《The Untold Truth (Kakashi's Little Brother) *COMPLETED*》Chapter 1: My New Team
Advertisement
I was walking the streets of Konoha heading towards the academy with my best friend Sasuke. I'm glad he never pushed me away like he did with the people around him. Even though he acts way different than he was when we were kids, I stayed by his side and supported him, but I secretly thought it was a horrid thing to try and kill your brother despite what he did. I mean he spared Sasuke, his little brother, I think there is some meaning behind it, but I won't go too into it.
I greeted the villagers and shinobi's on the way to the academy. Once we got there, we sat at our usual spot. We were always the first one's in the academy so it was pretty empty, not even Iruka-sensei was here. We waited patiently and the room soon filled up with all the children.
They all chatted with their shinobihitai-ate's. Today was the day we'll be assigned to our new sensei and team. I wasn't all that nervous and sat there calmly. The girls looked our way with heart eyes, which always made me feel uneasy. I don't really like to be stared down, it made me feel small. Shifting uncomfortably in my seat, I set my gaze to the front of the class, ignoring their stares.
A few minutes went by and Iruka-sensei came in making the students take their seats Naruto sat beside me much to Sakura's distaste but she left it alone.
"Alright! It's time to announce the teams! Firstly, I would like to congratulate yo-"
I tuned out Iruka-sensei and took out my make-out paradise book. Usually at this age you would think this book is disgusting, but to me, it was a good book. Plus my brother got me into these... not much of a good influence if you ask me.
As Iruka announced the teams, I felt like I was being watched. I looked away from my book and looked at the back of the room to the right and glared at it. To others, it would look like I'm just glaring at nothing, but I I'm being watched.
"And because we have an odd number of students. There will be a team of four. That team is Team 7, it consists of Sakura Haruno, Naruto Uzumaki-"
"I'm doomed..." Sakura murmured.
"YES!" Naruto shouted happily.
"Sasuke Uchiha-"
"I'm doomed..." Naruto murmured this time.
"YES!" Sakura exclaimed.
"And Satoshi Hatake."
"YES!" Sakura shouted once more.
"WHAT! NOW I HAVE TO DEAL WITH TWO ARROGANT PRICKS?!" Naruto yelled. "IRUKA-SENSEI, WHY DOES A STUDENT LIKE ME HAVE TO HAVE THOSE TWO IN MY TEAM?!"
'Me? A prick? I never did anything to Naruto...'
"Because Naruto, Sasuke and Satoshi had the highest scores in the class! As for you, you had the lowest score in the class!" Iruka retorted.
The class erupted in laughter as I still glared at the same spot of the room. I then felt a nudge on my left side and it happened to be Sasuke. I looked at him with a confused look as he spoke up.
"Did you even listen to the team call outs, loser?" he said bluntly.
"Yeah, I did..."
He grunted in response as it was now lunch time. Sasuke and I went to his place which is like a small apartment. We then silently ate our onigiri, just enjoying each other's company.

We were observing the children in my glass orb. Every student there was interesting in their own ways. The orb landed on Sasuke as Kurenai spoke up.
"So that's the last survivor of the Uchiha clan huh?" she said. "Poor boy..."
"Hm, but he shouldn't be underestimated." I said.
The orb, then landed on Satoshi. I chuckled to myself, he was reading his Icha Icha paradise. He is just like his brother, except he has pure white hair and blood red eyes. His hair was from a birth defect, but his eyes were from his mother.
"Who is that?" Kurenai asked.
"That is Satoshi Hatake." I replied.
She gasped. "Kakashi, I never knew you had a little brother!"
Kakashi shrugged as we all looked back at the orb. Satoshi looked back take his gaze away from his book and look dead at us and glared.
"Does he see us? How is that possible?" Asuma said.
"Satoshi has always been sensitive to his surroundings." Kakashi explained.
"Too bad I don't have him on my team." Kurenai said.
I smiled a bit and looked back at the glaring child. You'll be a great shinobi, one day Satoshi... I just know it.
We were currently waiting for our sensei, and he was pretty damn late. There's only one person I know who would be late like this... my older brother. To be honest, waiting for him was making me a bit ticked off. I wasn't in the best mood to be waiting right now. After Naruto's little attack on both Sasuke and I during lunch. I sighed, that blonde is going to give me gray hairs.
The door finally opened and the trap Naruto set up landed on a familiar silver haired male. Sakura kept apologizing for Naruto's prank as he laughed at our new sensei. Sasuke and I had been impassive, just looking at the scene before us.
"My first impression of you all, is that you're all idiots." my brother said with a closed eyed smile.
We all sweat dropped as he directed us to meet him up on the roof. The four of us walked up the stairs to the roof and sat across from my brother. He wanted us all to introduce ourselves and Naruto was the first one to go.
"My name is Naruto Uzumaki! My likes are cup of ramen, but I like the ones at Ichiraku's better! My dislikes, I hate the three minutes that I have to wait after I put the hot water in the cup of ramen! My hobby is comparing different ramens! And my dream is to become the greatest Hokage! I'm going to make all of the villagers recognize my existence!" he exclaimed happily.
After him, it was Sakura's turn. Shaking my head, I sighed to myself, this is going to be interesting...
"My name is Sakura Haruno! I like, well, the person I like is..." she stares at Sasuke and me, blushing. "And my hobby is.. *looks at Sasuke and I and giggles* well, my dream is to..." she then squeals like a mad woman.
"And your dislikes?" my brother asked.
"NARUTO!" she exclaimed immediately.
Naruto hung his head down as my brother motioned for Sasuke to go next.

"My name is Sasuke Uchiha. There are many things I hate, and there aren't many things that I like, however Satoshi is an exception. Also, I have an ambition that I have no intention to leave as just a dream. The revival of my clan and to... kill a certain man."
Naruto visibly gulped thinking it was him. My eyes softened at Sasuke. I really feel like he shouldn't kill his brother... but it's not like he'll listen to me anyways. Kakashi then motioned me to go and all eyes were on me.
"My name is Satoshi Hatake. I like hanging out with Sasuke and my older brother, I also like training. I dislike fan girls, and those who abandon their comrades. My hobbies consist of training and reading. As for my dream, I wish to bring peace within the five great nations to finally bring wars to an end."
My brother then told us to meet him at five in the morning at the training grounds with no breakfast. I know my brother well... he'll just be late. We all then went home and trailed I head over to my room to read my book until I felt tired enough to sleep.
I awoke to a slap on the face. It wasn't hard, but it was enough to wake me up. I groaned and look at the clock. It was 5am and there stood my brother with a closed eyed smile still in his pajamas.
"You have to get up." he said.
I ignored him and pulled the blankets over my head. I heard him sigh as he threw the blankets off of me. He then proceeded to grab my leg and drag me on the ebony wooden floor.
"Nii-saaan..." I whined. "I don't understand why I even have to go. You'll just be late and I already know what the training exercise is about."
He stopped in his tracks. "You do?"
"Well, duh! idiot can figure it out. We were put in a team for a reason, so what better way than to start off a new genin team? An exercise that deals with teamwork." I replied.
"I see... you're always one step ahead with that brain of yours." he said with a smile.
He then released me as I lazily walked to his room. He basically dragged me to the kitchen so his room was closer. And me sleeping in his room is a normal thing for the both of us. Besides, he knows I'll choose whatever path is the shortest.
My brother lied in his bed face up as I plopped myself onto him making him chuckle. He pushed me a bit so I was on the other side and pulled the blanket on top of us.
"Do I still have to do the test?" I mumbled into the pillow.
"No, you already know what I planned to do. I can't have you giving out the answers." he said.
"Can I still tag along?"
He chuckled as he ruffled my hair a bit. "Of course you can. Now, let's go back to sleep... I'm tired."
I grunted in response as we let ourselves fall asleep once more.
It was about 10am in the morning now and I the team must be hungry. I can feel Sasuke's wrath right now... boy is he going to get mad. My brother and I walked casually together towards the training grounds. He was reading his Icha Icha book while I just had my hands stuffed into my pockets. I mean I would read my book, but it's a bit awkward seeing both brothers reading the same book together. It would feel like we have our own little book club.
We arrived at the training grounds and everyone there looked tired and hungry, even though Sasuke tried to cover it up, I can clearly see he was feeling the same way as those two. Naruto and Sakura were the first ones to spot us as they pointed an accusing finger at us.
"You're late!" they said in unison.
"Gomen, I tried to wake my brother up, but then I tripped and bonked my head onto a desk making me fall unconscious." I said bluntly.
"LIAR!" they yelled again in unison.
Sasuke glared at me knowing I make a lot of excuses. I laughed nervously at his gaze while my brother explained the exercise.
"Wait, what about Satoshi-kun?" Sakura asked.
"He won't be joining us, he's just here to watch." my brother replied.
"That's not fair! Why is he off the hook?! He's part of this team so he should help us!" Naruto exclaimed.
Sakura bonked his head. "NARUTO YOU IDIOT! SHUT YOUR MOUTH! SATOSHI-KUN DOESN'T NEED YOU BAD MOUTHING HIM!"
I sighed. "I'm not a part of it because I already know the answer to this test. And no I can't tell you, I gave my word to my nii-san that I wouldn't say anything about it."
Naruto and Sakura both slumped at my statement. I then climbed up a tree with chakra and sat on a branch reading my book as they began their test. From time to time, I would look away from my book to see how they were doing and let me tell you.... it was horrendous.
Naruto kept trying to do things on his own, Sakura would just stare at me or try to find Sasuke, and... Sasuke.. I don't think teamwork even crossed his mind. Maybe it did, but he didn't care about them thinking they'd slow him down.
A few hours went by and they didn't even get a bell. I mentally shook my head at my team as I watched them get lectured by my brother. After that, he left the three to eat and I seen Sasuke feeding Naruto who was tied to a log. Of course, seeing that, Sakura had followed his actions.
My brother then popped out of nowhere with lightning over his head, looking ready to kill them. Judging by their actions, it seems he was playing with their emotions. At one point they looked scared, but in the end, they looked happy. It looks like they've passed as a team.
Looks like this is going to be one hell of a team... a fan girl, a hyperactive ninja, and a 24/7 angry bird. I chuckled to myself... I can't wait to see where this team will go.

Cutting to Life: an NPC LitRPG (Battle Royale)
Nikola is an NPC in The World of Wills, a video game where players can feel sensations as if they were truly there. She leads a life of bloodshed and murder - that is, until one day she wakes up sapient. Just as she begins thinking real, non-scripted thoughts and making connections, she and the players in the game are told that if they die in the game, they die in real life - and it's time to get killing. But what of Nikola, the emerging AI consciousness? How does she win in a game that can only end in her being wiped from existence at the end of it all? - Updates Mondays and Fridays. Cutting to Life is a slow-burn LitRPG with a villainous (later anti-hero, or maybe still villainous, haha) female lead. It's told from the perspective of Nikola, an NPC within the World of Wills who's become sapient and is now mysteriously able to play the game as a PC. It's quite light for a LitRPG, but the system and stats become more of a focus later when Nikola herself can access them. The story gradually builds into a Battle Royale where the players' lives are on the line (if you die in the game, you die in real life), and only one party of savvy adventurers can win. They'll have to spend their time and stats wisely as dungeons promising rare gear float down from the sky - but is a legendary sword worth killing someone for, knowing they'll stay dead forever? - This story is told in third person, past tense.- This is a slow-burn LitRPG that spends a lot of time establishing its setting and characters, because I believe this will make for a better payoff in the end. As such, the Battle Royale doesn't start until chapter 30 or so.- Chapters are anywhere between 800 words and 3000 words long.- Book cover by Vixeona.Cutting to Life is also being posted on SPB and Scribble Hub.Thank you sincerely for reading.
