Beep. Beep. Beep.

Wake up.

Who the heck is that?

Wake up!

Okay... Creepy.

WAKE UP!

Ughh.

WaKe UpPpPpPP!!!!!!

"Ah! The hell?!" She jumped out of the bed and landed on the hard floor with a thud.

She groans. What kind of sound is that? Sounds like a goose choking feat bear whining. This is gonna be the new voice in her nightmare.

She huffed.

WaKe UpPpPpPP!!!!!!

"AHH!" She screams.

She looks around, searching for the source of the sound before her eyes landed on the latest gold smartphone on the side table.

She jumped on her feet and snatches her phone, scrolling on it.

"I knew it!"

She gripped her phone tighter and storms to the master bedroom beside hers, yanking the door open and let it slammed with a loud bang.

"Ric! You bastard! Why the fuck did you set my alarm with your creepy voice?! I swear to God if one day I die because of—"

She was cut off with a groan coming from under the piles of fluffy dark grey blanket and comforter.

"Language, Ara. What if Varo heard it? I'm gonna kill you...." He mumbles sleepily, his voice muffled against the pillow.

Ara looks at her brother in disbelief before she snorts, pushing her tongue against the soft meat of the inside of her cheek while running her fingers through her messy bed hair, a habit she picked up when she feels frustrated and angry.

"Okay, fine!"

She stormed back to her room while deleting the audio of her brother's creepy voice.

What a day to start.

Her heart is still beating loudly. But not because of the creepy alarm, but from the nightmare she woke up from. She couldn't remember what the nightmare this time is about, like always, but the effect of the nightmare afterwards is just as bad. She cups her face with her hands, trying to calm the fast beating of her heart.

Only one way to do it.

With her hands fall to her sides, she walks to the opposite room, the room of the love of her life.

She pulls open the white wooden door slowly, peaking with one eye to see if he is still asleep.

The small body is sprawling on his stomach on the queen size bed, taking as much space on the bed as his small body allows. His mouth was left ajar as he sleeps soundly, soft snores coming out of it.

Ara smiles fondly, looking at her baby brother. She walks in and closes the door gently, fearing a loud noise will wake her little brother up, though she doesn't realise that her childish tantrum in her big brother's room earlier might wake her precious little brother up.

She climbs his bed before adjusting her brother's sleeping figure with definite care and wraps her arms around his small waist, pulling him towards her. She puts her nose in his hair, inhaling the soft and calming smell of milk from his baby shampoo that he uses, blends with his own sweet scent.

The fears and anxiety that she feels earlier from the nightmare gradually faded away, like the water of the sea washing the shore, gentle and calming.

She closes her eyes contentedly, drifting to sleep in the cold embrace of the darkness with a dreamless slumber.

__________

Arabella

The sound of the bell jingles softly as she pushes open the door was drown in the sound of people chattering. Bittersweet aroma of coffee wafted in the air, greeting her warmly as she steps in the cafe. There's quite a lot of people this morning than usual swarms the cafe, especially with the new neighbourhood not too far from here.

Her silver orbs dancing around the cafe, taking in the busy surroundings. Her sight first landed on a table beside the huge window, overlooking the street, busy with cars. When she realise her favourite spot is still empty, she swiftly took it, sitting down gracefully.

She looks at the menu board in wonder, licking her lips at the delicious image in her head as she scans the menu. Pancake sounds yummy. Today, she feels like drinking a cappuccino instead of her usual caramel macchiato.

Despite her stomach wildly growling, she calmly waiting for a waiter to take her order as she hum lowly under her breath. Not a second later, the sound of footsteps nearing her table gets louder.

"Welcome to Café Smooth Brew. Can I take your order now, miss?" A boy a few years younger than her in a white button up shirt with black apron around his waist greeted with a warm smile.

Arabella returned it with her soft one.

"Yes, a blueberry buttermilk pancake and a cappuccino."

The guy nods before wrote it down on his notepad. "Anything else?"

"That's all."

The waiter nods again before he left.

She rummages in her simple black sling bag and takes out a black marker pen that she always use to sketch and paint. But now she doesn't have a paper nor does she needs it.

She pull the cap of the pen and starts to randomly sketch on her arm.

Arabella loves to paint, sketch. It made her heart calm and her mind clear. The satisfaction that she feels after her art complete, makes her heart swell with happiness and pride.

She focuses on her arm, the slight coolness of the ink on her skin. She smiles after an hour, the finished art of a dragon encircles her arm from her elbow to her wrist. The detailed art looks real, and the black ink in contrast with her fair, smooth skin creates an absolute beauty, making it looks like a design that is tattooed by a professional tattoo artist.

She put her elbow on the table, letting the wind blowing the ink dry. She sips her already cold cappuccino and starts enjoying the deliciousness of her pancake.

The second the food touches her tongue, her taste bud bursts with euphoria as she chews. Her eyes automatically closes, savouring the sweetness of blueberry in her pancake.

She doesn't usually have this extreme reaction to food, only if the food is really delicious or if she is extremely starving. Like now.

She really enjoy eating.

__________

"I don't care what he said! Just let me fucking do it alone!!" He roars in anger. His face colors in red, the obvious veins popping up on his temple makes him looks scarier.

The man in front of him quavering in fear, couldn't even look at him in the eyes.

The once deep black eyes that are now shining in red.

"Y—yes, sir. I will tell Mr. Smith now." The second his boss flick his wrist, signalling him to get out, he scurries as quickly as his feet can bring him out of the office.

The double black mahogany doors closed with a click, leaving the man in anger alone.

He stares at a space, lost in his thought as he ticked his jaw in anger. "Fucking useless human."

He ran his long fingers through his dark blue hair, the ray of light from the lamps of the office shines on him, making him looks ethereal with his perfectly sculptured face and his clear pale skin.

He slumped himself on his big red cushion office chair, muttering curses under his breath as he rolls his black button up sleeves to his elbows.

In his anger, he put his elbows on the huge office table, running his hands through his hair yet again. He didn't realize when he closes his eyes, but when he opens them again, something caught his eyes, as he momentarily freezes.

His furrowed eyebrows smooth out as his expression changes to awe. His now calm black eyes trail the black ink on his skin in wonder as he brings his arm closer to inspect it more closely.

The corners of his mouth involuntarily curl upwards in a gentle smile, something he never do in the presence of people.

If the man earlier saw this, he certainly will gape his mouth while quavering even harder. His boss never smiles!

The dark blue head man ran his fingers lightly on the art of dragon on his arm, as if he fears if he put anymore pressure the picture in his eyes will disappear, leaving him with no proof of the existence of his significant other.

He smiles yet again.

"Beautiful."
