Nights are my best friends,

Days are a nightmare.

The feelings come crashing down,

Despite of pretending not to care.

The mountain is too huge to climb,

The ocean has gusty waves.

The road is too treacherous,

A voice says you won't be saved.

The world loves those who follow,

The world loves being loved.

So you put on a smile knowing its contagious,

While your heart remains crushed.

You pick up the pieces,

With the hope you'll be fixed someday.

But that day seems nowhere to be seen,

Pressing 'stop' seems like the only way.

Creating causes, heading towards the goal,

Brings doubt, makes your faith stumble.

Yes I worked hard but will I rejoice?

When the doubts are louder than the rumble...

The longing to feel worthy,

To be loved, cherished and missed,

Fills my mind with so many thoughts,

To see the light of hope is all I wish.
