《Bed Sheets ✖ Toni Kroos》Chapter 22: Uncle Toni

"Goodbye Valentina," the brothers said in unison.
Today, us two men have become two of the most hated guys in Madrid. We put Iker Casillas' half sister in jail.
"What do you say we go get some dinner?" Jandro proposed.
I sighed. "Honestly, I'm still trying to process what has happened over the past few months, but my stomach is going to jump out and choke me if I don't eat soon, so why not?"
He let out a laugh and walked to his car. We took our separate cars to a nearby steakhouse and sat down to eat.
"Small world, isn't it?" He shook his head.
"Yeah. Who knew revenge on each other would've ended up uniting us in bitter hostility over a girl that fucked around with us both. How she managed to take advantage of both of us was mesmerizing,"
His face grew red. "Did she deserve to be put behind bars, though? We legitimately shredded her life into pieces."
"She made a joke out of the both of us and shredded my start in Madrid. The guys would've hated me either way. Plus, the longer it took for the cops to eventually get her, the bigger the punishment would've been for us both, too." I convinced myself to stop the doubt and guilt from eating me up.
He nodded. "Do we get a fresh start? As brothers, I mean."
" I don't know, I guess?" I shrugged.
"I know a girl you may be inter-"
I shook my head and laughed, "No, no, no," I stretched the words. "Forget girls, man. I am officially done with them for, like, a whole year."
He smiled and nodded, "That makes the both of us."
I nodded and continued to devour my food, ignoring the awkward silence before I heard my name, "Mhm," I muttered through a mouthful.

"I want you to meet my son. I want him to have family. I want you to be his first real family. I want you to be the cool uncle that spoils him. I want you to be the uncle he goes to when I piss him off." He looked at me with a hopeful glint in his eyes.
I stopped chewing and gaped at him. "Huh?"
"I'm serious Toni." He looked at me over his glass of wine.
"I guess I don't mind. I mean, what do I have to lose?" I laughed awkwardly.
We finished off our food and headed to his house. He wasn't kidding about what he said. We walked into his mansion and greeted the nanny.
A small, young boy who looked like he was around 4 looked up at me with his sharp, blue eyes. He had blond hair, too.
"Jandro, you never told me anything about his mom."
Sadness washed over his face. "We were together for 2 years and she died giving birth to him. I wanted to propose to her that day. I never got over her, I still am not over her. Remember the girl I was with that had a one night stand with you?"
I felt my heart rate pick up.
"She was the first girl I was with since Pablo's mom. That's why I was infuriated. That's why I came after you." I opened my mouth to apologize but he waved his hand. "Forget the past, please."
"Pablo, this is your uncle, Toni. Toni, this is your nephew, Pablo." He picked his son up.
I looked up at him and smiled. "Hi Pablo." I reached out for him and he came into my arms.
Jandro stared with surprise and a glint of pride in his eyes. "He never goes to anyone."

"It's a start of something," I smiled at my brother.
Since that day, I would hang out daily at Jandro's, or vice versa.
I'd take Pablo with me to the stadium sometimes.
The guys treated me less coldly eventually, except for Iker.
After a few seasons in Madrid and watching Pablo growing up to love me. We moved out of Spain.
Jandro and I never dared disagree on any topic from that point on. Pablo grew to love me so much, he'd burst if he didn't get to see me.
As for Valentina, she was released a bit earlier. She constantly sent me and Jandro apologies via all communication sites, even through paper mail. We never replied, though
we did feel bad. The media never left her, either.
She managed to get her life back on track and she was soon with someone who took her for her past and her mess.
Unlike Jandro and I, she still trusted people easily.

Small Town Love
For Daphne Emerson, New York City was her home. The city that never slept, the high skyscrapers, the Metropolitan Museum of Art if she actually had enough money for once to visit it, the tiny refrigerator of an apartment that she shared with her mother. When her mother dies, things change. NYC is left behind and Daphne goes to live with her aunt and uncle in the tiny, coastal town of Fairbury, Maine. Fairbury maybe was smaller than NYC had been, but that didn't mean that it was boring. It was filled to the brim with the typical small town gossip, snippy classmates and, of course, werewolves. Wait, what?!*****Luke Schuyler always knew what was expected of him. He had been raised as the future Alpha of the Schuyler pack, he wrote straight A's in school and was the quarterback of the football team. He had grown up in the sleepy town of Fairbury and so when a new girl begins at school, that also happened to be the cousin of his best friend, he doesn't think much about it. That was the first strike. The second strike came when he saw her the first time. Because Daphne Emerson was his mate.
