《Unforgivable ✔️》Chapter 11

"Shayne," I said whining.
I swatted Shayne's hands off of my waist as I tried to compose myself. I smoothed out the red dress I had picked out to wear this Saturday. Shayne and I had agreed that I would be presented to the pack on Saturday the week before Alpha Jace would come to visit.
Shayne had informed me several times that Jace seemed urgent on coming. He knew that Shayne had found me and he didn't like the way he sounded when he spoke with him. He seemed too eager to meet me which didn't settle too well with Shayne.
Shayne had been reluctant to let me wear a dress for Saturday. We were at an outlet mall and I was trying on different dresses. Shayne seemed to like the dress that I had on that came up mid-thigh. It hugged my body and shaped the few curves that I had.
As soon as I had stepped out of the changing room Shayne's eyes had grown dark. A low growl left his lips and he was at my side in less than a second. I looked around to make sure no one was looking at us. Humans and wolves usually shopped here, according to Sam, and were sometimes oblivious to us wolves. I didn't want them freaking out because of Shayne's carelessness.
I spotted a few she-wolves that saw me and smiled brightly. Most of the pack hadn't seen me and I had a couple of people following us around. Shayne explained that it was natural that they felt drawn to me. He said that it comforted them being in my presence. I smiled at the girls who starred at us and they giggled as they quickly walked away.
Shayne had then proceeded to crash his warm lips to mine. I couldn't help leaning into him and melting in his arms. I had to put a stop to our moment when Shayne tried to slide my dress even further up. He gave me a goofy smile and continued on kissing me.
"You're no fun," Shayne said.
"Shay, we're in a public place." I pointed out. "People might be looking."
Shayne growled and lightly pushed me into the dressing room. He closed the curtain and pushed me against the weak wall. A growl left his lips and he pressed himself against me. I groaned when he started kissing down my neck.
"You are impossible." I said.
Shayne had been tempting me for the past couple of days. I knew he wanted to mate with me with the way he would touch me but I wasn't ready. Of course I wanted to be with Shayne especially if he touched me the way he always did. But I was terrified.
What would happen once we have been mated? I would be his and he would be mine. What if he finds out I killed his sister? The rejection will be more painful than if we weren't mated. I don't think I would be able to handle pain like that.

"Only I can see you in this," Shayne said.
"I won't get it," I sighed tilting my head back so he would have more access to my neck.
"No, you should get it." Shayne urged, running the rip of his nose along my jaw line.
"Nope," I said pushing him away. "I don't think I will."
Shayne groaned and let me push him off of me. He was frowning at me as I started reaching for another dress to try on. This dress was a peach color that complemented my tan skin. I knew Shayne wouldn't mind it as much through. It was nice, simple and I bet it looked good on me.
"Why must you be so stubborn, Sage?"
"Get out so I can change."
"Nope," He said. "I don't think I will."
I turned and gave him a flat look for throwing my words back at me. I shoved him out of the dressing room and closed the curtain. I could hear Shayne chuckling on the other side of the curtain. I made sure to change quickly so he wouldn't have to see more than he needed to.
"I was serious though," Shayne said while I changed. "you should get the dress. It looks nice on you but of course you can only wear it for me."
I rolled my eyes as I stuck my head through the top of the dress and let it slide down my body. The dress came up about two inches above my knee. The dress had a heart shaped top and it hugged my breasts tightly. The dress was tight down to just below my rib cage and then it flowed down almost to my knees.
I stepped out of the dressing room and Shayne was still talking. I stepped in front of him and his eyes roamed me. I could see the darkening in his eyes that he liked it. Maybe he wouldn't let me wear this one either. I had been trying on many different dresses that I was starting to get extremely annoyed.
"You look beautiful." Shayne said. "Now let's find something to cover those pretty shoulders of yours."
I couldn't help but laugh and roll my eyes. Shayne was extremely possessive of me. He didn't want any male wolves looking at me.
"Shayne, it's going to be hot and humid outside." I whined. "I don't need to wear anything else."
"At least get one of those fancy scarfs to cover your...breasts." Shayne looked down at my chest.
"I look fine." I frowned.
"Hey, guys, Sage, what do you think about-" Jake popped out of nowhere and stood frozen when he saw me. "I hope you're buying something that goes over that."
"Thank you," Shayne grinned at Jake.
"I can't believe this." I said throwing up my hands. "I am twenty-one, I do not need to be told what to wear. I am getting this dress and nothing else."

"It doesn't matter what age you are." Jake said shaking his head. "You're still a baby and I'm not letting anyone see you like that."
"Even your brother has reason." Shayne said.
"You two are unbelievable." I scoffed "If you won't let me get this dress then I'm wearing the red one."
Shayne growled and Jake looked at me confused.
"What red dress?" Jake asked.
"Fine, but I don't like it." Shayne said crossing his arms.
"You just said I looked beautiful!"
"You always do." He admitted.
I rolled my eyes and stormed inside the changing room. I didn't even bother to give Jake my advice over the latest obsessions he had over Raglan Henley Shirts. The only reason he liked them was because it made him look even more muscular and it make girls gawk at him.
I changed into my jeans and my tank top that Shayne had also thrown a fuss about. According to him it showed too much skin. I left the red dress in the changing room along with the many others I had tried on and took the peach one.
I raised a brow when Jake was asking Shayne which shirt he thought girls would melt over. Shayne shook head at him but picked one of the shirts Jake was holding up. I swear he acted like such a child at times.
"I'll go pay." I said. "You both continue with the bromance ya'll have going on."
Shayne and Jake both started to protest about their liking they had for each other. In the past few days Jake had done everything possible to distract him from me. Shayne still insisted I tell him who was after me but I refused. Jake had reluctantly offered to keep Shayne distracted.
In the time Jake had spent with Shayne he had actually admitted he wasn't a bad guy. He said that Shayne cared a lot for his pack and seemed to do everything to make them safe and comfortable. He also said that he was love struck over me like a puppy. Jake liked Shayne and that made me happy but annoyed all at the same time.
"Ew, that's gross." Jake said making a disgusted face.
"You guys don't have to hide it." I teased. "Shayne, if you leave me for Jake then I completely understand. No hard feelings."
"I would never leave you," Shayne grimaced.
I went up to the cashier to pay for the dress I had picked out. I could sense that the boy sending me flirty looks. I was thankful that Shayne wasn't here or else he'd be threatening to rip the poor boys head off.
"That will be twenty-five sixty." He said smiling brightly at me.
I looked at his name tag that read James. I smiled at James as I patiently waited for him to give me my change. I assumed Shayne and Jake were going over the shirts Jake picked out.
"I haven't seen you around here." James said.
"Yeah, I just moved into town about a couple weeks ago." I said shrugging.
"You should come here more often. It's really nice in the summer and people are really nice. You should try the pretzel stand further down."
James continued to talk as he took his sweet time folding my dress neatly and placing it in the bag. I was starting to feel a bit uncomfortable with him flirting with me.
"I will do that," I said.
"This is a really nice color dress." James said placing the dress in the bag. "I imagine it looks really nice on you."
I felt my cheeks heat up a bit and I suddenly wished that Shayne was here. I took my bag from him and headed to the men's section to look for Shayne. I found my mate leaning against the wall by the men's dressing room. I looked back and I caught James flashing me a smile with a wink.
"Are you alright?" Shayne asked when I reached him.
"Me? Yeah, why?" I asked trying to sound casual.
"You look...flustered" Shayne said. "Why did you take so long?"
"I-nothing." I said. "I was waiting for the cashier to break a roll of tens."
When I reached Shayne he wrapped his arms around me possessively and kissed me hard. It was the kind of kiss that immediately made me respond and melt into him. It was the kind that made me forget we were in a public place. The kind that made me want to not wait any longer to mate with him.
"Gross."
I jumped and took a step back when I hear Jake's voice. He was wearing his V neck T-shirt and his dark jeans. His hair had grown a bit since we've been here and fell to his eyes. I was going to comment on it when Shayne growled and pushed me behind him. Jake was right next to me and roamed the store for danger.
Shayne grabbed my hand and I was suddenly being dragged out of the store. James gave me a confused look when he saw me dragged away. Outside of the store people gave us weird looks but Shayne didn't seem to care. I noticed Chase and Sam making their way to us.
"We have trackers on the Rogue's trail." Chase said. "Alex is with them. She won't get very far."
"What's going on?" I asked.
Shayne grabbed my arm and we started walking to his dark blue mustang. We were about to reach it when I heard Jake's name being called out. We all turned around and I couldn't help the growl that left my lips. I thought I would never see that all too familiar face ever again but she was here in the flesh.
