❝ His smile created chaos in her heart and it always messed up her mind. But, it was also the same thing, which silenced the storms and calmed down every demon inside her, which always tried to tear her apart❞
Loud laughter and talks greeted me good morning as I stirred in my peaceful sleep, opening my right eye, I looked around and let out a sigh of contentment my body felt. Now fully recovered from the bright light, I stretched my arms, reaching for my phone and checked the time.
My eyes widened, when I saw it was nearly three in the afternoon and blew out a breath out of surprise. Last night, I really did sleep peacefully and took what was mine from so long.
And no matter how hard I tried to convince myself, that it had nothing to do with him or his soothing voice that lulled me to sleep, deep down I knew, I was lying.
Getting up from my bed, I combed my hair with my fingers, trying to make sense out of that bird nest and frowned, when I again heard laughter from downstairs, knocking on my door. What's so funny?
Dragging myself to the bathroom, I took a long relaxing shower, calming my body down, releasing my stress and changing into a long and plain black T-shirt dress. Gathering my slightly damp hair in a loose bun, I fixed my bed smoothing out the crinkles.
Feeling chirpy and warm, I drew the satine curtains aside to welcome the light and warmth of the sun in and let them decorate the room with it's golden blaze.
Humming to myself a melody, I stepped downstairs, but abruptly stopped when I reached the living room. Not one, not two, but three. Three different voices, I knew exactly who was here.
Tiptoeing quietly, why was I tiptoeing again? I peeked in and saw Delia sitting there with Dad by her side. They were both laughing and talking to someone, craning my neck, I saw that someone sitting in front of them in the armchair.
I couldn't see his face, but could make out his clear posture, that navy blue V neck T-shirt clinging to his crafted body, moving over his broad shoulders with sleeves rolled up to his elbow. His luscious hair looked as silky as ever, he looked don't say it tempting..

His laughter rang loudly and I instantly recognized that voice. That fucking voice.
"WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING HERE?" I barged inside the living room, interrupting them.
He turned to meet my eyes, mine glaring, while his were calm and mischievous and he smirked at me.
"You could've told us, that you two had a fight and that's why you decided to come here"
"Now, I know the reason behind your sudden appearance"
I whirled towards my elders, quite keen to discuss my life with a gaping mouth "What are you guys talking about?" I asked them, incredulously.
"Come on now, Giggles. No need to hide it from us, especially not me. Nothing can be hidden from Papa Hughes"
Letting out an annoyed noise, I narrowed my eyes at the felon sitting there as he leaned back against the armchair comfortably and enjoyed the show.
With tired and pleading eyes, I looked at Delia and said "A little help here? Please and thank you"
She let out a quiet laugh, before elaborating, amusement dancing in her eyes "We know that Ethan is your boyfriend and that you two had a big fight. He tried to make things better again, but you were really mad at him and came here, didn't you?"
"What. The. Fuck?" I could feel my left eye twitch, with something bitter burning inside. He was dead, oh so much dead. I turned towards him, glaring down at him.
He raised up his hands in surrender and said "I did nothing, really. They assumed it all on their own, Snow" I would've believed him, if and only if he wasn't wearing that devilish smirk.
"Snow? So, that's what you call her? How cute and thoughtful!" Delia gushed from her seat.
Exhaling a long tired breathe, I grumbled "I need a fucking drink to handle this"
Leaving them behind, busy in their conversation, I stalked towards the kitchen lazily and began to make myself a cup of strong coffee.
"Your Mom is pretty cool" His voice strolled towards me from behind, causing me to jump in my spot. How wrong he had been.
I hummed, not bothering to turn around or talk to him and took out my favorite mug from the cabinet. My eyes fell on the green mug resting just beside mine and for a second, I saw her. Behind my eyelids, her smile was brighter than ever.

"Aren't you happy to see me here?" He asked, interrupting my moment of nostalgia and came by side to look at me.
"Oh, I am, alright. Very very ecstatic, ridiculously" I muttered under my breath, before turning away and putting the mug down.
I was busy pouring that hot steamy liquid, when he mumbled "You are not going to ask me, how did I get your address?"
"Not really" I shrugged him off.
"Okay, then how about, why am I here?"
"Probably to make living hard for me"
"Damn it and here I thought, it would be fun here"
"Don't forget to close the door on your way back"
Brining the coffee mug close to my face, I felt it's warmth fanning my cheeks, before I pulled it between my lips and took a long desiring sip.
"Very funny. But, just so you know, they were pretty curious about the reason behind our so called fight" He stated, falling on the kitchen stool and leaning in to rest his elbows on the counter top, looking at me through his thick eyelashes.
Furrowing my eyebrows, in confusion, I walked to take a seat in front of him, fixing my dress.
"Well, no surprise there. What did you say?" I pressed further, holding the mug with my both hands and sipped the hot beverage.
"Oh, nothing. Just that, you are insisting on an abortion and I want to welcome my first child in this world"
I choked on my coffee, just as the words moved past his lips. Coughing loudly, I quickly put the mug down and wiped my mouth with the back of my hand.
Looking at him with a harsh glare, I screeched "You did what?"
He was doubling over laughter, clutching his stomach as if it was the most funniest thing in the world. He continued laughing and for a moment, I couldn't help but admire him.
Those crinkled eyes and that big wide grin, his face was bright and filled with the beauty of the night and deep down, I had this sudden urge to click a picture of him. So, I could look at it whenever I want to and steal some of his happiness, even just for a while.
"Oh my god! Your reaction was Priceless" He wheezed, wiping a small droplet from the corner of his right eye.
I rolled my eyes, gaining my senses back and scowled at him "That was not funny at all, you idiot!"
"But to me, it was. You should have seen your face" He didn't even complete the sentence, before howling out again.
I gritted my teeth glancing over at him and picked up the coffee mug, my grip tightening around it "Yeah, yeah whatever. I got it, now shut up"
Annoyance pruned my skin, looking at him laughing. From the corner of my eye, I saw Delia enter the kitchen holding a tray and her eyes fell on us.
"What's happe- Oh! Winter? Why is your face so red?" She asked giggling, stepping past us, towards the sink.
"It's nothing, don't worry. The coffee is a bit hot, I guess," I muttered under my breath.
"Yeah, a little too hot. Don't ya think?"
He smirked at me, crossing his arms over his chest and I tried my best not to stare on those flexing muscles and gave him a blank look. The shining specks in his eyes, pulled me towards them like a magnet and recklessly, I followed.
Feeling quite proud, despite of having shitload of work, I managed to do some writing here. Now, I gotta go and start torturing myself again, although I have no motivation whatsoever. But, I might or might not be working on something else too, we'll just see how that goes.
Hope you all liked the chapter! Bye. Making one person smile can change the world, maybe not the whole world, but their world :)
Love, Zee..
