《Like Sunshine On Snow | p.jm ✔》십육: dead-end?

"This man... seriously?" Sera gaped with lucid amusement clouding her features.
All this while, she had but believed that she was the one who was being pushed towards the dead-end, being disabled from making a free choice of her own. She felt trapped— muddled if what she was doing, was apt for the moment or whether what she had not, would have been instead. If it were a simple 'either this or that' question— with no subjectivity attached, maybe her woes would have been much less. But every single action of hers pertained to a myriad of possibilities that even she was not sure anymore as to what to deem as indispensable out of them.
"Ugh, this is driving me crazy." Sera muttered aggressively under her breath, the frustration not seeming like subsiding even as she went further and put on a coat in order to head outside.
However, at times like such, one should ensure making use of their brain efficiently, irrespective of the confusion standing right in front of them, or the guilt waiting for them depending on their stance— although faraway. Sera did admit that she had not enacted a plan in her head beforehand, but as her gaze fell upon Gaeul's door the minute that she had rushed out of her own apartment, an idea clicked into her mind.
Since it was Gaeul who had stirred her into mulling over what she was originally going to do, her change of schemes must involve a thing under the former's possession as well.
"Could you lend me your car maybe? I'll make sure that you don't have to worry about either me or your car. I promise I'll not take long." Gaeul had come across an earnestly imploring Sera, her eyes substantiating her efforts— as soon as she opened the door following the female's indicative knocks.

This girl, Sera, had been shamelessly exploiting her superpower ever since she observed that Gaeul had a weak spot for cuteness, contrary to her personality.
"Why do you need it though?" Gaeul simply could not just give in, it was strictly against her self-made and applied rules. Hence, folding her arms as she quirked one of her brows, Sera was made to meet with her inescapable query.
"I... Uhm, I promise I'll tell you once the work is done. But until then..." Sera's voice gradually decreased because of the intimidation that Gaeul had been causing her. She was not to blame though, it is almost as natural to want to know why a person needs to borrow one of your belongings.
"If the number of times you've uttered promise turns out not to be proportional to your sincerity, you know what I'll do with you. You do, right?" Gaeul's blade eyes had been launched, and Sera's relentless shudders were proving it quite right.
Angering Gaeul and being laden with extra work went hand-in-hand, Sera had come to know about the very torture in these two years.
Gaeul could see through Sera's transparent eyes how genuinely she spoke every word, that how she meant all of it by her heart. Cracking a suppressed smile, she then gave her the anticipated cue. As soon as Sera had recognized the gesture, she sprinted down the hallway, leading Gaeul to wonder if she were indeed a supernatural creature.
Sera had started the car the same moment she thought that she had settled quite comfortably in her seat, rushing it with the maximum speed that she was confident at attaining. In no time—which is notably an understatement— she had already parked the car before a gigantic building which flaunted the words Bighit Entertainment indeed very proudly.

It was only a matter of time that she would have else been rebuked to drive away by some staff member, that two silhouettes caught her attention. They had emerged from the darkness of an alleyway, rendering Sera incapable of figuring out who was who. It was not until they had approached her car indeliberately— since the building and the vehicle were in the same direction, that she could capture the details.
Coincidence? Sera's life was full of them.
Unconsciously splitting the biggest grin on her face, Sera pressed the horn repeatedly. The loud honking made the two people flinch out of shock at first, but one of them— comparatively shorter— soon began to tread towards Sera. When their eyes eventually met, the person also inattentively ended up copying her expression, making their exchange mutual.
"Get in, I'll take you somewher—"
"Hey, Park Jimin! What do you think you're doing?" It was the other one's turn to address Jimin now, who had also accidentally happened to cut off Sera in between.
Jimin passed a smile at Sera before continuing, "Wait a bit here, hm? I've got to tell Namjoon about it first, so that the members don't worry about me afterwards."
And there he went jogging towards Namjoon, explaining the situation between Sera and him as the girl assumed—for he was taking too long for someone who just had to inform that he was going away for a while— and subsequently coming back to her at last.
Namjoon raised his arm as he formed a thumbs-up, prompting Jimin to giggle immediately. Pulling the seat belt and tucking it in its place, Jimin could not understand why was he feeling so nervous out of the blue. He slid his palms across his thighs and spared an intrigued look at Sera as he tilted his neck, urging her to complete what she could not, some moments prior.
"You'll see." Though Sera was reluctant to disclose the information so easily, and hence she just chose to shrug off Jimin's curiosity.

A Sith? During The Fall
Darth Zaros was the Empire’s Wrath; the greatest Sith Warrior and a man feared across the galaxy. He was also just my Old Republic game character until I somehow woke up as him. If that wasn’t bad enough, I was sent thousands of years into the future to the eve of the Great Jedi Purge. Alone and surrounded by enemies, can Zaros survive long enough to figure out how he got there? Can he ever find his way back? Follow along as Zaros uses his powers and more importantly, the knowledge of a fan, to navigate his way through a dangerous Universe. I'm working with a mixture of canon and legends stuff. If it hasn't been written over in canon then it will probably be free game. Because I’m reconciling various different sources, power levels won’t be blown out of proportion to the point that force users become the only relevant people in the Galaxy. I added the gore tag just in case. This is Star Wars, so there won’t be any needless blood spatters, but lightsaber duels often end with some body part cut off.

He is told that he must compete in competitive simulations against other Champions in order to earn enough to continue to simulate his consciousness. The first competitive simulation our hero faces is from the Summoned Hero/Traveller to a New World genre, and is set as Fantasy Realistic - no game interface. He must ensure that the person he chose in the simulation's setup survives the end of the world in order to win. Author's note: I'm committing to one arc of four books. The arc has its own complete storyline. And each book has its own individual storyline as well. Each book also has 60 chapters, for a total commitment of 240 chapters. I'm aiming for a release schedule of a chapter every 23 hours.

Twoen
The struggle for an interesting game has been the story of my life for quite some time. Every game I find is either too easy, not interesting or too short. Luckily, my two brothers who match my level of skill, albeit in different areas, tend to spice things up. When I look at my older brother I have no idea how he gets anything done when he's such an idiot. Still it doesn't detract from my respect for him as a gamer, though maybe a little. When I look at my younger brother I marvel at the monster that my older brother and I created. Deadliness, craftiness and quiet, both in what he does and how he is. When it's just us three we tend to destory everything in our path. So normally we tend to compete rather than team. Although that isn't to say we're just good as individuals. When we work together our effectiveness multiplies rather than lowering. Well enough about us dorks. Anyway a new VR game came out, apparently in development for quite some time. Of course my older brother decided to drive out and buy three copies. What would this one be missing? Difficulty? Depth? Length? In any case I plan to reach the top before my brothers do. It was a competition after all. Twoen had all three things I normally yearn for in spades. Something I did not foresee. A keeper
