《Unforgivable ✔️》Chapter 39

I hadn't taken Elle out of the house since she was born. Everyone wanted to see her. Alex came over with his small family and congratulated me. Chase was there too with his mate. Shayne's parents were hovering constantly. His mother was unbelievable.
Shayne's mother continued to talk about taking Elle to a lot of places. As her only grandparents I wouldn't mind it if it weren't for the fact they kept excluding both Shayne and me. She also wasn't confirmed with having a girl. No, Shayne's mother wanted a boy and soon.
When I got home Bre was already preparing the food I asked for. I fed Elle while she continued to make the pasta. The whole house smelled like Italian food. I absolutely loved it and I hoped Shayne would too. I was going to make this the best night for him.
"How's the cooking going?" I asked.
"Good. All you have to do is make the sauce. I grilled the chicken and boiled the noodles." Bre said.
"Alright, could you burp her and get her diaper bag ready?"
"You should just hire me as your nanny." She smiled.
"You won't be here for long. You belong with Justin." I reminded her.
After tomorrow Justin would be Alpha of Imperial. Bre would soon be a Luna. I bet years ago she never imagined that she would become a Luna. Truth be told, years ago I myself didn't imagine ever becoming Luna.
Bre and I had talked about this a couple times. She felt nervous about having others look up to her. Let's just say she wasn't always a saint, especially when it came to guys. She told me Justin went ballistic when he found that out but still forgave her.
"I know and I can't wait until I'm with him again." She grinned. "I know you're doing this for you but I appreciate what your doing."

"I'm doing it for everyone's sake." I said.
"You have a good heart."
With a sigh she carried my little Elle out if the kitchen. I got started on making the sauce for the pasta. Once I was finished I made sure that everything was kept warm.
I felt arms wrap around my waist though my wolf had already sensed him. I leaned my head back on his shoulder and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I smiled and turned in his arms. My arms wrapped around his neck and I stood on my toes to give him a kiss.
"Something smells absolutely alluring and it's not the food." Shayne said.
"Oh hush." I said slapping his chest playfully. "Bre should be ready with Eleanor. Take a shower, get dressed and go to your mothers. I won't be ready until seven so don't you dare come a single minute early."
"Yes ma'am." Shayne said.
Shayne walked out if the kitchen and I heard him head upstairs. I took out a jar to make some watermelon water. I started cutting up the watermelon we had sitting in the refrigerator for three days now. It was time to put it to a good use.
Once I had all of the pieces chopped I placed them in the blender and added a bit of water. I was glad I didn't have to add any extra ingredients. The water was sweet and refreshing.
I felt nervous about tonight and I didn't want to hurt Shayne. But I also wasn't going to let him stop me from doing this. It was me who had to end this stupid thing. I had to be strong.
"I'm leaving." Shayne announced an hour later.
I turned and looked at Shayne. He looked absolutely amazing. He had dark jeans on and a navy blue buttoned up shirt. His hair was stiles up and he was freshly shaved.

"I love you." I said smiling.
He had Elle's car seat at his feet. She was sound asleep like always. I smiled at them and quickly pulled out my phone to snap a picture.
"Remember what I said. Not a minute early." I reminded Shayne as he headed out the door.
Once finishing everything in the kitchen I mind linked with everyone to steer clear of the pack house. They already knew but I didn't want them picking at the food or drinking the water I made.
I went to my room and picked out a white sundress I bought for this occasion. The dress was fitted with an open back that dipped down low. When I tried it on it looked absolutely perfect.
I started up the shower and and soon the steam filled up the room. I stepped in and felt relaxed against the warm water on my skin.
I stepped out of the shower and wrapped it around myself. I stopped in front if the foggy mirror and wiped it with my hand. The girl looking back at me was now different. I had changed a lot on the outside and on the inside.
My brown eyes were wide and my wavy hair had grown over the last couple of months. I had small bags under my eyes from the lack of sleep. The small amount of freckles I had coating my cheeks were more visible without the make up.
I sighed and went to get my make up bag. I started on drying my long hair and then applied light makeup on. I brushed out my curls and left it down.
By the time six came along I was already slipping the white dress on. I slipped on black heels that strapped at the ankle. I looked at myself in the body mirror and I smiled at the way I looked. I looked beautiful. But I didn't feel that way.
"Sage?"
Justin answered the phone on the second ring. My hands were cold and they were shaking. I felt nervous and it took me ten minutes to try to calm down my heart rate.
"Let me speak to Rider."
"Give me a sec."
I heard shuffling on the other end. I could hear Justin telling Rider I was waiting in the line. Almost immediately he answered the phone.
"Sage, I'm so happy-"
"Cut the crap." I said cutting him off. "I've decided."
"Is that so?" He said sounding amused.
"I'll be ready tomorrow night."
"Excellent!"
I could practically see the gloat on his face. This was what he wanted since he found me here at Night Shade. He wanted to take everything away from me just like he had when I was part of his pack.
"I want you here as soon as you can. I'd prefer you be here now if you've decided."
"I'll be there tomorrow."
"I want you here-"
"Please, just let me say goodbye to my family."
"You have until tonight to say goodbye to them. If you're not in my territory by morning then I'll personally go and get you."
"I'll be there." I said. "I promise."
"Tomorrow you will be mine." Rider said in a low voice. "I will have you at any cost."
