Luhan tsks. "Don't you understand? If something happens to you.. I'd never forget myself."
Lay, with narrowed eyes, keeps on pleading. Irene whispers into Seulgi's ears,
"Make him understand. He will listen to you."
Seulgi nods, and cups Lay's face forcing him to look at her.
"Please don't stop me, Seulgi."
"Your promise.."
"I'll keep it."
"I can't see you suffer, Lay"
"Let's pretend Im willing to go along with this," Luhan joins in, "I still don't understand what you're hoping to find in some old house. You cant actually expect to find ghosts there.. right?"
Seulgi stands up. In a tough voice she says,
"If you don't listen to me.. then I make you listen or make you regret for going there."
Lay grips her hands making her sit down.
"Seulgi listen.."
"No, lay, you listen."
"These will all make sense one day. I KNOW THAT."
"Going there will not make any sense ever."
"If there's anywhere I can learn why it's all happening.. it's there."
"You are more important than learning this. You are so damn important to me, Lay. Why don't you understand?"
Lay pauses.
"Lay, listen, I will make you regret about your decision later if you go there. Don't ask me what will I do or what can I do."
"Why don't you understand it hurts-"
"It will hurt more if you go and suffer in same situation."
"If I go there, it won't happen again."
"It will."
"It won't," Sehun joins in the conversation for the first time. "for Lay it won't happen again. For us it will. But lay, let me tell you, you're willing to get yourself in hell."
"Better to take it all at once than suffocate forever," Lay says.

"It'll take alot lay."
"I'm ready to face it. I know what I'm doing. And about that house, I know best of all."
"Lay," Seulgi adds in, "Don't be this brave, it scares me.."
"I know how it sounds. But for my sake and your sake.. I have to try something," saying so, Lay looks at Luhan. "Now are you going to help me or am I going to find the key myself?"
"I just hope you know what you're getting into." Luhan answers.
"I'm sure I do."
One by one, everyone gives up the hope of making him understand.. except Seulgi. Lay looks at her, with his eyes searching for her kindness, and for her to let him go. Seulgi looks away.
"Lay, I still can't support you. I know it would make you suffer a lot. Way more than this."
"But only once."
"What if you won't be able to take it then?"
"Do you think I'll die?"
"SHUT UP"
"I asked a question."
"No.. you can't.."
"Then let me go. I'll be back, I promise."
Seulgi gets silent, still disagreeing. Lay sits closer to her and pulls her in a hug.
"Seulgi, I won't disappoint you."
A silent drop of tear fells from Seulgi's eyes on his shirt, "You better not."
"So we are heading to get the key anytime soon." says Luhan.
"Lu.. please stay in contact." says Yeri.
"Sure thing." Luhan replies.

The First Magician
James died from touching something he, in hindsight, should definitely not have. As luck would have it, he was reborn into a world with magic, levels, skills, and stats. Just like an RPG! The most curious thing about this new world was that magic had only existed for thirty years. What kind of life will James lead in a world filled with monsters, dungeons, and magic? Usually will update Wednesday and Saturday, but there's always the chance I haven't gotten around to writing in a while so there may be a break. Additionally, I intend to edit heavily between arcs.
