《Relief》18- The Talk (Part 1)

I woke up to a pair of hazel-green eyes staring at me and a smile that could make me melt for days.
"Good morning, sunshine." Collin hugged me and nuzzled his nose into my neck, making me giggle.
"Good morning." My voice raspy from sleep. I cuddled up closer to him, feeling the electricity radiating off our bodies.
He sighed pleasurably. "I think I can get used to waking up like this."
I laughed. "And to think you were going to sleep on the couch."
"Hey," He lifted his head. "I was trying to be a gentleman." He grinned.
I gave him a peck on the lips. "And you are. The sweetest, sexiest, most adorable gentleman ever." I said, with a bit of exaggeration.
He went on top of me and started to slide his hands up and down my sides. "Did I just hear a bit of sarcasm in your voice?" He said, menacingly.
I laughed. "Noooo. . ." I said, prolonging the o's. "I was just stating the facts." I smiled.
"Bunch of bull." Then he started to tickle me. I couldn't stop laughing or screaming out in mercy.
He stopped his tickling madness and after the laughing dialed down, he broke the silence by saying, "You know you have to go to your mom's house right?"
I sighed and started to play with his hair. "Yeah," I pouted. "I know."
Another moment of silence passed through us. It wasn't awkward. It was peaceful and soothing.
"Well I better hit the shower," Collin said, once again breaking the comfortable silence. "Want to join me?" He asked, wagging his eyebrows, suggestively.
I laughed. "You wish!" I got up and ran to the bathroom. "And not unless I go first." I slammed the door in his face, hearing him groan.

"Where is she? I thought she'd be here by now." Alice said, pacing the room.
"Al, calm down. Maybe she's trying to piece together my return. Give her time. I know I need to." Richard said, sighing, running his hands through his hair.
Alice gave him a sympathetic look, but before she could say anything the front door opened, in coming Terra.
Mother and father both turned their heads to look at her, walking towards them.
Terra stopped in front of her parents in the living room. She looked down and twiddled with her thumbs. Now this silence was awkward.
"So how do--"
"How are--"
Mother and daughter said simultaneously while father was in the background, smiling at the awkward exchange.
Alice gave Terra a sad smile. "You were saying?"
Terra looked up at her mother. "Um, so how do you want to do this thing? Should we just get to it or- I mean I really don't want it to be awkward. And I'm babbling." She laughed, shaking her head.
Alice smiled. 'Definitely her father's daughter.' She said in her head.
'I heard that.' Richard retorted. 'But very true. She's gorgeous, just like her mother.'
"I think that you should let your father and I explain everything. Then any questions you have afterwards, we'll be happy to answer." Alice said. "Let's sit down. It's going to be a long story."
Terra nodded and she made her way to the couch, Richard and Alice following suit.
