my heart constricted in my chest as i look up the ceiling. dark thoughts and ghastly apprehensions kept on running through ny head as i kept on tossing and turning, trying to find a comfortable position. i couldn't help but divert my mind to the fact of how lonely it felt like. i could be fortunate enough to live -temporarily- in a mansion, but it's always different to be living at home. the place you've grown to.
but i forgot that after all these years, i've long enough forgotten how it really felt like to be at home, to feel protected. cause i lost it all.
the guest room was big enough for me. and although the room consumed of a huge space, i still felt suffocated. i avert my gaze to the wall clock and sighed, sitting up and rolling off my bed. i walk towards the small table placed in the very middle of the room, where a duffel bag was placed.
my eyebrows furrowed as i quickly unzipped it, unfolding one shirt placed at the top. my face scrunched as i felt a sudden sense of disgust greeting my system. it wasn't a shirt. it was a shory silky night gown and i dig in deeper to find something atleast decent. but still, life was making me the unfortunate.
grunting, i push my hand to my hollow and aching stomach. i sit back at the edge of the bed, staring down at the unzipped duffel bag, not knowing what the hell should i do with my life anymore. my head whipped towards the door and quickly stand up, making my way out of the room. the lights were turned off and no one is in sight. i tip-toed out and down the stairs, quietly making my way inside the kitchen.

i open the cabinets and cupboards, finding myself a glass and filling it with water. i down the last of my drink, smiling at the relieve of my throat. i place it down the kitchen counter but as i did, i heard the echoing sound of the door being slammed.
"shit," i muttered to myself as i stood frozen, hearing loud footsteps getting nearer and nearer. i heard a grunt, followed by faint coughs and slurred words i couldn't a bit understand.
i firmly press my hand down the kitchen counter and pursed my lips, my eyes averting towards the door where a figure stood. i prevented myself from jumping off in surprise, instead quietly making my way out.
but i stopped abruptly when i heard a loud thump on my way out. i immediately turned back around to see the figure gone, darkness and quietness consuming back in. my fingers searched for the light switch as i firmply pressed it up, confused and surprised as to seeing someone lied down on the floor. i didn't know what to do and i contemplated on whether to help him or leave him here, afraid someone might catch me and think that i'm taking advantage of this sober.
i squeeze my eyes shut and massage the bridge of my nose, kneeling down and tried to move him into a much easy position for him to stand back up. i held him up using both my hands, outstretching an arm around his back and the other for support. he fell back down again, making me desist on leaving him and returning back to the guest room.
he grunted and i heard him slurr his words once again, making me divert my gaze towards him. presuming as to what baehyun said, he's his brother. they almost have the same features, making me wonder if he's also an asshole like his brother. i flinched as i saw him open his eyes and a small smile escaping his lips. i cussed and aggresively stand him back up, putting his arm around my shoulder for support. i was about to lead him up the stairs when a thought came into my head. i don't even know exactly where this drunkard's room is.

can he possibly answer me legitimately? aishhh.
"w-where's your room?"
"g-go up," he answered in a deep and husky voice. i inhaled deeply before helping him up the stairs, stumbling every now and then. his arm outstretched as when we were one step left, pointing at the door sported with a letter 'v' just beside the guest room.
"alright," i whispered and tighened my hold on him to keep him from falling and lead him inside. my fingers searched for the switch and turned it on. i lightly let go of him and he slumped down on his bed with a loud grunt.
i stretch my arms out and was about to leave the room when i felt a hand gripped around my wrist, pulling me back. my lips parted as he opens his eyes, his grip getting tighter around my wrist as his lips spread into a wide smirk.
"are you his new toy?"
sorry for making you wait :
now do you have an answer as to who he is? ;)

The Fracture
It was a normal day for the inhabitants of ERT-5901, more commonly known by the populace as Earth. A beautiful planet with lush resources and fertile land, well at one point anyways. Children were born, the elderly died, and Man was as corrupt as ever. But hey, what can you do about that? Can’t change human nature… But that's not the point. Basically the planet was peaceful, for the most part. Certainly they were better off than the species on FTL-3470… We don’t talk about them. Better to leave that book unopened. Anyways, that was all until January 5th of the year 2025. When the sky broke. Fractured. Stunning ocean blue cracks were spotted in the sky all over the planet. A spiders web of cracks and crevices littered the blue skies, tearing all that global peace to shreds. All while Wyatt Walker, a sad example of a human being, was black out drunk in a bar somewhere in LA. This is a post-apocalyptic, portal isekai, high fantasy kind of story set on our very own green Earth! The world has fractured, broken. The inhabitants of ERT-5901 are in for quite the quick and dramatic change in their way of life. Murder, theft, and death have become the norm. Survival of the fittest to the extreme. If you can’t keep up, then good luck playing the game. Hello, Kaiser here! I am the author of this lovely story and I would just like to put a few disclaimers down here. First, English is, in fact, my first language. This by no means I will have perfect grammar and there are bound to be spelling mistakes (please forgive me) and places where I accidentally put plot holes. If you find anything, I would appreciate it if you could let me know so I can fix / change it. I also welcome any constructive criticism or opinions you might have about the story (doesn’t always mean I will change something). Second, I am by no means a professional writer here. Just a confused student who wanted to write something. So, uh, here's my story? Third, if you can’t handle any of the following I recommend you find a different story as I will by no means change any of these topics. [Gore, Profanity, Twisted themes, Dark scenes, and Death] If you’re a sensitive person or a queasy person I would highly recommend a different story. Fourth, I would like to write with freedom so I will by no means be lenient with my writing. I intend to write without mercy. Characters will die, bad things will happen, blood will be spilled, and humans will continue to be humans. I would like to write things as realistically as possible while still having that dash of fantasy. Not everything will be all dark and gloom, there will be happy and funny moments mixed! (Hopefully, not a lot of edge) Enjoy! ッ
