《Bed Sheets ✖ Toni Kroos》Chapter 2: Bitter

Toni's P.O.V
It's funny how in a matter of months someone who promised you they'd stay in touch breaks their promise.
Then you build yourself on false hopes.
Then collapse when the truth is revealed.
During this summer when we were in Brazil, I was really into Val. During that entire month, we got to know each other better and even go on a few dates. Not to mention, she stayed after Spain lost to support me.
When we'd won the world cup,she came back to Germany with me for a few days, and it was all going fine until she dumped me in the airport.
However, being the hopeless romantic I am, I hoped to get together with her when I surprised her by coming to Madrid for my new contract.
Ironically, she ended up surprising me by getting with Jandro. She knew how much I despise him.
Isco handed me my cup of wine and sighed as he studied my face expression. "Valentina?"
"You know it." I replied. Isco was well aware of what happened between us in Brazil and we'd been close since the World Cup.
"I really didn't know she was seeing him." He shook his head.
"How the hell did she even reach one of Spain's most infamous lawyers?" I spoke my thoughts.
"How'd you know he's infamous?" He raised his eyebrows.
"Read an article," I lied.
He simply nodded. "I'll try my best to get you guys to talk, since she's been ignoring you for the past 2 weeks. Though, it's hard, we know how she can be if you get on her bad side," He laughed.
"Good bye angel face," I smiled. "Anyway, I should be leaving."
"I'll see you around. Don't over think it." He punched my arm.

"I'll take your advice into consideration," I joked.
He shook his head and patted my back.
Later that night, I went to one of the pueblo restaurants. Once again, to my luck, I walked in to find the couple seated somewhere in the center, and I got seated somewhere near them.
My fury increased with every touch his hand would give her. I had no regret in staring right at them, and when Jandro caught my gaze, he sneered and brought her hand to his lips. I rolled my eyes and looked down at my meal, which I ate with no appetite.
I needed to find an explanation to this.
I needed to find an explanation before I lose my sanity.
What Val and I had was too valuable to be lost.
What Jandro did to me was too vital to be forgotten.
I waited for them to leave before paying my bill and I headed out. I decided to go to Valentina's place, half expecting to find Jandro there. However, right before I parked my car, I hesitated, and decided to head out t Iker's place.
He seemed to be surprised to see me at his place before inviting me in. "What's up, new guy?" he teased.
I shook my head. "Not much, cap'n,"
"Are you here to tell me you're dating my little sister in secret and that I need to give you the Big Brother Talk?" He laughed and seemed to be half joking.
"Huh?" I gave him a confused look.
"What huh? I was aware of the romance that happened in Brazil." He raised his eyebrows.
"She has a boyfriend..." I retorted in a confused manner.
"No.. She doesn't?" He seemed to be just as confused as I was.
"Alejandro Rivera?" I told him.
"One of the infamous lawyers in Spain? What the hell is he doing with my sister?" He furrowed his eyebrows.
"Something seems fishy. Please don't mention this to her, and I'll try my best to find out what the hell is going on."
"And then you'll tell me." He stated.
"Yeah, surely, don't worry." I ran my fingers through my hair.
Something big was going on and I did not feel the least bit comfortable about it.

A Girl and Her Food
When a lost girl wakes up without a name, she quickly finds herself alone in a way that people around her can’t fix. Without a real plan and desperate to find what’s wrong with her, she thrashes and bites to stay alive. But human beings are weak things, that band together for strength, no matter who we are. Now if only she could work up the courage to ask one question... It’s normal to get stronger when you drink the blood of monsters. Right? Things to expect: - A powerful but kinda neurotic and emotional protagonist, with some degree of weak to strong. Or maybe strong to stronger, honestly. She's pretty rational and practical about things but won't always make the best decisions, so be warned if you super-dislike characters doing dumb stuff for emotional reasons sometimes. - Lots of dialogue and characterization, especially as we get more into it. It's focused on a single POV, but there might be some sections of other POVs later on, I'm not sure right now. - Magic is on the softer side, but I'll try to keep things fleshed out enough to avoid any obvious "well-established magic could have seemingly instantly solved this problem" moments. - I didn't add the mystery tag because I feel like it implies that this is a detective novel or something, but the story is absolutely incredibly opaque at times. So you'll have the most fun if you go into it trying to puzzle out the nature of events before they're explicitly explained!😇 - Also, I added the genre for completion, but it's gonna take a while to get to the romance. Please wait warmly and have some tea. Participant in the Royal Road Writathon challenge!
