《Politics Today》Values, Morals and Relativism

In recent decades, college students (notably millenials) have been thaught that no moral or value is superior to another. I beg to differ.
This idea that values are relative comes from the realisation that not every society has the same idea of right and wrong. Some people's response to that realisation was that there is no real right and wrong. And so was born relativism.
The ancient Greeks when confronted with the same reality had a different answer; philosophy. Instead of saying "none are true", Socrates and other ancient Greeks asked "which are true". They then proceeded to sit and think about which values and morals are more in line with human nature. That approach that the Greeks took, in my opinion, is way better.
A society simply cannot exist without some kind of moral code or common values. Different societies evolved differently based on different values and different definitions of right and wrong. Some of these societies have become more successful than others thanks to their better values. Those values were those of the Greek philosophers which were adopted around the western world. Philosophy made the West successful, not relativism.
I don't think that tolerance is the way to go. I believe that a good sense of right and wrong is the way to go. You shouldn't be intolerant either but there are limits. I've seen a lot if people defend Islam as a "religion of peace". I respect Muslims, but I don't consider Islam a religion of peace.
Think about it, Jesus was a Jew that preached for mercy and acceptance. Muhammad was a warlord that killed hundreds and married the daughters of those he killed. The point is Islam is not a religion of peace.
And yet, people defend inhuman practices in the Middle East saying their values are equal to ours.
.
Some values are better than others, there is such a thing as right and wrong and tolerance isn't the ultimate virtue.

Naruto Retsuden: Toru
[SI/OC Third Shinobi War]Well fought and well done. All of us fight as one. It took me three years to be able to properly read the faded out kanji of the flimsy poster that I keep in my back pocket. The illustration is colourful, bright reds and yellows. Colours that would definitely catch the attention of a child. The poster was carefully placed along the walls and fences of my village, level with the height of a four year old. I thought enlisting to become a Shinobi was a heroic deed, something I needed to do to save my family from poverty and to serve my country at the cusp of war. Then I graduated early to be deployed to the front lines.I am sadly and sorely mistaken. Warnings:Slow-burnNO OP-NESSRomance? What romance?
