The next morning I woke up in Adrians bed alone. I got up, went to the bathroom to get myself together assuming he was just down stairs. I threw on some light denim jeans and a fitted black tee shirt.

I made my way downstairs to check on him, seeing if he was feeling any better. I looked around calling for him and got no response. I noticed outside his car was gone. I went upstairs to get my phone. I called, he picked up on the third ring.

"Hello." He spoke low.

"Hey what's going on, you just left without saying anything?"

"Yeah." He replied dryly.

"Where are you?"

"I'm not too far." He answered sort of curt.

"Babe that doesn't answer my question."

"Rai, I don't feel like this right now. I'll talk to you later ok?" He huffed.

"Ok, —I see that you need more time to yourself. That's fine." I treaded lightly.

"Yep."

"Ok well call me later. I'll be here at your place."

The line quieted.

"You still there?" I asked.

"Just leave me alone for a minute, please. I need time, I'll hit you up whenever." He slightly yelled.

"Really Adrian? How do you get to do this?" I questioned.

"Do what?" He got louder sounding irritated.

"Bye." I abruptly ended the call.

This just pissed me off. I get he's going through stuff and I hate that all of this happened but he doesn't have to treat me like this. First he walked off last night and then me waking up and he's not there. Now this, when I call he gives me his ass to kiss. I understand this might be his way of dealing and he might not be thinking clearly but dang.

I dialed Sienna, she was at her parents house.

"Hey Rai."

"Hey can you come get me?" I hurried up and asked.

"Where you at? What's wrong?"

"I'm at Adrians, can you just come?"

"Yeah sure I'm about to leave now." She started shifting things around.

"Ok thank you Sie."

"No problem."

We hung up, I went to go get some of my stuff from upstairs. He's never done this before. We usually get through everything together. Why is he treating me like this?

I gathered a few of my things by the door and waited on Sienna, she got there about thirty minutes later. I walked out of the house at the same time she pulled in.

"Hey, whats going on? Where is Adrian?" She asked while getting out of the car.

"I don't know, I just need to leave." I mumbled.

She sighed. "Alright lets go. Where to?"

"We can go to your house." I opened the door to Siennas Tesla, placing my bags inside. We had matching vehicles, just in different colors.

I didn't want anybody other than Sienna in my business with Adrian. That's why I decided to go to her house until I go back to DC. Which was in three days. I had more plans with Adrian but I'll just cancel them and hang with my best friend.

I gave Sienna the play by play during the ride to her house. I don't mind discussing things with her because she's not biased. Plus she doesn't judge and it's just easy.

We got to her house, her dad came out to help with my bags.

"Hey Rai, how have you been?" He asked.

"Hi Mr. Grant, I'm ok, and thank you. How are you?"

"Oh you know, everything's, everything this way. I'm ok."

We all walked in the house, Mrs. Grant came and hugged me.

"Hey Rai Rai, hows school?" She greeted me.

"It's a lot easier now that I have my little routine and the first year's over with. This year is going to be a lot easier."

"That's good, I know it can get tough. Let us know if you need anything. I got the guest room all ready for you. Even though I know you'll be with Sienna." Her mom replied.

"You already know." Sienna added.

"We're about to head out if y'all need anything you know how to reach us. —Come on babymomma."

We giggled at Mrs. Grant scrunching up her face as she walked over to Mr. Grant.

"Bye daddy, bye mom." Sienna and I waved as they headed out the front door.

"Are you hungry?" She quickly asked.

"Starving."

"Ok, come on I'll whip us up some breakfast real quick."

We went in to the kitchen, I continued to explain to her what happened between Adrian and I. We were now seated eating some french toast and eggs with creme fraiche.

"Don't start assuming nothing Rai. Y'all have been nothing but good to each other. Take sometime and cool off, give him time. He's dealing with a lot with his family."

"I just don't understand why though, it's like he's purposely pushing me away. Which is odd because ever since he told me about his father cheating we've been closer than ever."

"He's opened up and told me about everything and how he felt about it. I don't push him to say anything. I know how hard it can be dealing with personal stuff." I added and she nodded.

"Well, just chill out here. Y'all can deal with this later." She looked at me and I nodded.

We finished eating then cleaned up. We hung around her house the rest of the day. I've been tempted to call Adrian all day. I didn't even receive one call from him.

It was now a little after eleven. Sienna and I was up trying different eyeshadows pallets. Just making small talk, she's been trying to get my mind off of him but it's not working.

After about another hour later we both decided to call it a night. We fell asleep with different shades and brands of make up on our faces. We were a mess.

The next morning right before the sun came up I was awakened by my phone ringing, non stop. I saw it was Adrian, he called me a few times.

Well, well, well he finally decided to reach out to me. I shouldn't answer.

"Hello." I answered.

"Hey, where are you?" He panicked.

"I'm not far." I mimicked him.

"I'm sorry."

I was silent.

"Rai, I'm really, really sorry. I pushed you away and shut you out. I'm sorry I took my anger out on you."

I remained my silence.

"I don't know why I did that. I'm just frustrated. After I had that talk with my dad, it was just too much. He said they're getting a divorce. That's what the counseling had been for, to help get through the divorce process. Mama lied to me saying they were still figuring things out and that the counseling was working."

He continued. "I wanted him to fight for my mama, they've been together my whole life. —Then last night I thought about it and now I just want her to be happy."

Now we were both quiet.

"Hello?"

"I gotta go Adrian." I spoke, tearing up a bit.

"Baby, I said I'm sorry." He pleaded.

"I'll talk to you later." I replied trying to keep my voice from cracking.

"Where are you?"

"It doesn't matter where I am, just focus on feeling better. Bye." I stated, gathering my feelings. I don't like how he can just stop talking to me when things get rough. It's like the security in our relationship was ripped away, instantly.

"Raina, don't hang up." He begged.

I remained on the line, I didn't want to be rude. Sienna woke up, she sat up next to me.

"You're not saying anything." I stated in an uncaring manner.

"I just want to know where you are so I can make this up to you."

I shook my head as if he could see me. "This, —right now doesn't feel right."

"What do you mean?"

"You treating me the way you did all of a sudden and then just like that you left me alone. How do you get to do that to me? I'm sorry your parents are going through what they're going through. You can't just switch up and start treating me differently. What was I suppose to do wait around until you felt like speaking to me? After you yelled at me?" I felt a lump forming in my throat.

"I know and you're right. I acted out and I totally disregarded you and disrespected you. That was selfish."

"Where were you yesterday, where did you go?" I questioned.

"I put you in the bed, then went to a bar. I had a few drinks and fell asleep in the car after. You called the next morning which woke me up. I was still in a shitty mood. When I finally got home around three AM I didn't see you. I worked up the courage to call you and after a countless amount of attempts, here we are."

I paused. "This isn't like you to do this."

"I know baby." He exhaled.

I shook my head repeatedly. As tears rolled down my face and my throat burned.

"I'm going to fix this Munch. I know you had some other stuff planned for us and I ruined it."

"It's not about the plans, that stuff doesn't matter. If my man is hurting then that's where my attention is, to try to help you through whatever. Which is what I was trying to do." I stated, trying to hide the fact that I was now crying uncontrollably.

"Please tell me where you are."He repeated.

I paused, for some reason what he was saying to me wasn't enough. I still felt like I should be pissed. —So I took the petty route. "I should make you wait like you did me."

"Please don't."

I took another second, I was thinking I could make him feel like how I felt all night. I looked at Sienna with a smirk. I placed my index finger over my lips, gesturing for her not to speak. She furrowed her brows wondering what I was up to.

"I'm at my new man house because my old one ain't acting right." I said out of spite holding in my laugh looking at Sienna. She slowly shook her head. I quickly wiped my tear stained face.

"That's not even the least bit funny Rai, so you can hang it up with the jokes."

"You leaving me stranded left for dead isn't funny either." I retorted dramatically.

"Are you going to tell me Munch?"

"I just did, —and we had a good time too. We stayed up all night, yep I was so pissed at you last night I finally gave it up. It was amazing, him sliding in and out of me and I don't regret it." I gloated trying to throw on another layer of petty. I glanced over at Sienna. Her eyes were wide and her mouth formed an oh. Shit, too far.

He got quiet.

"Aight then." He mumbled giving in.

"Adrian, really?" I replied stunned at his reaction.

He was quiet again.

"Babe that was a joke. See ha ha you were suppose to just laugh it off." I waited for him to speak and got nothing.

I breathed out. "I'm sorry that was too far."

"Ima' let you go." He mumbled, then he hung up.

"Sie why didn't you stop me?" I panicked.

"Hell, I didn't know you were going to say all that." She raised her brows.

"I need to leave." We both agreed, we hopped up rushing to the bathrooms to get ready.

We quickly dressed. I grabbed my bags and headed out the door. Sienna took me back to Adrians house, I was nervous the entire ride. Last thing I want to do is play with his heart. I didn't think he would take what I said like that. I wasn't thinking, especially with him stressed already. In a lot of ways I guess I'm still new to this relationship stuff. I know I love him and I know my behavior was just unnecessary.

"Thanks Sie, Thank you for being here for me. Staying up and listening." I glanced at her while quickly gathering my stuff to get out of her car.

"No problem now go talk to your man."

"Ok, I love you.

"I love you too." We hugged, I waited until she drove around the roundabout before I fully went inside.

Walking through the house I found Adrian in his art room painting. The moment I walked in I caught his attention. He gently placed his paint brush down on the tray.

"I was with Sienna, we stayed up all night playing with makeup and being silly. I would never cheat on you, I'm sorry."

He stood up from in front of the easel and walked over in my direction.

"I know you wouldn't cheat on me, and I wouldn't cheat on you either. I just didn't like the joke, considering everything that's going on." He stood directly in front of me. "Just don't make jokes about you fucking somebody else."

I nodded, understanding exactly how he feels. I wouldn't like a joke like that either.

"I apologize again for shutting you out and getting loud with you. No matter what I should never do that." He grabbed my hands.

"I know you're dealing with a lot and you're stressed."

"That's no excuse and I won't let it happen again." He promised.

"It's over now. I just want to be back under you while you squeeze and massage my butt." I smiled.

He laughed a little while gazing at me, I started blushing.

"Mmm I missed you." He bent down to pick me up. He cupped and squeezed my butt. I wrapped my legs around him. He walked with me in his arms to the bedroom. I kissed him softly and tenderly.

"I missed you too." I whispered while burying my face into the crook of his neck.

He placed me on the bed then stripped me down to just my t shirts and underwear. He proceeded to do the same for himself. That left him in only his boxer briefs. This became a routine for us over the past few months.

We got under the covers getting comfortable, facing each other. Yes it's still morning, but this is all I want right now. I don't want to go anywhere or do much today. I just want to lay up with my man. We stayed in this position for a while very content.

"Oh and I found something in the closet. Earlier I saw a lot of your stuff was gone but you left three bags." He spoke softly rubbing small circles on my thigh, another habit of his. I knew exactly what bags he was referring to. I left them on purpose, after all I was pissed at him. I had bags filled with lingerie, edible panties, candles and some oils.

"Oh." I simply replied, his hand abruptly stopped rubbing on my thigh.

"What were you planning exactly?" He looked down at me eager to hear my answer.

"Just a little something." I innocently shrugged my shoulders.

"Something like what? You want me to guess?'

"No, I do not want you to guess."

"Ok then, so —I should just drop it?" He raised his brows.

I thought about it for a few second, my plan could still work. We can still do this, our time together isn't over yet. I've been wanting and craving this for some time now. I don't want to wait any longer. I just need him to leave so I can get to work. I've already waxed and exfoliated. I'm good to go.

This is it, finally I'm ready to make love to my man.

"I need you to leave, I can still do my surprise but you have to leave. Be back here around seven o' clock." I finally spoke.

He looked me over with a goofy smirk, he could barely contain how he felt. "Ok, say no more. I'll go run a few errands and then go shoot around with the squad."

He hopped up trying his best to hide his excitement. I watched him while he put his clothes back on.

"Stop smiling so much." I toyed with him.

He looked at me while blushing and chuckling at the same time. "Be quiet over there."

"I'll be thinking about you while you're gone." I stated in a more sultry tone while licking my lips. I smiled sheepishly.

His eyes met my lips. "Trust me, I'll be thinking about you too. Counting down. So I'll be back here seven o' clock sharp. —You need me to bring anything?"

"Nope, I'll have everything covered." I answered with confidence.

"You need me to bring some condoms?" He asked curiously, which for some reason made my eyes pop.

"You're supposed to act surprised and no I have those already. It's in the bag as well."

"I saw, and those are too tight Munch. I'll just bring some when I come." He informed. What the hell?

I got up and walked over to the closet and grabbed the big box of condoms. The box I proudly purchased on my own.

"I looked these up babe, these were standard and a popular sell." I turned the front of the box up so I could read it.

"They're too tight Munch, —trust me I know." He repeated while putting on his shoes. I got back down on the bed tossing the condoms to the side.

"Well damn." I mumbled making him raise a brow. Ok maybe I can just recant and change my mind about this whole thing. I've seen him naked, he is indeed very blessed.

Nah I'm not changing my mind. I want this. I'm ready.

"You still want to do this?" He looked at me before standing up.

"Yes, I've been preparing myself for this moment and I'm ready." I answered confidently.

"Ok." He leaned down on the bed and kissed me.

We said our goodbyes, he quickly left.

Ok first things first Group Chat. I called up Sienna, my roommate Nedra and my friend Aaron. I needed all the help I could get for this. I got everyone on the line.

"Ok, so I'm freaking out." I yelled into the phone.

"Everything's a go?" Sienna asked.

"Yes, I got him out of the house. Now I need to get everything cooked, and cleaned."

"Did you get the rose petals and the candles?" Aaron asked.

"Yes, I have all of that. I think I have everything here."

"Do you remember the tips we gave you?" Nedra asked.

"Yes, I remember everything with the banana. —Which I will save that tip for another time. I'm too nervous to do that. Oh and the scenery by the fireplace. The whole dropping my robe and picking it back up thing. —I'm nervous, I'm cooking all of his favorites. I need to go ahead and curl my hair so it could fall and be loose for later." I answered very serious and speedily trying to remember everything.

"Slow down Rai, you got this. You want me to come over and help you set up? Sienna offered.

"No, I think I can handle it. I want to do everything, it'll mean so much more."

"You got this, —I guess we'll see you when we see you." Aaron joked.

"Yeah, RIP sis." Sienna laughed.

"You're about to be O-U-T out, for at least a month. It was nice knowing you. I'll speak of nothing but great things about you while you're missing in action." Nedra added, they all laughed.

"It be your own people. Ya'll ain't shit. I don't even know why I called." I giggled.

"Bye girl we love you though." Sienna waving with the biggest grin on her face.

We all said our goodbyes. Then I got to work I want everything to be perfect. Here goes nothing, or should I say something. Pray for me.
