《The Bad Boys Exception》Chapter 19

"So what you do wanna do?" I ask Aiden. He had put down my album and now I was wondering what to do. Usually, I'd just read or watch The Vampire Diaries or something but I doubted Aiden wanted to do that.
"There's a lot of things I want to do to you Collins," Aiden smirks mischievously, and it didn't take a genius to figure out exactly what he meant by his dirty-minded words.
"Like paint my nails and do my hair, that does sound like a good idea Black," I reply, also smirking. I knew I was blushing from his comment but I figured that if I put up a confident front, maybe he'd look past my red face.
"That depends, can we do it naked?" He smirks, enjoying my confidence.
"Yeah I'm done, let's watch a movie and order pizza?" I reply rolling my eyes, well I tried.
Aiden just smirks at pushes past me to walk downstairs.
Agh this boy.
I roll my eyes and follow him IN MY HOUSE, while he goes through my fridge.
Sure, make yourself at home asshole.
"Do you want some orange juice?" Aiden asks as he goes through all my cupboards looking for cups while I watch him in shock.
"Um, no thanks?" I reply questionably as he finally finds the cups and pours himself a drink.
"You shouldn't stare princess, it's rude" Aiden smirks, looking at my open-mouthed face.
I close my mouth and glare at him before I walk to the living room and plonk onto the 3 seater couch so I can lie down.
Aiden comes in a minute later and grabs the remote before sitting on the other couch and going through all the channels again.
"There's nothing on!!" He complains.
"Let's watch a movie then?" I suggest for the second time.
"Shotgun choosing" Aiden quickly says childishly before he goes through the TV cabinet to find a movie.
He's literally a child in a teenager's body!!!
An extremely hot teenager.
No like really fucking hot.
Really really really fucking hot.
Okay, I'm done.
But the dudes hot...
"Perfect!!" Aiden grins mischievously as he puts a disk in the DVD player.
"What did you choose?" I ask cautiously, his smirking really didn't help!!!
"Wow Collins, is your trust in me really that little, you hurt me" he grins.
"Whatever, I'm ordering pizza, pepperoni okay?" I sigh eventually, he obviously wasn't going to tell me and if the movie he chose was really that bad I'd just go to my room and watch youtube, leave the bad boy to watch his movies.
"That's it Collins, I'm confessing my love for you, pepperoni? I always knew we belonged together," Aiden grins as he plonks down beside me and throws his arm casually over my shoulder.
"Did I say pepperoni? I meant vegetarian," I smirk, pushing his arm off of me, I used to be vegetarian, so did Maddi but when she died I couldn't do it anymore because it was always something we had shared.
"I'm getting a divorce," Aiden declares as he sinks further into the couch.
I laugh at his antics and call the pizza place, they were really busy tonight so they notified me that the pizza might take a little longer, but I assured the poor girl it was fine, even though Aiden was sulking in the background.
Mature. I know.
I sit back down beside Aiden once I get off the phone to the stressed sounding girl before he smirks again and presses start on the remote.

I wait patiently for the movie to reveal itself and almost choke Aiden when 'The Exorcist' comes on. There were 2 movie genres that I could not stand, one more than the other and those genres were, in fact, horror/thriller and romance.
When we were only young Miles convinced us to watch a scary movie with him, needless to say, I had nightmares for so long that my PTSD had never allowed me to watch one since. Romance was also never my favorite but I would watch them for Lij's and Maddi's sake, Elijah loved them even more than Maddi did, that was their thing. Yet another thing I wasn't able to do without my sister.
Fuck I'm pathetic, everything made me think of her and I couldn't stand it, I thought of her enough as it was. Why couldn't I be as tough as Aiden, or so easily forget about everything like my biological father found it so incredibly easy to?
"Em, are you okay?" Aiden nudges me with his elbow, I shake my head to clear my thoughts and only then realize the tear that had silently fallen.
"What? Yeah, you worrying about me Black?" I tease trying to change the subject, I didn't like anyone seeing me vulnerable, especially the renowned, notorious bad boy.
Aiden obviously takes the distraction because he smirks and winks, while throwing me an 'always babe.'
***
We had been watching the movie for just under an hour and to say I wasn't going to be able to sleep tonight would be a huge understatement. As scared as I was, it gives me great pleasure to mention Aiden was also scared. Not as much as me, but enough to make the situation all the lighter.
I can feel myself tremble slightly as I once again hide under my blanket, I'm just about to demand we watch another movie, hopefully, something Disney when the doorbell rings making me scream and not so gracefully land on half of Aiden's lap.
Awkward.
"You right there Collins?" Aiden smirks once he calms down, he would never admit it but I saw him jump as well when the doorbell rang.
"It's him, he's gonna kill us!!!" I yell dramatically, not yet moving.
"Or it's just our pizza," Aiden smirks standing up once I reluctantly climb off him.
I follow him closely, not wanting to be alone as Aiden hesitantly opens the door. I feel him sigh in relief when he sees it was just the pizza guy. I had grabbed on to his arm, not trusting him to not leave me alone but slowly release him and stand beside him to pay for the pizza.
Before I can pay, Aiden is already paying but before I can say anything to reject him paying the young boy looks at me and smiles, he looked to be the same age as us, maybe a tiny bit younger.
"Wow you're so beautiful" the boy smiles innocently, making me blush.
"Um, thanks?" I laugh awkwardly.
"Sorry, that just kind of came out," the boy blushes scratching the back of his neck as his face turns even redder than my own.
Now I know what Aiden sees every time he makes me blush.
"That's okay," I laugh as Nala stands beside me and growls lightly at the poor boy who looks a little frightened of my fluffy dog that wouldn't hurt a thing. She was all bark and no bite, literally.
"Hey is that your boyfriend, or would it be okay if I asked you out next weekend?" The boy continues to blush.

I'm about to reject him as politely as possible when I feel a very attractive arm snake around my waist.
"Do you go around delivering pizza's and hit on all beautiful girls that have boyfriends?" Aiden demands.
"Um, n-no, so-sorry man, I di-didn't realize that she was with you," the boy blushes, not catching my eye and quickly rushing away back to his car in embarrassment. Awe poor guy.
I try to ignore the evident crimson covering my cheeks and turn to glare at the bad boy who just played the part of the jealous boyfriend.
I don't even know why I was blushing.
Lie.
He called me beautiful.
"What? I did you a favor" Aiden shrugs innocently.
"What if I wanted to go out with him?" I argue, the blush vanishing.
"Well did you?" Aiden counters, the damn smirk still on his face.
"No," I reply instantly before quickly recovering, "I mean-"
"You're welcome," Aiden cuts me off smirking, pushing past me and making his way to the kitchen.
"Okay maybe I was going to reject him, but I was capable of doing that myself plus you embarrassed the poor kid, he was sweet." I pout, following him like a lost puppy.
"Good, I'm glad I embarrassed him, now maybe he won't go around hitting on any pretty girl he sees, and besides, even Nala didn't like him." Aiden shrugs and the blush once again covers my entire face with the indirect compliment.
I roll my eyes but choose to leave it, choose your battles I guess.
Aiden passes me the plates and cups while he grabs the pizza and juice. We automatically make our way back to the living room where the movie is paused.
Aiden plays the movie as we eat silently, me continuing to hide under the blankets every few seconds.
After we finish the pizza I find myself pressed against Aiden's side, how we ate a whole pizza ourselves I'll never know but Aiden eats a hell of a lot.
I try and hide further into Aiden's side when another scary scene comes on, I made sure I was touching Aiden at all times, I was way too scared to be alone and I think Aiden felt the same by the way he pressed himself against my side as well.
Another scary scene plays, the worst one yet and I scream in fright before standing up, storming to the television and turning off the button. I cross my arms and glare at a frowning Aiden.
"No fucking way, I am not watching any more of this" I seethe, Aiden smirks a little and goes to reply but the banging coming from outside interrupts whatever he was going to say.
Aiden and I look at each other in panic before we hear an even louder sound. I scream and run back to Aiden who stands up so I can hide behind him. He looks at me, the same terrifying look so clearly in his eyes.
"Go check it out" I whisper, he looks at me in fright.
"No you go, it's your house!!" Aiden whispers back.
"You're the tough, street racing bad boy, you said yourself that I'm just a good girl!!" I whisper back in just as much panic.
The noises get louder.
Aiden glares at me but slowly walks to the door which was near where the sound was coming from. I stay right behind him, gripping onto his arm tightly. Nala didn't seem too bothered by the noise as she looked up and then quickly lays back down so she could continue to sleep soundly on the other couch.
I quickly grab Lij's baseball bat from the living room and pass it to Aiden. Right about now I was extremely glad that Elijah hadn't listened to mom earlier today when she asked him to put it back in his room where it belongs.
Slowly Aiden opens the door and raises the bat, with me still gripping onto Aiden when a familiar face comes in to view making both Aiden and I sigh with relief.
There stood an extremely drunk Luke attempting to open the window from the outside which he had locked last time he was here.
"Luke!!" I yell in frustration, when he sees me his eyes light up.
"Emilia, I missed you." Luke giggles as he hugs me, he reeks of bourbon, the same one that Miles so commonly smells of.
"Luke, what are you doing here?" I ask as I climb out of his sloppy grip.
"I just came to tell you I love you and explain to you why we should be together and get married" Luke grins stumbling back over to me.
I look at Aiden in panic as I catch Luke from falling and he just shrugs, looking as panicked as I do.
Luke attempts to stand back up as Aiden closes the door behind him.
"Emilia, you're the most beautiful girl in the world and I love you, we would be so, so perfect together. I know all about you and you know me and we should be together forever like Miles and Maddi should have been."
I ignore the tightening of my chest at her mention as well as the panic that Aiden was listening to everything that was being said.
"Luke stop, you're drunk. You're also my best friend." I try hopelessly, grabbing on to his arms to support him.
"Friend? Is that it? Is that all I am to you? Is it because of him?" Luke demands pointing to a very panicked Aiden.
"No Luke, you're everything to me but-" I begin but get cut off by a begging Luke.
"But what? You don't love me? Do you love someone else? We're meant to be together, ask anyone, everyone knows how perfect we are. I love you Emilia, just, just give me a chance and I'll prove it to you." Luke begs.
"I do love you Luke, but not in the same way you love me." I also beg desperately, trying to make this end.
"But, but. I know you love me. Maddi, your sister, and Miles, my brother were going to get married and me and you, me and you were going to get married with them. You're in love me, I-I know you are, just like I'm in love with you." Luke continues, coming closer to my face and invading my senses even further with the sour smell of his breath.
"That was a long time ago Luke, Maddi and Miles were always going to be together but you and I were never meant to. We said we would as children, and if everything was different then maybe we would have but it isn't and I-I'm not in love with you Luke" I beg.
Luke looks incredibly hurt and a tear falls out of my eye at my best friends sadness as well as the whole situation.
"What, so i-if Maddi didn't die, we would be together? But Emilia, she di-did die but that doe-doesn't change h-how you feel about me, h-how I know you d-do." Luke begs, longing so evident in his beautiful blue eyes that I loved so much.
I did love Luke, more than anything but I wasn't in love with him.
"I don't know Luke, maybe, I, I'll never be able to give y-you an honest answer because I don't know. Maddi did die Luke, and that changed so many things but I honestly don't think it changed the way I feel towards you. You're right Luke, I love you so so much, more than anything, you have literally kept me alive but I can't lie to you and give you the response you want. I'm not in love with you, and even though we'll never know, I don't think I was ever going to be." I beg, tears falling freely down my face. I see the hope on his face when I say I love him which makes the fall once I tell him I'm not in love with him so much worse.
Luke looks broken, 17 years of friendship and I had never seen him look like this, not even when my sister and one of his best friends died.
Luke recovers and a new determination is on his face, "You are in love with me, an-and I can prove it."
Before I can register what is happening Luke pushes his lips onto mine, I push him away but he doesn't budge. I don't kiss back but I can still feel the desperation and longing clearly in his kiss.
I continue pushing but nothing happens until Aiden decides to resurrect himself and I feel Luke get pulled away roughly from me. Aiden pulls him away hard enough that he stumbles and lands sitting upright on the floor but Luke doesn't move, he doesn't even look at me.
