Above you, you could hear Hoyt's steps come across the floor. You both stared at the ceiling, not daring to say anything. You glanced at Thomas as you heard Hoyt start talking. You could hear another male voice but it was hard to make out what they were saying.

Suddenly they fell silent and you could hear Hoyt walking back. There was a small pause before the group of five also came in. Thomas gave a low growl and glared at the ceiling as he watched their footsteps crossing above him.

You could hear the group quietly talking just outside the basement door. Thomas stared at it, watching for any movement. He was prepared for someone to come through that door, however you both knew that they would not make it back out.

Thomas stayed on high alert even after he heard Hoyt's voice break up their chatter. He was not gonna take any chances. Not after the last time...

For a moment the thought of leaving came to mind. You could just scream and it would be over. That is, if Thomas didn't kill you for it. You looked up at him. He didn't notice you, keeping his eyes locked on the door. It was just about when you were gonna say something that you heard a crash upstairs.

Thomas quickly crossed the room to his work bench. He surveyed the rack of items before deciding. He grabbed a point ball hammer and slid it into the pocket of his apron. He also pulled a chainsaw off the table, coming to the bottom of the stairs.

You gave him a scared look as he turned back to you. He gave you a stern look in return. Hoyt started yelling upstairs and soon the others started arguing too. You could hear them fighting back and forth. What had happened and why were they now fighting?

You heart skipped a beat as Hoyt' s voice rang out above the rest.

"Thomas!"

Thomas's head snapped up and he began climbing the stairs. You ran over and grabbed his arm. He shook you off harshly and continued. You sat there. You didn't want to be left alone down here and certainly not when you had no idea what was gonna happen now.

You shrunk away from the stairs as you heard a scream. A loud thud came the floor above and the sound of the chainsaw being brought to life filled the house. With every new scream you jumped. It seemed like forever until the house fell silent.

You waited and waited. Thomas hadn't come back. Your fear started to build as time passed and you were getting sick of it. You slowly crossed the room, hesitating with each step. As you climbed the staircase you listened for any sound possible.

You slowly turned the door knob, letting it pop open with a small creak. The door creaked opened even more as you made a gap just big enough for you to slip through. As you surveyed the hallway your heart seemed to stop.

Laying on the floor in front of you was a man. His skull had been busted open and blood leaked out into a pool around it. You gasped and covered your mouth as you stepped into the hallway. Everything was quiet.

You stepped over him and walked out to the staircase. Nothing. You decided to climb the staircase in hopes to find someone. Preferably Thomas. At the top, you peered around the corner of the wall, surveying the area. You then crossed the hall and went into the bedroom.

You sat down on the bed and sighed. 'I'm safe here...right?' Something in the back of your mind told you otherwise...

It had been a while since you heard anything. Then the front door slammed open and a scream filled the house. The roaring of a chainsaw followed behind. You jumped up and ran to the door stopping as a loud scream erupted.

You could hear her yelling something and his chainsaw dying down to a low humming. You could hear the girl saying something to him. Confused, you opened the door. Her voice was low and you couldn't make out what she was saying.

You crept down the stairs and looked around. The voice was coming from a door at the very bottom the stairs. You slowly went through it. It led to a doorway across from you. Just past the doorway, a blonde stood there.

She was young with long blonde hair, blue eyes, tan skin, and a nice body. She was oddly pretty. Her one hand was raised in front of her, the other behind her back. Just out of view Thomas stood there.

"You don't have to do this! You could come with me..."

She took a step closer. You could see a large knife in the hand behind her back.

"We could leave together. Just you and me..."

She took another step forward. Thomas froze up a little. Your heart raced. In just a few more steps she would stab him. She'd be free. They could leave and never look back...but...what would happen to him?

You looked for something just in case. A heavy vase laid in the corner of the doorway. You silently picked it up.

"I could take great care of you, darling."

She took another step, clenching the knife tightly. You had to do something. Either let her stab him and be free, or save him. You clenched you had and closer you eyes. Before stepping into the room.

The blonde gasped and turned towards you. You glared at her as you quickly approached her. She took out the knife from behind her back. Ignoring it you raised the vase over your head and smashing it down on her. She screamed and swung her arm, slashering the side of your as it came down.

You hissed and brought down the vase again, this time with as much force as possible, breaking it over her head. She fell back onto her back and stopped moving. You stood up straight with your shoulders and chest heaving slightly.

Thomas stood there watching you. You turned to look at him as you dropped the remaining piece of unbroken vase onto the floor.

"She had the knife...she was going to stab you! I couldn't-"

Thomas looked at you.

"I couldn't let her stab you..."

Thomas looked at the ground. He then walked over to her and crouched down, checking for her pulse. He stood up, shook his head, and grabbed her ankle, pulling her away from you. He traveled thought the halls and into the basement with you following close behind.

The blondes head made a dull thudding sound as it bounced off each stair. You clenched your arm. The length of the cut wasn't severe but it wasn't very good either. The ends of the cut had already clothes with blood, the middle however, still ran.

Thomas threw the blonde onto a meat hook in the corner of the room. Once he was done with that he turned his attention to you. He picked you up by your waist, setting you down on the table in the center of the room. He tilted his head as he examined your arm. He sighed and shook his head.

He walked to the desk and bent over it, blocking your view of his work. When he stood back up he held a small paper. He handed it to you and nodded.

"I'm sorry. That won't happen. Never again."

You looked up from the note. He held a small look of concern. Did he think you were mad at him?

"It's okay Thomas. I promise, I wont do that ever again."

Thomas nodded, his expression lightening.
