The crunch of leaves , small twigs , and other debris were step on by a gigantic wolf-like paw making loud thumping noises that echoed though out the dead silent forest , nothing could ruin the silence that wrapped the forest in a almost secure blanket , you stop dead in your tracks when a flash of red , white , and blue fly past your muzzle , breaking the eerie silence in the forest , curiosity got the better of you and your paws started moving before asking your brain what it wanted and before you know it your a few inches away from the 'thing' , approaching it slowly and cautiously , heart thumping out of your chest , once by the 'thing' that you can now tell look like a shield , a red , white , and blue shield at that , lowering your muzzle and clenching your eyes shut tightly , waiting for the touch , finally your wet nose hit a cold metal and surprisingly nothing exploded , once sure it was safe you unclenched your big (e/c) eyes and your nose started to wiggle taking in the smells of metal , paint , and leather from the straps on the back of the shield to hold it , picking up the shield in your muzzle , all your canines and sand-paper like tongue feeling and tasting , cold and metallic , once secure in your muzzle , you turned around to instantly drop the shield , you were face to face or mask to muzzle with .......
