"Wake up P'Pha," a sweet voice whispered next to his ear as a soft hand caressed his cheek softly.

Opening his eyes in a snapped he grapped the hand in a vice grip and looked around desperately. He drew in a sharp breath when he noticed Yo sitting next to his bed.

He blinked and stared at him for a few more seconds. Yo tried to take back his hand but Pha gripped it so hard that it turned pale.

"Is it really you? Are you really here?" He whispered hoarsely, he swallowed to appease his dried and aching throat.

Yo nodded shyly, "it's really me P'Pha, now let go of my hand. You're hurting me."

"I won't, what if you disappear again."

Yo sighed and leaned down close to him, "are you ready to break off your engagement for me?"

Pha stared into his soft brown eyes and nodded immediately, "I will, I will do anything for you. I will even marry you this minute if you say so."

Yo gasped as he blushed fiery red, he looked down shyly and bit his lips, "I didn't say marriage. We're not boyfriends and dating yet."

"But you will marry me right?"

"Is that your idea of a marriage proposal Pha? If so then you suck big time." Beam declared loudly as he entered the room and started checking his chart.

Yo took this moment of distraction to take his hand back. He was red from embarrassment.

Pha scowled at him, "what are you doing here?"

Beam laughed, "is that how you thanks your doctor? I saved your life you jerk, at least be a little more graceful."

Pha frowned as he looked around. Shocked, he finally noticed that he was in a hospital. Sitting up he groaned at his protesting body or more specifically his burning stomach. Yo quickly arranged his pillow behind him so that he can lean back comfortably. Catching Yo's hand again he tugged him towards him and make him sit on the bed with him. Holding him possessively around the waist he turned to Beam.

"What the fuck am I doing here?"

Beam was not affected by his rough and harsh voice, he looked at him calmly and replied, "you nearly died you fool. I had to empty your stomach. You got alcohol poisoning and if Forth wouldn't have rushed you to the hospital in time you would have been in a really critical condition."

Hearing a sniff they both turned to Yo who had big drops of tears running down his fluffy cheeks, he put his head on the crook of Pha's arm and said tearfully, "you nearly died P'Pha, I almost lost you."

Pha tugged him closer and engulfed him comfortably, "you wouldn't have lost me love because even in death I wouldn't have leave you alone. I would have haunt you until you joined me up there."

"You are so creepy Pha." Beam said unbelievably.

The door opened and Forth entered. He paused upon seeing Pha, "I see that the Romeo is awake. Good, you slept enough as it is."

"For how long was I sleeping?"Pha asked Beam but the said doctor looked flustered as he avoided looking at Forth. He turned this way and that, "I...I need to check other patients. By..bye."

He left in a hurry as Yo and Forth looked at him quizzically. Only Pha was not surprised, he was used to this behaviour of his best-friend in front of his brother, the only surprising thing was that Beam was like that since young and he still didn't change.

Forth shook his head, " I swear your friend keep getting weirder. I know I did nothing to frighten him but he still run away whenever he sees me."

"Maybe he likes you P'Forth." Yo exclaimed excitingly.

"Huhh?" Forth looked surprised at the suggestion but he shrugged it off as he turned to Pha, "So how are you feeling little brother?"

"Good, just a little thirsty."

"Ohh! You should have told me P'Pha, wait I will bring water for you." Yo got up hurriedly.

"NOOO!" Pha shouted as he lunged for Yo and brought him to him again, "you stay here by my side."

"But I was only going to bring you some water."

"I said no! Don't you dare leave me again. Do it and I will hunt you and caged you."

"Does that mean I will have to bring you water?" Forth asked sourly.

Pha nodded, "it's obviously going to be you."

"Yes yes I know. But get back soon on your feet because I didn't tell dad that you tried to kill yourself over this little guy here. I told him that you got dehydrated and loss consciousness from overwork. He will be here shortly to see you along with mum."

Pha snarled, "I didn't tried to kill myself," but Forth waved him off and replied as he turned to go, "say whatever you want little brother but for me it's always going to be you tried to suicide over love."

Pha growled at his retreating back but he changed his expression quickly when he feel small hands on his face. Yo put his face in front of him and looked at him seriously with big teary eyes, "did you really tried to kill yourself P'Pha?"

He sighed as he quickly gave him a peck on his lips, "no baby, I didn't. Why would I kill myself when you were somewhere out there alone. Of course in time you would have met someone else and I can't accept that. I was just a little careless and drank too much in frustration of losing you. I was going to dig the whole Earth to find you but I lost courage too soon."

"It worked didn't it? You finally realised that what I wanted was not what you wanted to give me. I want you fully P'Pha, I want you to be my prince charming but you insisted on being the villain."

Pha smiled and whispered softly, "I love you and I'm sorry that I caused you so much pain. I blame my stupid heart because I couldn't understand what I was feeling. In fact I fell in love with you at first sight and continued falling harder and harder until I lost my complete sanity over you."

Pha took his hand and placed a kiss on his palm, "I'm telling you love, don't even think of leaving me again because I won't survive it this time."

Yo leaned over and placed a soft kiss in his cheek, "I love you too P'Pha and I promise I won't leave you, at least not before you become mine completely. I won't accept sharing you, now or ever."

Pha looked at him intensely and finally replied when he saw Yo getting nervous, "I am giving you my all, my body, my soul, my mind and my heart. I swear that I am completely and fully yours." He grapped the back of his neck and pulled him closer, "prepare yourself sweet because I am going to be present in every second of your life as from now on."

"P'Pha," Yo said uncertainly, "I want you to do another thing for me, will you?"

"What is it? Of course I will do it love, I told you that I will do anything for you."

Yo bit his lips as he looked at him, "for me, please don't touch any kind of alcohol from now on."

He breathed a sigh of relief when Pha nodded without hesitation, "I promise, no alcohol for the rest of my life."

Yo smiled and hugged him, he put his head on his chest and listened contently to his heartbeat. They stayed like this for long minutes, absorbing each others essence and relishing their moment together after their long separation which was like an eternity for them.

Yo closed his tired eyes and thought back to whatever happened this weekend. Despite having everything on hand, he was terribly upset and uneasy. He wasn't able to sleep well at nights and he wasn't having his meals properly. He tried everything, he took long refreshing walks, went hiking, he swim in the small lake with crystal clear and ice cold water, he even fish and feed the ducks but still he wasn't content.

Early Sunday morning he packed his bags and instructed his driver to drive him back. Once he arrived home he felt instantly at ease. He hugged his whole family and had a joyful lunch with them, yet still he was empty in his heart. He was laughing and talking animatedly with them but inside he was aching and he knew why. He needed to see Pha.

Excusing himself he left home and went directly to Pha's office. Walking past the security who knows him and let him in without hesitation he went immediately up to Pha's floor. He knocked timidity at first at the closed door but after receiving no response he started knocking more persistently. Thinking that Pha must have gone somewhere he came down rejected.

"What happened nong?" The Watchman asked him.

Yo pouted, "P'Pha is not here."

"Is that so? But I didn't see him leaving since yesterday. Wait let me check." Yo fidgeted impatiently while the Watchman checked his record book. Shaking his head he turned to Yo, "Phana didn't leave and his car is also here. He must be up and don't want any visitors. I heard that he was acting very strange this weekend. Everyone was afraid to approach him."

Yo thanked him and went upstairs again, he had his own suspicious of why Pha was acting weird. After the elevator came on his floor, Yo ran out and went to his door again. Knocking more loudly this time he waited but there was still no response. Trying the door handle he got surprised when it opened. Entering timidity inside he called out, "P'Pha?"

No answer, he walked slowly around his office then went towards his room feeling uneasy, his heart was beating loudly as if he knew he was going to find something he wouldn't like. Opening his bedroom door, he hesitated before entering. Once he got inside he was nearly rendered to his knees at the sight in front of him. Pha was sprawled out in his bed with an empty bottle of whiskey beside him. The room was stinking with alcohol.

He jumped when he heard a groan, sprinting into action he ran to him and saw that Pha was clutching his stomach and grimacing painfully. He was stunned at his appearance, Pha was still in Friday's clothes and he even has a small stubble on his face. His hair was greasy and matte, slick with sweat since Pha was sweating profusely. Suddenly he lunged forward and started vomiting. Frightened Yo cried out, "P'Pha!"

Panicked he looked around and spotted Pha's phone. He unlocked it and dialled the first person he could think of, Doctor Beam.

"P...P'Beam, P'Pha is very sick. He is sweating a lot and vomiting."

"Ok Yo, get a cloth and try to clean him as much as you can. Get him on his side so that he don't choke. Stay with him and call me immediately if his case worsen. I will get someone to be there shortly."

Yo ran to the bathroom and got a bucket. He then hurried back to Pha and placed him on his side with the bucket under him. next, he ran back and wet the first piece of clothing he could find to clean Pha. Looking at his pitiable state he couldn't help crying and he started wailing when Pha's condition got worst.

"What did you do to yourself! Why would you do this? Please don't die...I'm getting so afraid P'Pha, please don't die."

He was getting more and more afraid since Pha wasn't conscious at all, yet he kept throwing up. He was slowly loosing his colour as he turned deadly pale. The bedroom door was knocked back and Forth came in running, "Beam called me. My car is ready outside. Help me take him down."

Forth had to carry Pha all the way down to the underground parking, they had to use the long way and went by another path so that no one catches sight of them. If the news of Pha being rushed to the hospital in his current state got out, the media would have gone berserk. Upon arriving, Pha was escorted directly to the emergency section with Beam in standby. Yo was so shook and worried about what happened that he totally forgot his family. He and Forth stayed all night at the hospital as they stabilise Pha.

Nearing 10 pm his father called, "where are you Yo?

"Dad, I'm in the hospital with P'Pha."

After a long silence his father replied back, "I will come to you. Wait for me."

Just then Beam came out and reassured them that Pha was now safe and that he was sleeping soundly. Yo sat down heavily on his seat as he started crying loudly, he never felt so afraid before. He never expected to see Pha in such a vulnerable position, for him Pha was always strong and bigger than life. His whole body was shaking as he realised that he nearly lost the man of his life. Forth and Beam comforted him at each their turn. They told him to go home but he was adamant to stay by Pha's side. He asked Forth to bring some of Pha's clothes and his toiletries.

Forth agreed and Yo entered his room to check on him. He had to put a hand in front of his mouth to stop his sobs, Pha was looking so pale and fragile. Yo went to him and started taking off his shirt carefully, without waking him up. He sponge bath him and even watched his hair a little. Just when he was about to take off his trousers his father came in, "come out Yo, we need to talk."

He nodded weakly and covered Pha carefully before following after his father. He looked down at his fidgeting fingers as his father looked at him judgmentally.

"Why are you here with him?"

"Because I love him dad."

"But why? He doesn't love you and he is engaged Yo, without saying that he definitely lack something in his mind. You can't stay with him, lets go home. He is safe now, the doctors and nurses will look after him."

Yo took up his courage and looked at his father in the face, "no."

"No?"

"No I won't go home, I want to take care of him dad. He is in this state because of me. I know that he would go crazy without me around but I still disappeared voluntary. Don't force me dad, please."

" Very well, stay here and take care of him. We will have this discussion again."

Yo nodded and hugged his dad in gratitude, "I'm sorry for making you worry dad but I really can't leave him."

His father rubbed his shoulder affectionately, "I understand son, the heart is sometime nearly impossible to negotiate with but with a strong willpower you can do it."

His father went home after buying him some dinner. Yo ate lifelessly as he stared at Pha sleeping. He has cleaned him to his best and dressed him into the clothes that Forth brought.

He slept by his side the whole night holding his hand and caressing his face. He even rubbed body lotion on his body to keep him hydrated. He knew in his heart that Pha would never be truly his. Pha was going to get married soon but this moment Pha was all his therefore Yo did everything he could to make Pha feel comfortable.

Who knew that Pha would leave everything just to be with him, it was as if his prayers has been answered.

"Why are you crying love?" Pha asked him gently as he wiped his tears. Yo blinked as he came back to the present, he looked around and smiled once he realised that he was indeed here with Pha safe and sound.

"It's nothing, I was thinking about yesterday. You gave me the fear of my life P'Pha, I really thought I was going to lose you. Be always with me ok?"

"Sure love, always."

"Tell me this is not what I'm thinking this is." Both turned towards the doorway. Pha's mother was standing there opened mouth as Pha's father stood beside her glaring at them.

Yo quickly got up from the bed as Pha sat up straight and looked squarely back at him in the face. After a short tense silence Pha finally replied.

"Yes father, this is what you're thinking it is."

Author's note:

Dunno why but I found this chapter a bit boring 😐. I tried to spice it up as best as i could so I hope it wasn't a disappointment.
