《Love You Despite |Complete ✅|》(10) Yo' Bored Ass

{Not Edited.}
I've been talking and texting Raina for about five months now. We've only seen each other a few times and it was never really intentional. I saw her on Sundays at church and after for dinner. I saw her on Mondays at the gym of course for shootarounds. I had one small run in with her. I was over hanging out with Mike, she was in the kitchen. Mike was down in the basement so we had a little moment. I gave her a much needed long hug and kissed her forehead.
It's not in my character to want to sneak behind his back like this. We plan to tell him soon, —hopefully. I'm not trying to go any further other than our phone conversations anyway. However I do want us to be able to go on dates so I can show her off. It's just not an option for us right now.
Sitting in my office I heard a knock at my door.
"Come in."
"Hey Mr. Adams you wanted to see me about the Trumans meeting?" My assistant Melanie asked looking up from the files she held.
She had on a yellow one piece, it clung to her skin. Her breast were on full display. She stared at me with a smirk on her face. I made sure to keep my eyes up, don't want her getting any ideas.
"Yes, I had a few questions regarding some of the numbers they listed. It's not on the proper form and the actual signatures needed are not all there."
"Can you have their team make the proper changes and also I wanted to look them over again with you. Just so we're clear of whats's needed." I added.
"Certainly sir." She agreed leaning forward towards my desk before taking a seat. Thankfully my desk was putting distance between us. She got me fucked up if she thinks her little charade is even the least appealing.
We went over the numbers, she started ranting on about nothing in particular, that lead to her bringing up her family.

My phone buzzed, Raina texted and I smiled texting her back.
"Wow someone's got you all happy, and smiling. I know that look anywhere." Melanie spoke trying to get my attention.
"I'm sorry what did you say?" I asked, pretending I didn't hear her.
"I said you're happy, you're phone has you smiling."
"Yep." I finally looked up from my phone.
"Well she's a lucky woman." She pursed her lips with a hint of jealousy, that I caught immediately.
"Don't really believe in luck but we're blessed." I brought my attention back to my phone. Melanie remained seated staring a hole in my forehead.
I received another text.
3:47PM
BeautifulOne: You're so silly, but I seriously can't take sitting beside him. His breath is so bad.
2:47PM
Me: Babe stop talking about people and stop texting me. You're in class. Lol
2:49PM
BeautifulOne: It's almost over, bells about to ring in a few mins. You busy?
2:50PM
Me: I'm never that busy. Take yo' bored ass. Lol
"I didn't even realized you were seeing someone." Melanie spoke clearing her throat.
"I didn't know it was your business to know." I retorted still looking at my phone, wondering why she still in my office.
"Well— if there is nothing else, I need to get back out to my desk."
"Ok, and thanks for the follow up." I glanced up from my phone.
She nodded leaving out shutting the door behind. I laughed a little to myself.
I was about ready to head out for the day but I figured I'd go up to see my dad. I'll probably grab dinner while I'm out and see if I can maybe FaceTime Raina.
I've learned so much about this girl in these past five months. I still know not to press her with certain subjects like her time spent in foster homes or anything about her time before moving to Atlanta. Whatever she's not telling me I understand, it's not for me to know right now. I'm confident she'll tell me with time. I'm cool with it. I know everything else down to her favorite color, her favorite poet.

She has this play she's directing and starring in this week. This is her final performance because she's about to graduate early, in a few weeks. She want me to come and watch her do her thing. It's going to be kind of hard but I already have a plan in motion.
Walking out of my office Melanie stood up at her desk for my attention.
"Hey I didn't mean to pry, I just got comfortable around you talking about my family stuff. It came natural to me to ask about you."
"It's fine."
She stared at me like she needed something else. So I asked, "Anything else?"
"Yeah did you eat yet, I noticed you haven't?" She asked curiously smiling.
"I'm about to grab something now on my way home. You can go ahead and finish up we're done for the day." I told her as I was about to walk away.
I hope you're not thinking about asking me to dinner, hell no.
"Ok, do you think I could maybe catch a ride with you? My car is getting detailed. I'm picking it up in the morning." She asked hopeful.
Not really wanting to, I agreed. "Sure, let me go and talk to my dad first, you can head down to the lounge and wait for me."
"Thank you." She smiled.
"No problem, just make sure I get a heads up next time something happens."
She quickly nodded, I walked off toward my dads office upstairs, knocked on his door. His assistant told me I could head straight back.
"Hey son."
"Hey pops you have a minute?"
"Yeah what's going on something fell through?" He shuffled the paperwork in front of him.
"No, it's nothing work-related."
"Sit down, talk to me." He gestured for me to sit and I did.
I thought for a moment then looked at him nervously. "I've been talking to this girl, we've sort of hit it off. She's beautiful, smart and ambitious. We talk everyday. She makes me happy."
"This is good news right? You don't sound too happy?" He quizzed sensing my nervous energy.
"It's complicated and I can't really talk about it. I can't say who or any details."
"Why?" He leaned back in his chair.
I hesitantly answered. "I don't know why I brought this up, —please don't tell mama. You know how she'll try to pry it out of me."
"I won't and son there is no need to rush with pursuing her, especially if you can't even talk about her."
"You're right. —What's the number to your car service? My assistant need a ride home."
He scrolled through his phone. "Here and is this secret girl your assistant?"
"No, definitely not her." I grabbed the number from him. "Thanks."
"No problem and I'm here if you want to talk more about this mystery girl you're seeing."
"Cool, love you pops, or should I Mr. GQ. That suit clean." I stood up checking out his ensemble.
He dusted him self off, "It's new and no I'm not telling you where I got it from. —I love you too son." We shared a laughed.
"Petty." I shook my head smiling then I walked out.
I called the car service and had them pick up Melanie. She was irritated but I wasn't about to get caught up in nothing. It wasn't appropriate since I know she's in to me.

Children of Danu, People of Skill Book 1. (LitRPG/Gamelit)
Hi all, this is my first attempt at fiction ever. I'm sure it's awful, first attempts at new things usually are. Hopefully you can find something you like in it. I had a great deal of fun writing it. It's a basic Litrpg/Game, God sends you to a new world to do their bidding plot. I Know I did too much telling and not enough showing. I'm working on that. The underlying system is one haven't seen or done much. a full Point Buy system, like Gurps, Champions or the Hero system. After writing it a while, I see why folks don't do it. The record keeping is tedious. And once you start doing math in subsequent chapters, you can't go back and add more action, just because you dread redoing all the math. I've got about 80k words written in two "books" on the novel so far. I'm going to edit chapters and try to drop a couple a week till it's finished. Hopefully that will work for folks. I need to punch up the amount of action. I'll be working on that as well. Thanks, Cal-P.S> The cover art is one of the two CIrce Paintings By Waterhouse.

Cars: Next Generation- The Story of Alex
Alex was always a little...sour...with her race car dad, the racer that everyone has known and loved since what felt like forever--at least, according to Alex-- Lightning McQueen. For the past few years, she's never wanted anything more than for her charismatic (and over-enthusiastic) father to stop nagging about wanting her to join the racing leagues, but in a twist of fate, Alex decides to join secretly, going under the name "Storm Swift", racer number #22. The secret is kept between Sally, Alex, and the known next-gen. racer, Jackson Storm, who makes a deal with Alex to keep the secret, as long as she agrees to keep a relationship with him, if only as a way for Jackson to gain more publicity than he already has, as a new generation racer. What will happen? What if the secret gets out? Find out what happens in the story of the next generation, filled with your favorite characters, such as Lightning, Sally, Jackson, Cruz, and the new girl on the track! ---- Note- Though the events in this story deal around the plot of Cars 3, please remember that this is only a fanfiction that I created for your enjoyment! Happy Reading! -I.K.
