Toni's P.O.V

The boys looked confused when Carlo leaned over and whispered something in my ear. 

I bit my lip and scratched my head worriedly, Florentino wanted to see me. 

 Their eyes didn't leave me as I made an exit out of the pitch and headed to see the president of the club. 

"Buenos dias, senor Florentino," I attempted a calm and collected tone. 

"Toni, have a seat," he offered.

I silently obeyed and smiled at him, "What's the pleasant occasion?" 

"You tell me, Kroos." He leaned over and raised his bushy, gray eyebrows. "How's being here for two months going? Is it infuriating and pressuring to the point that you have to threaten and shatter windows?" 

The Lord knows how much I despise this man. "Sir, it's not-"

"I don't care what it is," he frowned. "Your pretty boy feelings have to be separated from your and her workplace," 

"Sir, I-" I began. 

"I'm not done speaking," he clicked his tongue. "I am not going to ask you twice; stay away from her." 

"Yes, sir." It was growing difficult for me to hide my frustration.

"Dismissed." He looked at me with disgust.

It took me a few seconds too long to summon a forced smile, unclench my fists and leave. 

"What'd that bitch want?" Isco asked as he sat down across me.

"The whole window-breaking incident. He told me to stay away from Valentina, and that he 'wasn't going to ask me twice'," I snorted. 

"Ask you twice to do what?" James asked as he walked back into Isco's living room after using the bathroom. 

I felt my cheeks turn red as the pale brunette sat himself across me. "Noth-"

"The whole Valentina incident," he shrugged, looking down at his phone. 

I felt my anger rise, "Isco, what the fuck man?" 

He looked up at me from his phone, "I take it you haven't heard,"

My eyes traveled back and forth from each one of the two men, "Heard what? I'm confused." 

It was James who spoke, "Iker is losing his mind; he asked us to keep this confidential, me, Isco, Cris and Serg to find out about the whole Alejandro thing with his sister," 

"And?" I raised my eyebrows.

"What do you mean 'and', Toni?" Isco sighed.

"What do you guys think of this?" I inquired. 

The two men exchanged looks, "Iker doesn't believe it," Isco replied. "But you know I definitely do, I've been with you and I witnessed it all." 

"I don't get it, though, what's the deal with this guy? I've only been here for a few months." James asked confusedly. 

"A few years ago there was this bus crash in which a handful of people died, and the company are believed to have known about the engine issues that were present. Not only did Alejandro prove the company innocent after trial, but he was found innocent as well after it was discovered that one witness was bribed, and the other was drugged." Isco informed him. 

"If this doesn't prove to you how heartless he is that he let the lives of innocent people not get what they deserved, I don't know what does," I added in. 

He seemed to be absorbed in thought for a few second, "Why Valentina?" 

I felt my heart fall to my stomach and my nerves strain themselves as I remembered my case with him last year. This way his way of getting back at me. 

"You look pale," Isco remarked. 

I shook my head, "The thought makes me sick to my stomach, and her being with him worries me," I half lied. 

My family and Valentina were the only people who knew about the case. 

"Anyway, Iker is in doubt, and he says that if he finds out what's really behind this, he will lash out like a vicious tornado destroying everything in its way." James, without knowing, warned me. 

I felt my heart race further as I realized this was all tumbling down on Valentina's head and how bad the aftermath was going to be. 

But what is it that he has on her that she can't escape nor tell me?
