《The Bad Boys Exception》Chapter 37

We pull up to Ryan's house, which was more of a mansion really. We get out of the car and walk towards the entrance, everyone turns to look at us and for once I enjoy the attention, tonight was about forgetting. I make sure to ignore all the red cups littering the driveway and the couples making out, this party was obviously already in full swing.

If I thought the attention was bad outside, it was nothing compared to what we got inside. It seemed as though the whole party watched us walk by and the familiar uncomfortable feeling from all the attention returned. I see Jordan and smile at him, knowing that he wasn't looking at me the same way all the other guys seemed to, instead his attention was on Dale.

"Hi babes," Jordan smiles appreciatively at Charlie and I. "Hi hot friend," he smirks at Dale. Dale says nothing and I know it's because he was trying to keep his cover.

"Hey Jordan," I laugh, Charlie hugs him.

"How you feeling sexy?" Jordan asks me, obviously referring to getting Charlie when I was upset.

"Better, thank you for getting Charlie." I smile.

"I wouldn't have even known if Aiden didn't ask me to get her, well more like demand aggressively," Jordan replies shrugging. My heart stops.

Aiden made him get Charlie? I look at Charlie and see the same confused expression on her face that I was sure was on mine, why would he make me upset and then get someone to cheer me up. Dale smirked and I had no idea why, but I didn't get time to ask because Charlie spoke; "Aiden made you get me?"

"Yeah, I was with Lindsay who's my best friend and he stormed over to us. I thought maybe he was mad at Lindsay or something because they've slept together on multiple occasions but she looked just as shocked I was. Apparently Aiden isn't really one to speak during his hookups." He began, I realized he was a little drunk but he seemed okay, "Anyways, he came and demanded I got Charlie because Em was crying in the classroom, I didn't know you's even fought until I heard about it. The whole school is buzzing about your fight, apparently shit went down. I don't really get why Aiden made me get Charlie if the reason you were upset was because of him, but Aiden doesn't seem like the type to talk to people like me generally," Jordan finishes.

Charlie looks shocked, I'm sure my expression matches hers, but Dale looked at ease. Before we can say anything more, Jordan grabs Charlie and drags her to the dance floor, giving me a quick hug.

"He's kind of hot," Dale whispers in my ear, I laugh at him.

"Go and talk to him," I suggest.

"I'm not really into the stereotypical gay guy. I'm usually the gayest one in the relationship," Dale winks. I laugh again.

Before I can reply I see Ryan approaching me.

"Hey Em, you look great," Ryan smiles, putting his hand on my lower back. The action makes me a little uncomfortable, but not too bad.

"Thanks, you too," I smile.

"Em, I'm getting us drinks. I'll be back," Dale smiles innocently, but as soon as he's out of Ryans's eye view he makes suggestive actions with his hands and mouths some words that I probably don't want to understand. I blush the familiar red at my best friend and Ryan notices; "you okay?" He asks.

"Yep," I laugh, throwing invisible death glares at Dale's smirking, retreating form.

"That guy you were just with, are you guys dating?" Ryan asks innocently.

I was about to lie, hoping it would stop him from trying but I decide against it, I was here to have fun.

"No, we're just friends." I smile.

"Great, I think there are some idiots trying to break into my parent's room that I locked but I'll come find you later?" Ryan enthuses, I nod, Ryan beams and walks away.

I walk into the direction of where Dale headed but instead see Aiden talking to a couple of girls who were wearing clothes as reveling as I was. Our eyes lock and for a second he looks guilty but he quickly covers it up with a smirk, the same nasty and sadistic one as he gave me earlier.

Rolling my eyes I see Dale heading towards me with two red cups of what I assume to be alcohol. He hands me one and takes a sip of his, I quickly down the liquid in my cup and then reach for his and down the content in that cup as well.

"Woah tiger, what happened to you?" Dale smirks.

"Saw Aiden, he was with some girls," I reply rolling my eyes.

Dale gives me an understanding look, then smirks and drags me to back in the direction he came from.

I hand him my cups and he fills one up with beer, the other with soda.

"If you're planning on getting as drunk as I hope you are then I better not drink at all so I can keep an eye on you," he smirks, passing me the cup with the alcohol in it.

I down all the content again and Dale looks impressed. After a little bit more, I start feeling a little tipsy, and a hell of a lot more confident.

"Dance with me," I enthuse, grabbing Dale's arm and dragging him to the dance floor, a familiar song begins and Dale and I cheer excitedly. I take more sips of my now vodka, and sway my hips with Dale as "This Is What You Came For" plays.

Dale and I dance excitedly, I see Charlie come over here when Jason sees Lindsay and she also begins dancing with us. Charlie was a professional dancer and I knew all the attention was on her, but I was feeling confident thanks to the alcohol in my system and started mimicking her moves. I notice a lot of eyes on the 3 of us and lavish the attention.

Man I should get drunk more often. I spot Luke watching us with his football friends and the song ends soon after.

I point Luke out to Charlie who smiles, she was also obviously tipsy. Probably not as much as me, but still being affected by the alcohol. A new song starts to play and I yell excitedly, people begin to pair up and I point at a smiling Dale.

🎵🎤🎶

Charlie makes her way to Luke, probably to get him to dance as Dale and I dance together in what would probably look like a very sexual way. "Please Don't Stop The Music" has everyone dancing and laughing and I feel genuinely happy.

'Do you know what you started? I just came here to party

But now we're rockin' on the dance floor, actin' naughty

Your hands around my waist just let the music play

We're hand in hand, chest to chest, and now we're face to face'

I laugh happily as Dale makes exaggerated movements that match the song lyrics. Although Dale hasn't drank anything, it's obvious how much fun we're both having.

We continue dancing together in what would seem like a sexual way when the song ends. Laughing, I drag Dale back to the bar to get another drink. Charlie and Luke join, Luke being the sweet guy he is and watching over Charlie while she drinks as much as I do. Why don't I drink more often, it's so much fun!!

"Hey Em, we're playing truth or dare you guys should join," I hear from behind me as a hand touches my lower back. I look back to see Ryan. Giggling I agree, dragging Dale and Charlie with me whilst Luke laughs at my enthusiasm.

I see Tiffany already there with an annoyed expression directed at me on her beautiful face. She was wearing a short, sparkly red dress that was about the same length as mine with her cleavage showing, she looked as good as always, and I momentarily find myself a little envious at her obvious beauty, even if a lot of it was done up.

We sit down in a circle, Dale on my left side and Ryan on my right. Aiden walks in followed by Toby, Blake, and Carter. Aiden smirks at me and sits down directly across from me.

Even drunk my heart flutters at the simple action and I have to remind myself that he was an ass and I was still angry at him for cutting me off and saying he only hang around me for one reason.

I roll my eyes at him in response, and he just continues smirking. Why does he have to be so hot?!

The game starts with Ryan who spins the empty vodka bottle and it lands on one of Tiffany's minions from the cheer team, she chooses truth then looks at Ryan expectantly waiting for a question.

"How old were you when you lost your virginity?" he asks.

"14," the minion shrugs carelessly, the guys holler and she smirks at the attention before swinging the bottle herself. It lands on Dale, he chooses truth.

"Hottest girl here?" The minion asks, pushing her breasts together. I giggled at how obvious she was being. I don't blame her though because Dale was hot.

Dale smirks mischievously and looks at Aiden quickly before looking at me; "Em."

The girl looks genuinely disappointed and Tiffany rolls her eyes, I giggle at her.

I wonder what it's like being so mean? Why did she get graced with such good looks when she was so mean?!

I throw my arms dramatically over Dale at his answer. Why can't everyone be like him? Does he know how much I appreciate him? Maybe I should tell him.

"I love you Dale!!" I say enthusiastically while my arms wrap around his neck.

"Babe, you are so drunk." Dale laughs, hugging me back.

Drunk is such a weird word, bet you can't say it 100 times straight.

Everyone but Aiden, Luke and Tiffany laugh at the encounter. Toby even hollers.

Dale swings the bottle and it lands on a really innocent and shy looking girl, to be frank, I was surprised she was even playing.

"Um, truth." She all but whispers.

Dale smiles at her reassuringly, obviously taking pity on her; "what was the last text you sent or received on your phone?"

She looks thankful and checks her phone; "It was from my older brother saying 'be safe, love you.'"

Dale smiles encouragingly and she makes a move to quickly spin the bottle and get the attention off of her. It lands on Charlie.

"Truth." Charlie says quickly.

"Um, who would make the cutest couple in the group?" The shy girl rushes out.

Charlie smirks in a way that seems like she has a plan and looks at me, "Em and Dale."

Everyone but Aiden cheers, including Dale and I. I don't know why Aiden looked so annoyed and maybe if I wasn't so drunk, I'd care more.

After everyone cheers, Charlie spins the bottle and it lands on Toby.

"Dare," Toby cheers excitedly.

Charlie thinks for a minute and then grins cheekily, "give everyone a striptease."

Toby smirks, obviously loving his dare and waits a couple of seconds for the new song to play, coincidently "cookie" plays by R.Kelly.

We all cheer at the song and Toby stands in the middle of the circle.

He rises and does some sort of attempt at being sexy. It's obvious even in my drunk state that Toby is purposely making fun of the dare and it just makes me laugh even more.

He takes his shirt off and spins it around his head before throwing it at one of the more innocent girls taking part in truth or dare. Toby was surprisingly muscly, he was lanky but you could see how much muscle he really did have.

Once the song ends, Toby was left in just his boxers and as expected, he had attracted a crowd. Everyone cheers him on as his clothes get thrown back to him. I notice even Aiden laughing.

Toby spins the bottle and unfortunately, it lands on Harry. If I wasn't so drunk I might be more worried, but confidence was surging through my body. Everything was funny, and I felt more confident than I had in years.

"Dare," he smirks, glancing at me quickly.

Toby looks at Harry and then at me and a look of recognition crosses his face before he covers it up with his familair cheeky smile.

"I dare you to wax your armpits," Toby smirks. Harry looks disappointed for some reason and Aiden smirks beside Toby.

"Fine," Harry replies in an obvious attempt of confidence.

Ryan hollers and disappears, probably to get some wax. He returns really quickly and I wonder how he got it so fast. He passes it to Toby who has a mischievous glint in his eye.

Harry takes of his shirt and raises his arm, Toby spreads the wax before he adds the strips.

He removes them faster than probably nesessary and Harry swears loudly in pain.

Everyone in the circle laughs, including me.

He does it one more time to the same arm before Harry gives in; "FUCK FINE STOP," he yells with a painful look.

Everyone laughs again, but this time at his armpit which is now very uneven and presumably even more uneven to his other side.

With a sulky look, he spins the bottle, but this time it lands on me.

The cocky look returns to Harry's face, but I can't find it within myself to worry.

"Dare," I grin confidently, the alcohol truly showing it's full effect.

The majority of the circle looks surprised and to be honest, I can't blame them. It was fully the alcohol talking when I chose dare.

A huge smirk sits on Harry's face; "I dare you to give a lap dance to the hottest guy in the circle."

The guys smirk and the girls look nervous for me, but I don't care. I was confident.

"Babe, you don't have to." Dale quickly reassures, Charlie and Luke nodding in agreement.

Ignoring them I stand up, and walk over to Aiden who is smirking. I look back at Dale and Charlie and notice they both look nervous. An unfamiliar emotion washes over Luke's face but he smiles at me when we get eye contact very briefly.

Aiden only wanted me for sex? Fine. That's what he'll get.

The song changes again as I stand up and "Strip That Down" by Liam Payne plays.

I move my body however feels right, hoping I was doing it properly but having no idea, confidence ozing from me but still being very aware how much I'd regret this in the morning.

I notice Toby recording it and another confidence boost washes through me. I wanna give him a show.

Harry also goes to record it but I see Dale stop him from the corner of my eye, I'd have to thank him for that later when I cared again.

I continue moving my body and everyone cheers around me, including people that I had attracted. Obviously I was doing something right.

I don't even recognize what I'm doing until I feel Dale pull me away. The cheers get impossibly louder and I sit back down feeling even more confident, maybe even smug. Tiffany looks ready to kill but I just smile at her, feeling overwhelmingly cheerful.

I spin the bottle still feeling rather smug, and it lands on Ryan.

"Dare." He replies smiling at me.

"I dare you to make out with the girl you would most likely to take on a date," I say. I expect him to go to Tiffany or something but instead, he walks over to me.

Just before Ryan kisses me, I notice Aiden standing up and walking away followed by a smirking Toby, and a confused Carter and Blake. I was just as confused.

Our lips meet, the kiss feels sloppy but I was sure in my state, my kiss was worse. Before Ryan can deepen anything, I feel Dale pull me away, the smirk on his face.

"I think that's game over for us," he smirks, pulling me away and ignoring my protests. Luke and Charlie follow, Charlie looking as smug as Dale, and Luke having the same unfamiliar emotion in his eyes.

By now, Charlie was almost as drunk as me and we had been here for a good few hours. Another familiar song plays and I hear Charlie shriek excitedly, pulling Dale towards the dance floor.

"Stay with Luke," Dale shouts at me as Charlie continues to drag him to dance.

"Lukas!!!" I shriek, throwing my arms over his shoulders.

"What's happening Emilia?" Luke smiles.

"I want another drink, do you want another drink?" I ask excitedly, going to go towards the kitchen but being pulled back.

"I think you've had enough Emilia, I think we should sit outside so you can get some fresh air and sober up," Luke replies chuckling.

I pout, but follow my best friend outside. I almost trip in my heels because of my drunk state but familiar hands once again wrap around my waist to catch me.

"Aiden?" I question.
