《Unforgivable ✔️》Chapter 4

I woke up the next morning with a small head ache. I had been crying all night and through the whole night Shayne stayed away. It made me a bit sad that he didn't come to comfort me ,but what did I expect? I had been pushing him away and wishing he wasn't my mate for the past four days.

I was a bit disoriented when I found myself on the bed. The blankets were tightly tucked around me and I had no doubt that Shayne had done it. I smiled at the small gesture but it soon disappeared.

Last night I had my chance to escape and Shayne was willing to let me go. I had lost that chance because I gave into what my wolf wanted.

There was a soft knock on the door and I didn't even get a chance to answer before Shayne was already stepping inside the room. He looked wide awake and I had to say he looked too good. Shayne looked freshly showered and all he had on were dark blue jeans that hung low on his hips. I could still see small drops of water that ran down from his dripping wet hair to his bare chest.

"I just came to grab a shirt." He said, getting my attention.

I shook my head at him because I knew he was doing it on purpose. I bet he had clothes in the spare room he had been staying in. My wolf was getting excited at the sight of him. I didn't say anything to Shayne so he walked into his closet.

When Shayne stepped out he had a white-yet to be buttoned up- shirt. My eyes continued to travel over his body without any control. He had a nice toned figure. Of course he looked good and in shape. Aloha's had extreme training because of their titles.

"Did you sleep well?" He asked.

My eyes snapped to his and I could see that his had darkened. I felt a small shiver run down my spine and I felt goosebumps forming on my arms. I wrapped the covers tightly around me and just nodded. Shayne was buttoning up his shirt and kept his eyes on me.

"Are you okay?" He asked, knowing very well that I wasn't. All I wanted to do was pull him into bed and have my way with him.

"I-I'm kinda hungry." I said quietly.

Shayne's eyes seemed to grow darker and I tried to swallow the big lump in my throat. My wolf was pasting back and forth calling out to her mate. She wanted to have Shayne and I did too, but not under these circumstances.

"Yeah... me too." He said a little breathlessly.

I felt like this whole time my heart was beating wildly and my body was on fire. I knew mostly it was my wolf because I personally had no desire to mate with Shayne at the moment....at the moment. My wolf was very much attracted to Shayne but I mostly thought it was the bond.

"Did you want to get something to eat?" He asked.

"N-no I kind of just want to stay here for a bit." I said. "I'll eat later."

Shayne frowned at me and worked on the last button of his shirt. I looked away and felt a bit awkward. I was still wearing the same clothes I had been wearing the night before.

"I'll have someone bring you something to eat." He said.

"No, that's fine. I'll eat later."

"Sage, either you eat now or I'll have someone bring you something to eat."

"I don't want to be a bother and I rather shower first." I said.

"You can shower after."

I nodded not wanting to argue with him, and slowly stood up from the bed. I was about to make my way out of the room but Shayne pulled me back. I stumbled back and bumped into his chest. I looked up at him and glared.

"You aren't going downstairs like that." He said.

"Like what?" I asked, looking down at my clothes.

"Shorts and a tank top," Shayne shook his head. "my men are down there."

I rolled my eyes. I had been wearing the same thing yesterday and he hadn't commented on it. But Shayne hadn't seen what I was wearing before he left for the day.

Whil I had been staying here Shayne had someone bring me clothes. They were mostly girly stuff like long dresses that came down just below the knee or long sleeve shirts to wear with jeans. I still had my clothes I bought at the outlet and usually chose to wear that instead. Shayne didn't like that one bit.

This time when I got dressed I wore long sweat pants and a simple t-shirt. I didn't want to wear anything else if I was just going to shower later. I walked out of the closet and saw Shayne was still waiting for me. He frowned when I stepped out.

"What now?" I asked crossing my arms over my chest.

"Nothing."

We walked side by side to the kitchen in silence. I wanted to reach out for him but I held back. I cursed at my wolf for being so clingy already.

When we walked into the kitchen there was a lot of chatter. I saw Chase, Alex, and Sam sitting at the island eating cereal. As soon as they saw me and realized I was there everything went quiet. Alex was looking at me as if I had three heads. The rest of the boys just looked at me as if I were some strange creature out of its natural habitat. One growl from Shayne and they all looked away. I looked up at Shayne and he gave me an apologetic look.

I didn't blame the guys for giving me weird looks. The only time they saw me was when I was yelling at Shayne and trying to run away from them. I was definitely the worse future Luna in the entire world. I didn't even want to be a Luna let alone be in a pack.

I scanned the refrigerator and the pantry to try to find something good to eat. I took out eggs, bacon and a small roll of cinnamon buns. I started making scrambled eggs and started frying the bacon. Everyone had their eyes on me but I completely ignored them. I popped a couple of cinnamon rolls in the oven and made sure there were enough for everyone.

It took me about thirty minutes to make all of the food. Once I finished with the bacon strips I placed everything on the island. The boys just continued to stare at me and I just put my head down and walked away. I felt like I was using food as a way to apologize for something I didn't do. Of course I wasn't going to apologize for being me, I was just making food to be nice. I wasn't all that bad and bratty like they probably thought I was.

"She cooks." Sam was the first to break the silence.

"She can also clean, hunt, fight, and she has a pretty nasty bite." I narrowed my eyes at him. "I might have been a rogue but I do have manners."

"She has attitude too." Alex muttered.

Shayne glared at Alex who just shrugged. I knew Alex wasn't very fond of me and he didn't hide it either. Usually when he was around we would constantly bicker and Shayne would get mad at him. Shayne didn't really like taking things lightly when it came to someone talking to me in a way he didn't approve of.

"Cinnamon buns anyone?" I asked.

"I'll take one." Sam said.

Sam was the only one who seemed to take advantage of the food in front of him. Shayne gave me a thoughtful look and he began to grab some of the food I prepared. I grabbed a small plate and placed some bacon for myself. I wasn't really all that hungry anymore as I watched everyone begin to eat. There were other guys there that I assumed were guards that Shayne always had with him. All three of them had been staring at me as if not knowing how to act around me.

Seeing them all laughing together and interacting with one another triggered something inside of me. I wanted to be like that so badly. I used to be like that when I belonged to a pack. I didn't belong anywhere anymore and I deserved that I guess. As I finished eating the few bacon strips I started cleaning up all of the dirty dishes.

The whole time I noticed Shayne's eyes on me. I didn't know why he kept staring at me like a creep. Once I was done with the dishes I cleaned up around the kitchen. Mostly I was trying to take out my boredom. I knew Shayne would have to leave soon and I would be left alone with people who didn't like me. I didn't really mind but it made me feel a bit lonely.

I didn't really have a problem being alone since I've been a rouge for almost five years. But my wolf wasn't liking the whole alone thing anymore. My wolf always wanted to be around Shayne and I had to admit it was a bit more comforting. I was about to make my way back to the room when Shayne spoke up.

"That's it?" Shayne asked.

"What?" I paused looking confused.

"You're not going to eat anything else?" He asked.

"I'm not hungry." I shrugged.

"Eat more." He said.

"I told you I'm not hungry."

"You have to eat more than a little bit of bacon." Shayne said walking over to me. "If you don't eat you'll get sick."

"I've been fine on my own for years without having to be babied." I snapped. "I've survived without anyone taking care of me and I certainly don't need to start now."

Everyone had been quiet and they just stared at us. I really didn't want to argue with Shayne today but I had no problem fighting back if that's what he was looking for. My wolf was stirring inside me begging me not to upset Shayne. She wanted to please him in any way that she possibly could.

"I'll eat later when I'm hungry."

Without another word I walked up the stairs to the room. I grabbed some clothes and stepped in the bathroom. I let the warm water run down my back to relax my muscles. After taking a long hour shower I stepped out and changed into the small dress.

I spend most of my day in the room just looking out of the window. I knew Sam and Chase were downstairs making sure I wouldn't escape. I wasn't planning on running away and I was now sure that it wouldn't help the situation.

I didn't know how long I had been starring out the window at the falling rain. I didn't try asking to go out since I knew Chase and Sam wouldn't let me out. I knew Shayne would probably be paranoid about me trying to escape again. Sam came to check on me once in a while because he said I was being too quiet.

I was deep in thought when Shayne startled me by screaming my name. I blinked a couple of times and then gave him a small smile. I hadn't realized he was standing there looking at me. I looked over at the clock by the night stand and saw it was a bit after one. I remembered that I hadn't eaten anything and honestly I wasn't that hungry.

"You're back early." I said.

"Are you okay?" He asked.

"Yes, for the most part."

"Sam and Chase said you haven't left the room." Shayne looked worried.

"I knew they wouldn't let me go outside to run." I shrugged.

"You might try running away." Shayne said.

"I know."

"You know?" He asked confused.

"I knew you weren't going to let me out of the house so I just decided to stay in here." I said as I turned my attention back out the window.

"Why?"

"Why what?"

"Why are you acting....weird."

I turned to look at Shayne and raised a brow. I guess I had been acting different. I tried not to argue with Shayne a lot today. I was tired and I did t want to make things worse than they already were. It wouldn't get me anywhere and it wouldn't give me anything but head aches.

"This is what you wanted isn't it?" I asked. "You want to keep me here even if I don't want to be here. I told you that I wouldn't run away. I'm not being weird and I'm not doing anything bad."

"Why are you being like this?" He questioned.

"You want to keep me here even when I told you I didn't want to be. I'm not arguing with you about it anymore. I'm done, Shayne. Just-done."
