There's also a reason for God to gift each individual with power in this world. But some people took granted of that, abusing the power they have.

It is very rare for a person to have some powerful Soulpower. Most people are gifted with the weaker powers like being able to change the color of things or able to move a people from one room to another room.

Until one year, a girl was born with the most shocking Soulpower ever.

What people fear the most is the unknown.

__________

No.

That's not true.

"I don't believe it." He speaks out.

She nodded her head in agreement, eyes hopeful and big, looking at the tall as skyscraper man.

Maybe because she is only around 129 cm, but the man towered her greatly with his bulky figure even though his hair has started to turn white.

The man in suit look down on the two pitiful children, in war with his thoughts before he averted his eyes in guilt.

How can anyone look into those big, innocent eyes while telling the news that could possibly kill those pure and innocent soul?

He came here only because of a reason. And whether he want it or not, he had to do it.

Tears started breaming in her eyes as she looks at the man, she found something that she desperately pray not to find in his eyes at this very moment.

"I'm sorry for your loss." That's all he said before the man turned and walked out of the bungalow, carry with him the little pieces of the children hearts with him.

The boy was frozen in his spot while the little girl started to sob, falling to her knees.

Its true. She thought. The man said the truth. She wailed harder.

Seeing his sister's breakdown, the boy rushed to her side, trapping her tight in his small arms as he rock her back and forth while whispering sweet nothings to her ear.

"It's okay, everything will be okay." He caress her hair before planted a kiss on her head. "I'll make sure everything will be okay." He whispered.

How can a ten years old boy make sure of that? That's the responsibility of the adults in the family. But since the only older people, their parents are gone, he as an eldest of them have to take over.

He has to be strong. For his siblings.

__________

"I'm sorry, brother. I'm sorry..." She wailed, pushing herself impossibly farther into the corner of the dark alley, wailing in self pity.

Her body was shaking like a leaf, that can fly in the air if the wind push just a little harder. Tears streaming down her delicate, smooth but dirty skin like a waterfall, fast and heavy as she brought her small hands to her head and gripped her white hair.

The boy two years older than her slowly approach the little girl, hands out like he was approaching a caged, scared animal.

He shushed. "It's okay, Ara."

"I'm sorry, brother. I didn't mean it! I swear! I didn't mean it!", She yelled.

"I know you didn't mean it. I trust you." He steps a little closer.

The small movement makes Ara flinched violently. "NO!", She yelled, palm faced her brother, warning him from coming closer to the broken girl. "Don't..."

He takes a step closer.

"Don't, brother. I did not want you to get hurt like them. I am a monster...", She pleaded through blurry eyes.

She did not want to see those fear in his brother's eyes, just like those people. She did not want her brother to fear her like they do. She does not want it.

Suddenly, a baby cries echoed through the night. Their heads snapped to the direction of the sound.

"Varo..." She whispered.

The boy looked back at her and smiled when he saw the longing look in her eyes. He straightened his body and put a hand out to her, waiting for her to take it.

Ara looked at the outstretched hand and shakes her head. "I can't..." She whispered.

"Then who will take care of Varo when i go out for food? Hmm?"

Silence.

"You are not a monster, Ara. Even if you are, Varo and I will love you no matter what." He coaxed.

Ara looked up at her brother, eyes big with hope, something that has long ago disappeared from her life.

"Promise?" She sniffed, bringing her pinky finger towards her brother.

He smiled before lacing his around hers. "I promise."

I promise, Ara. I promise.
