Jaden knocked on my door my heart started to race. I came out of the bathroom making my way to the door yelling, "coming." When I opened the door he was standing there holding a chocolate milkshake.
"Here I got this for you since you didn't come to dinner with us I missed you." He said blushing while handing me the shake. I took the milkshake smiled and thanked him with a kiss. I'm not going to lie we made out for awhile but since we weren't dating I didn't want to get too crazy. I broke away from the kiss then said, "hey want to watch a scary movie with me."
"Sure what do you have in mind" he said.
"Well I never watched a quiet place I heard it's pretty good." I said while wrapping my arms around his neck.
"Alright then" he said scooping me up and throwing me on the bed. I started laughing we got all snuggled up and started to watch the movie.
*3 hours later*
"Hey" I yelled when I opened my eyes to avani throwing pillows at me and Jaden. Jaden quickly woke up and sat up in confusion.
"Sorry love birds but we have to be at the venue at 7 a.m and it is currently 12 a.m and we're all so tired." Me and Jaden said goodbye with a simple hug. Whenever he left the girls kept asking me questions about us and I told them we weren't dating but I definitely had feelings for him and I hoped he felt the same.
*morning time*
I got up at around 5 and got ready this is what I wore.
We all got on the bus around 6:30 and made our way to the venue. It was time for the meet and greet of course I got a lot of questions about me and Jaden again but I said we were just friends. After we went on stage it was time to go back to the hotel. I was super tired and I decided not to go out to eat with everyone and go take a nap.

Brynn was too tired to go out to eat so I brought her dinner back. I asked her if she wanted to go night Swimming with the boys, Avani, Madi, and Riley because we were leaving tomorrow morning and this hotel had a really nice pool. She said yes she just had to go put her bathing suit on. I was already in my trunks so I sat on her bed and waited for her. My jaw dropped when she came out wearing this.
"Eyes up" she said coming over to me.
"Oh uhh sorry" I said snapping my self out of it. I was practically staring at her from top to bottom. She just looked so good.
"You coming Hossler" she said grabbing her phone and a towel. I said yeah and quickly got up and followed her out to the pool. Everyone was already out there and I noticed all the guys basically drooling over Brynn which did make me jealous. At the same time though who couldn't stare she was so perfect.
Josh pov
Brynn came out to the pool and dang she was looking good. I was already falling for her and then she showed up in her bikini showing off her perfect figure. I knew every boy was staring. But man Jaden was lucky we all knew they had something going on. But they never said anything was official so I wasn't backing down without a fight. So I said "Hey Brynn come play chicken you can get on my shoulders."
"Okay sure," she said making her way into the water. She got on my shoulders and Avani got on Anthony's and we started. Brynn and me beat Anthony which I had no doubt.
Brynn pov
Jaden walked me back to my room after the pool. I felt bad because we didn't talk that much. I mainly hung out with Josh, Anthony, and Avani but I spent all night with him last night. I gave him a kiss goodnight which made him smile. "Goodnight Hossler see you bright and early" I whispered into his ear.

"Goodnight Moormeier" he said pulling my waist towards him for one more kiss. I went in my room got a shower to get the chlorine out and changed I to some pjs. I decided to post on Instagram because we took some pics done at the pool.

The Fate of a villain (But not really)
But to be honest, he doesn't really want to be one. Assigned that role by a bored god looking for entertainment, he struggles with the past. Seriously, how much of an asshole could a dead man have been? As an imposter, the new soul possessing the body of a certain Francis Rayleigh, he tries his best to change that past image of his. Its not all simple though. Just because of his pretty face, it doesn't mean that life bows down to him. And to top it all off, a god, no matter how bored they were, is still by most definitions a god. Ultimately, on the grand stage of the world, will the fate forced upon him prevail? Without burning any villages, and trying to be as peaceful as possible, he hopes to avoid those hands of fate. No evil empires dancing on his palm, no conspiracy to rid the world of intelligent life. Not even a superweapon to turn the world's lives into his slaves. Just a man, found on the weaker side of life, trying to live. ------------------------------------------------------------------------ NOTE: CONTAINS CROSSDRESSING, LGBT ELEMENTS It starts off really slowly, so take your time. Mostly just fluff, with plot sprinkled in. The action picks up in chapters 20+! Its somewhat episodic, but also a serial, if that makes sense. Dungeon Core Chat Room.
This is a slower-paced "experiment and dungeon building" web novel that tries to use the idea of peer-to-peer communication with Dungeon Cores instead of Dungeon to slave monster communication to break up the detailed dungeon building. Rank 1 description: (minimum met for system initialization...detailed description as follows) Each race was given a system by the gods to make up for their shortcomings and balance their place in this world. Humans: Abysmally bad at understanding and using magic unable to use more than the lowest of magic were given the "Skill System" magic in the form of premade skills with use, study, and mastery tied to experience. Elves: Intuitively understand magic and have long lives leading to vast knowledge and skill in their chosen fields. However, as a species, they have nearly zero sex drive and less than low fertility, so they were gifted the "World Tree System" with experience gained through the care of natural areas – gifting the chance of children to increase their numbers without dirty copulation. All “natural” or “wild” monsters are given an "Evolution system" designed around killing and consuming as many creatures as possible, slowly increasing strength and, at thresholds, allowing mutations to alter them multiple times. Dungeon cores are different. Unlike humans, they can see, manipulate and live off mana. Unlike Elves, they naturally crystallize after extended periods of time in high mana level areas. However, they cannot easily move or communicate and typically go insane without companionship. As a species other than the odd eccentric they are unimaginative. Brute forcing solutions without the drive to truly innovate. Thus they have been gifted with the "Dungeon Connection System" a magical version of the internet accessible by their peers that allows them to barter and sell: bait, traps, monsters, and knowledge, as well as entertain each other with “adventure streams” using exciting recorded battles and humorous reels of arrogant chumps biting off more than they can chew to often fatal effects. This is the casual story of a dungeon unluckily spawned far from potential adventurers forced to innovate beyond its peers to find its place in this world. Rank 2 Description: Justification. I've been on a dungeon core kick for months and while I love the genre – it's sparse with entries. Often the forced conflict gets repetitive and frantic solving of threats "power levels" the protagonist to god levels to progress the plot – taking away the nice steady progression fantasy I'm looking for. (Progression in this story is linked to how strong of monsters/traps/whatever he can create not his "level"...this is demonstrated by some of his newer monsters beating his older monsters not with discrete "this monster has 10 attack this one has 40") Additionally, the focus on 3rd parties with their drama takes away from the reason I’m reading dungeon core novels in the first place – I'm looking for magical crafting, experimentation and kingdom building – not defence from higher and higher levelled enemies looking to steal/destroy/control the MC. This novel is kind of just me writing the story I wish I could read. I like thinking about the experimentation that can be done in fantasy settings using 'mana' as an excuse to make up rules and try to keep them internally consistent. IE once I define how a rule works, I'm going to commit to keeping it – no breaking hard truths I've given when it's convenient, even if it backs me into a corner. Hopefully, that should make the story interesting to read even if it's SOL and less action-oriented. There will be problems to solve and a clear progression in strength (of created monsters and knowledge) however due to not wanting to force conflict for the sake of conflict the general theme will be closer to slice of life with few action sequences and no overarching goal so please keep that in mind when picking this up as the genre is not for everyone. Finally, I have a clear goal of what I want from this story (not an endless romp but a series of arcs and then a conclusion that's a couple of dozen medium-sized chapters long) I want to commit to finishing it or at least bringing it to a point of rest. I hate all the engaging stories that stop with a “hiatus” indefinitely so in the event I lose motivation I'll work to end this even if the ending becomes rushed/unsatisfying just to give a sense of closure. I’m planning on including several polls in terms of direction and taking feedback heavily into account if I get enough readers (but may choose to ignore it if it deviates too far from the direction I want to take this as in feedback like: “The MC needs a cartoonishly evil arch-enemy that wants to enslave him and force the mc to pump out magic items” or “the MC needs to make a body and learn teleportation then live with humans” will get shot down without consideration.)

Infested
One billion people from one hundred thousand universes have been dropped onto a singular planet five times larger than Earth. In the corner of their eye were three numbers: 1,000,000,000. 15. 10. Nobody could figure out what it meant until fifteen years after the initial transportation, as out of the blue, a message repeated itself in their minds for twenty-four hours. “Only ten can return. The rest will die. There is no time limit,” Following the global message, genocides ran rampant, with established friendships broken, families ripped apart, blood alliances betrayed, and leaders felled in seconds. How? [The Evgnomon] The Beholden; hidden throughout the realm were artefacts: weapons, information, tools from beings and societies of a higher plane. It was up to the humans to scour the land and take them by hook or by crook if they ever wished to go back. Whisked into this world as a mere babe, I suppose it was lucky I didn’t die in the chaos. But as I stare into the rotten, tattered pages of the accursed book laid upon the pedestal in front of me; and the unnerving gaze of our professor trained onto the back of my head silently pressuring me to become the avatar of grotesques unspeakable and undecipherable to the human mind. O, how I wish I did...
