smaller deck first!" Pantherlily retorted.
"No, you slapped the bigger deck and then the smaller deck," Kaia explained. "So I get the smaller deck."
"No! I still slapped the smaller deck before you!"
"But you slapped the bigger deck first!"
You laughed. Gajeel chuckled and shook his head.
"I'm not even gonna bother going over there to resolve this fight." you sweatdropped. You and Gajeel continued to practice until midnight.
