"Ezra!"
She blinks twice, staggering on her feet for a while. When she steady up her stance again, the blurriness has gone with the ringing. She breathed out slowly, calming herself down when the possibility of this happening again entered her mind. Okay, now you have to stay calm, Ara. And think.
She straighten herself, eyes roaming to the unconcious bodies around the room. They could not do this here, with full of people outside that may endanger their safety.
"Okay, what the fucking hell is going on here?" A man a few feets from her grumbled, his deep voice rumbling about in the room, together with the same confusion that blanketing the rest. "Why the fuck is one after another faint? What the devil is fucking going on to us?"
"Calm the fuck down, Luca. No one knows what is happening here. We have to cool down and raise our guard up if someone is actually targeting us. Not panicking and makes thing worse." Another deep, melodious voice on the opposite of her spoke up sharply, sending shiver down Ara's spine.
"Zachary is correct. We have encounter something akin to this before. Everyone have to stay calm." A bright red head man chided in like a true leader, his voice is powerful and magnetic, forcing people to stop and listen to his command. "Kairo, is there anything you want to share with the rest of us?"
"No." The man kneeling near the sofa, Kairo sigh defeatedly. "I couldn't find anything wrong with them. They are in their best health and there is not a single trace of magic landed upon them. Absolutely nothing."
"Nothing? How can that be?" Luca asked anxiously, his hand messing up his shoulder-length honey blond locks, sending them into a sexy disarray. "It is impossible for them to suddenly fell unconcious. There must be something."

The remaining rest, which are only Kairo and Zachary excluding the bright red headed man and her that stay silent, chorused one after another. "Yeah."
"Luciano, Daniel. The both of you go and check the parameter outside of the room, if there is anything suspicious." The bright red headed one, the-guy-she-does-not-know-his-name-is ordered, eyes calm but serious as he folds his buldging arms across his chest. "We have to change our location. We could not afford to risk ourselves if there really are other people aiming to harm us." His face then darken. "Especially the ones like us."
The ones like them? What does he mean?
"Daniel." Luciano grunts as he got up to his full height. "Hurry the fuck up."
She nods absentmindedly, scurrying after the tall, big tattooed man out of the room to check for someone suspicious. They walk out of the door, and she let it click close gently behind her, as she follows Luciano.
There are no one in the hall but a few staffs wandering about, busy with their work, no fans like before. She found the hall beautiful as she looks around again, eyes admiring the carved art decorating the hall.
Suddenly realize on something, she brings her left wrist in front of her just in time for her to see the fading gold colour of her soulmate's Soulmark. A cursive letter on 'M'. She let a small smile graces her face as she stares at the Soulmark, caressing it gently. Another soulmate. Another precious one destined to love and be loved by her. Could she makes them happy?
She shakes her head. She could not get distracted right now. Though she knows nothing is wrong with her unconscious soulmates despite them worrying, she have to stay alert. A habit she was forced to keep as an assassin.

As she observes the surrounding, a familiar silhouette standing not far away from her, talking to a staff catches her eyes. She creases her brows in suprise. Damn it. What is he doing here?
"Luciano. We have to get out of here."
He stops in his track beside her, head tilted her way. She could feel his eyes on her, hesitating about something. Feeling confused about his gaze, Ara looks at him with raised brow in question.
Wrong move.
His amber eyes look straight at Daniel's violet ones, which is currently hers, his eyes burn with hidden fire in them. But now as she stares at them, the fire looks weak, as if with just a whisper of wind, they could die without a trace, living only darkness looming the space.
But then, the shadow in his eyes taken her aback. Something in his eyes are a little different from the rest of the brothers'. A tiny light tint of hope that she could find in their's, she could not find in his. As if he is a living body without a soul, an empty shell, just waiting to end his meaningless life in this earth.
Ara's heart clenched in pain upon seeing such intense sadness along with her soul as she closes her eyes, greeting the darkness that she knows is coming to swallow her up.
