《The Bad Boys Exception》Chapter 54

Aiden looks murderous; "what the fuck asshole, drop her even harder why don't you?!" he shouts, getting everyone's attention.
"Chill man it was an accident," Justin yells back defensively. I stand in the middle of the boys frozen.
"A fucking accident?! Maybe I'll accidentally fuck you up," Aiden yells back, I don't even have time to react when Aiden pushes me out of the way and lunges at Justin.
Everyone moves in a blur, Toby falls off Carter harshly as they both grab Aiden and pull him away but Justin still goes for Aiden, attempting to punch him but Blake blocks him. Aiden breaks free from Carter and Toby and punches him hard on the eye.
Aiden gets Justin a few more times before Justin gets one good hit in on Aidens lip. Carter and Toby try their best to pull the boys apart but still being in the water made it alot harder for them.
Finally, Liam, Alex, Cooper, Mason, and James get to us. James, Cooper, and Mason hold back Justin while Toby, Carter, Blake, Liam, and Alex get a good grip on Aiden. Finally, the boys are restrained and I'm still frozen, I continue to stand where Aiden had pushed me with Charlie beside me. Amy finally makes it over to us and pulls my arm, I instinctively allow her to drag me with her, still in shock. Charlie quickly recovers and follows us.
She takes us to a secluded part of the beach behind a tree where a few nerdy girls were sitting. One look from Amy and they grab their stuff and leave the quiet spot.
"What the actual fuck just happened?" Amy asks. I stay silent.
"Justin dropped Em and Aiden lost his shit," Charlie replies for me when she sees I had no intentions to speak.
"Fuck, he needs to control his anger," Amy replies. I subconsciously nod.
Liam suddenly appears and Amy looks at me before pulling Liam out of earshot but still in view.
Liam walks away and Amy approaches Charlie and me, "the boys have taken Aiden back to camp, Mason is cleaning Justin up.
A couple of minutes pass but I eventually break my silence "did I do something for that to start?"
"Not at all babe, it's not your fault that both those boys are hopelessly in love with you," Amy comforts.
I choose to ignore her comment, not wanting to argue and still being in shock.
"Are you okay Em?" Charlie asks.
"I think so?" I question.
"Have you seen your skin?" Charlie questions softly.
I look down at my arm and legs only to see them being bright red, my fall must have been harsher than I thought. To be fair, I hadn't had much time to focus on my skin. Although it was still sore, the color and feeling were quickly fading.
"I'm alright, it's feeling a lot better," I smile, finally fully regaining consciousness, "that was fucking intense," I voice my thoughts.
"You reckon?" Charlie asks sarcastically.
"I feel like I should go see Aiden, he was defending me after all," I admit.
"Yeah, that's probably a good idea," Amy begins, "but you should also speak to -"
Amy gets cut off by an upset and in pain looking Justin, "can we talk Emmy?" He asks vulnerably.
Amy looks down and I register that she was about to tell me to speak to Justin.
"Yeah, sure." I smile at him.
"Well, we'll be.." Charlie begins awkwardly.

"Anywhere but here," Amy finishes confidently. I laugh lightly at her as she grabs Charlie's arm and makes a run for it.
I sit on the tree root and Justin sits right beside me so our arms were touching.

"Are you okay? I'm really sorry for dropping you, it was an accident I swear," Justin begs.
"I know Jus, I forgave you the second it happened, I'm seriously okay." I smile back. Justin smiles at my use of his nickname that I used to call him when we were dating.
Justin stays silent for a second and before I register anything, he leans forwards, and his soft lips touch mine.
I instantly push him gently away and he stares at me like he knew I would do that.
"I'm sorry Justin, I just can't."
"Because of Aiden?" Justin asks quietly and I almost don't hear him.
"What?" I question instinctively.
"You told me that you and Aiden weren't together," Justin begins but I quickly interrupt him; "we're not."
"I know Emmy, I believe you. But should you guys be?" He all but whispers
"What do you mean?" I question.
"Well he obviously likes you, do you feel the same way about him?" Justin once again whispers.
My heart breaks for him. I wasn't sure how to respond to this. He notices.
"It's fine Emmy, you can't help it. I've known for a while I think," Justin replies, his voice breaking, his eyes water a tiny bit and I almost cry right there.
"How did you know?" I find myself questioning, but regret it immediately when I realize that to answer he'll need to re-live everything.
"I think I secretly knew the first time I saw you, your eyes light up the way they did right at the start of our relationship, maybe even more. Then when we were playing never have I ever, you kind of revealed that you gave him a lap dance," Justin begins, I go explain myself but he doesn't let me talk and continues, I listen immediately.
"Then I think you went to tell me yesterday but I purposely didn't let you because hearing that the girl you've been in love with for 3 years is in love with somebody else isn't what you want. Then today I saw you try and keep your distance from him while we snorkeling but I don't think you even notice the way you subconsciously are always in his presence. Back then, when that girl asked if you's were together I could see you get jealous and I think that may have been the final straw. When we were together, you would never get jealous of anything. At one point right at the start I even tried to make you jealous because I wasn't even sure you felt something for me. When you's played chicken, everyone just assumed you's would partner up, and then when they made you swap, I could tell you were disappointed. Obviously, there's also the fact that Aiden beat the shit out of me because I accidentally hurt you."
"I'm really sorry Justin," I manage, tears in my eyes.
Justin smiles sadly at me; "because your boyfriend beat me up or because you don't feel the same about me as I do you?"
I try my best to hold back my tears. Justin notices but he doesn't make a move to comfort me and it's this action that makes me realize he was upset, not only at the situation but at me too. He had every right to be, he was a good man, one of the sweetest guys ever but instead of loving him, I fell in love with the bad boy. I guess it's true what they say; nice guys do finish last.

"I think I should go," I whisper through my tears, Justin doesn't say anything and I take this as my cue to leave. He doesn't call me back.
The tears fall freely as I walk to where I see Amy and Charlie. As soon as they see me they rush over to me and I'm pulled into a big hug. Thankfully they don't ask questions and we begin walking back silently to campsite 1 where all the guys were.
By the time I've gotten to the site, I've recovered enough that I was no longer crying. I was almost certain that you could tell I had been crying but I guess you can't have everything.
The boys see us approaching and instantly stop talking. They were all sitting on chairs around a small fire that one of the boys must have lit against camp rules.
Aiden walks over to me instantly and the others follow him, as soon as he sees me he looks at me strangely; "are you okay Em?"
And that's all it takes for tears to once again gather in my eyes. Agh, I hate how you can just recover, and then someone asks a simple question like that, and suddenly it's waterworks again.
Charlie makes a move to comfort me but before she gets the chance, Aiden steps in front of her and pulls me into a tight hug. As much as I loved Charlie's hugs, there was just something different with Aiden's hugs.
Eventually, I pull away from him and see everyone looking at me expectantly, obviously waiting for me to tell them why I had been crying.
"I don't think I'm friends with Justin anymore," I admit, not telling them the long version, tears threaten to gather in my eyes but I push them away.
"The fucker, where is he?" Aiden asks again, his alpha male ego getting the best of him.
"Aiden don't," I plead.
"No, Mills if he's just broken off your friendship because he got into a punch up then he deserves an awakening," Toby interjects and it was the second time I had ever heard Toby angry, the first one at the tracks.
"There's more," I admit carefully.
"Like what?" Blake asks expectantly.
"Um," I trail off, thankfully Carter gets the message that I couldn't speak about it and interrupts my mumbling; "that's okay Em, you can tell us when you're ready if you ever are."
I smile gratefully at him and I can see Aiden wanting to question it further, Alex also sees this and registers that I didn't want to talk about it; "game of ball anyone?" He asks.
Everyone agrees but Aiden looks at me with a mischievous smirk on his face; "come with me, Collins."
I follow him like the lovesick puppy I am and don't even register that it was almost dark.
When we get further away from the group I realize that he probably only wanted to get answers so I stop, grabbing his arm to stop him as well. He looks at me questionably.
"Aiden please don't ask anything else about Justin and me, I can't tell you," I plead.
Aiden smiles at me; "that's not why I brought you here."
I smile at him in gratitude and allow him to drag me further into the dark. It seemed that Aiden always brought me into the dark, metaphorically speaking of course, but just like right now, I could never figure out why I felt safer in the dark with him than I did in the light with anybody else.
We come across a little metal shed on the far side of the island placed on the beach and my curiosity instantly peaks.
"What are we doing?" I ask curiously, already knowing I would do whatever he had planned because I was so pathetic.
"I came across this shed when the boys brought me back to the site and I got curious so I picked the lock to look inside," Aiden grins. I laugh at him as he finds a thin stick and manipulates it so it will fit into the lock. I look at him in wonder, is it bad that watching him pick a lock made him even hotter to me?
When he opens the shed I instantly look inside, there were 3 jetskis all on separate trailers. Excitement instantly fills my body, what was he planning?!
He grins at me mischievously and I watch in awe as he pulls a trailer out and drags it half into the ocean. I follow him, still watching in awe as he pulls the jetski off the trailer and into the ocean.
He discards his shirt on the trailer so it wouldn't get carried away and looks at me expectantly; "you coming?"
I nod absentmindedly, undeniably excited as I take off my dress that I had somehow put on after the fight. There were wet patches where my bikini top sat as well as around my bikini bottoms.
Aiden climbs on the jetski and helps me climb on behind him. "Do you even know how to drive this thing?" I laugh.
"Nope, but how different can it be to a motorbike?" Aiden grins, and then we're off. I squeal, clinging to his bare waist when he suddenly starts. I feel him shake with laughter from in front of me and I roll my eyes, but of course, I find myself joining in.
Adrenaline rushes through my body at our speed and I lift my arms up, whooping with joy. I can almost feel Aiden's smirk.
The adrenaline gets better as we go faster and I continue to cheer. This was amazing. The wind blew through my hair that was damp but drying quickly because of the wind. The sun was setting, leaving an orange glow on the never-ending ocean. The sunset had left the reef looking as though it should be a famous picture in an extravagant art gallery, this was hands down one of the best experiences of my life. I see all the fish diving away from us when we near, the clear water almost looks like a diamond, but I would prefer this over a diamond any day.
Aiden slows down and turns around to look at me, "wanna drive?" He asks.
My grin widens, "yes!! how do I do it?"
Somehow Aiden maneuvers us so I was in front of him and he begins to explain how it works, I listen as best I can but the beautifulness of the situation makes it very hard for me.
Aiden quickly catches on to the fact I was in too much awe to listen and chuckles. He pushes me closer to the handles and pushes his back right against mine, I can literally feel every single one of his abs pushed up against my bareback. He puts his arms over mine and I feel his hand cover mine on the handles, his every touch warms my skin. He tells me where to put my foot and changes the gear on the handle.
This time I find it hard to concentrate for a completely different reason than the picture-like view.
Suddenly we're off once again, the adrenaline once again shadows my body and I push to go faster, Aiden whoops from behind, lifting one of his hands off mine to punch the air. I laugh at him.
I quickly get the hang of it and go to tell Aiden that he can let go of me now but then I remember that he was completely pushed against me and I wanted to keep it that way for a little longer. He stays that way for a little longer but eventually lets go of me and moves back a little bit, he was still against me but not to the point where I could literally feel each individual ab.
I drive for a few more minutes laughing as Aiden cheers and watching where we are going, unfortunately, driving made me focus less on the beautiful surroundings but I was still having one of the best times of my life. Suddenly Aiden nudges me and whispers, "Collins, stop." I instantly stop, worry filling my insides.
"Accelerate really slowly," I do as I'm told and allow Aiden to push right up against me again so he can steer. Then I see it, a fin sticking out of the water.
Instantly I freak out, was that a shark?! Why the fuck had he made us go closer to it?!
I pay a little more attention and then see more fins, not sharks; dolphins.
I gasp in awe as I watch the dolphins playing among the beautiful coral. They swim over to us until they were right beside the jet ski. I stare in amazement, I had never been this close to dolphins.
Aiden grins at my awed expression before he simply slides into the ocean, he was literally swimming in the middle of a pod of dolphins. I watch him, is there a word more powerful than awe? If there is, times it by a hundred, and that's almost how I felt.
"Come on," Aiden grins as he touches a dolphin's skin, it makes that laughing sound and I'm once again lost for words.
Slowly I slide into the water and instantly feel a dolphin rub on my leg before it comes to the surface. I almost scream when I feel it but then realize what was happening. I touch the dolphin's skin and its long nose. This was the most amazing thing in the world, I owed Aiden everything for this.
This would be the story I would tell my grandchildren, I would never forget today.
Aiden grins as he swims a little further away from the jetski, luckily it was just before dark so I could still see the bottom of the ocean and all the dolphins surrounding us, there had to be about 10. I decide to go further away from the jetski as well and go to Aiden. The dolphins instantly surround us and instinctively, I go closer to Aiden until we can't get closer. A dolphin jumps into the air and lands in front of us, lightly splashing us both.
I had never even heard of anyone experiencing something like this and I was eternally grateful.
Thank you, Aiden.
