《Here She Goes (Nishinoya x Reader)》This Was The Moment That We Won

~Y/N POV~
"THEY'RE FINALLY PUTTING KINOSHITA BACK IN!" I cheered happily, clapping my hands as he made his way onto the court.
For the entirety of the game, he had been really quiet and was clearly concentrating extremely hard. At times I could see him mimicking a serving motion, and even doing a shortened approach.
He took his place behind the line, closing his eyes as he held the ball ahead of him. The guys on the bench, (mainly led by Noya) did their classic cheer, pointing at him and screaming his name as the whistle blew.
He took just a couple steps before making contact with the ball, sending it flying over towards Miya Osamu.
The entire play appeared in slow motion. First the receive. Then, the set, and suddenly the attack. Before the poor boys even had a chance to react, the ball was hitting the floor.
"Waaaah! That was such a good serve too!" I wailed, leaning my head on Yachis shoulder as Kinoshita was subbed out for the final time that game.
"T-they're so fast! I could b-barely even track the ball," Yachi shivered, her entire body appearing to shake as she stood there.
"They're all high and mighty, huh?" I sighed, watching as the game continued.
"That's an understatement," Yachi mumbled, looking up at the huge cheering section for Inarizaki.
"This reminds me of a concert or something. I'm honestly expecting miss Nicki too pop out at any moment and sing for us," I giggled, trying to lighten the mood.
Yachi stifled a small laugh, even cracking a smile as we turned back to the court. The boys appeared to just be coming out of a timeout, and looked as ready as ever.
Unfortunately mister Barry the bee was up to serve, and you could just feel the unusual nerves radiating from Nishi.
"Hey Yachi? Do you have a fly swatter by any chance?" I asked hopefully, raising an eyebrow as the insect stood at the service line.
"W-why would I have a fly swatter?" she asked hesitantly.
"So I can remove that bee from the game!" I exclaimed, pointing to the yellow haired setter.
"Even if I did have one, I don't think it would be a good idea to trust you with it," she laughed.
"Well, I suppose my shoe will work if it comes down to it," I sighed, placing my hands on my hips as the whistle blew once again.
Miya Atsumu served up a jump floater, and I couldn't help but hold my breath as the ball wavered in the air, heading straight for Nishi.
He almost appeared to be frozen, staring down the ball with a, frown on his face until a familiar voice called out above the cheers.
"NISHINOYA! MOVE UP!" Kinoshita screamed, snapping him out of whatever state he'd previously been in.
As if he was being controlled by strings (puppet master tings😙), he took a couple steps forwards, his arms moving smoothly and resting above his head.
The ball flew right into the pads of his fingers, being caught and then released in one swift motion. Too my delight, the ball flew through the air right to Kageyama, enabling açai- ASAHI too get a powerful kill.
"NISHI YOU ABSOLUTE BADASS!" I screamed, jumping up and down as the stadium erupted with applause.
I couldn't help but laugh as he chest bumped Asahi, tumbling back slightly from the force of the ace's strength. He then whirled around, pointing directly at Kinoshita and letting out a loud cheer before turning and smiling brightly at me.

I returned the gesture, jumping up and down to show my joy as the boys continued to rough him up a bit.
"Yachi...my boyfriend is so cool," I wailed, shaking her back and forth aggressively.
"Y-Y/N I c-can't see straight a-anymore," she stammered, grabbing my wrists as I sighed proudly.
"Who needs sight? It's kinda a stupid sense anyways," I giggled.
"H-how?" she asked, titling her head to look at me with one eyebrow raised.
"Just imagine this. You wake up, and you can't see. So what do you do? You enjoy the fact that you can eat anything and everything without getting yelled at! Why? Because you can't see what it is, so instead you have to taste it!"
Yachi just burst out laughing, smiling at me as I stood there with a completely serious face, nodding my head.
"I suppose that's true," she managed, tucking her small hands in the pockets of her track suit.
"Of course it's true. You can't fight the facts," I decided, continuing to nod my head as Inarizakis ace slammed a free ball back over the net.
"Isn't that the pinch server from earlier? I guess they gave him another chance," Yachi thought out loud, pointing to the pomegranate boy.
"Oh yeaaa, the pomegranate!" I exclaimed, sticking my arms in the air as he served once again. However, his serve was easily received by dadchi, and turned into a counter attack by Tsukishima.
"Phew," she sighed, allowing her arms to fall from her chest as the server received some praise from his teammates before being switched off again.
"Heyyy! Go Asahi!" I cheered, waving as Jesus caught the ball and readied himself.
He then unleashed a wicked serve, which unfortunately landed out of bounds. Although I can basically guarantee you that Inarizakis defence stands absolutely no chance against Jesus's strength🥰
"Gagh, the power of the man bun is to strong!" I sobbed.
"Something like that," Yachi added, realizing she could no longer deny my comments, nor should she question them.
On the next play Tanaka's spike was completely shut out by their middle blocker- the one who doesn't look like he smokes weed. (boring- KIDDING kidding...or not😙🤏🏼)
That point also happened to be the half way marker, so the two teams switched which side of the court they were on.
Although this did mean the boys were on the same side of the net as Yachi and I, which meant my ENCOURAGING words would definitely be heard.
"HEY VOLLEYBALL NERDS! I DON'T FEEL LIKE GOING HOME YET SO KICK IT IN TO GEAR!" I yelled as they neared us, earning many laughs and smiles from the team.
"YEA! LET'S DO THIS!" I heard Nishi chant, readying himself as the serve went up.
This rally went back and forth multiple times before the Miya twins used a play which looked all too familiar. Even to the untrained eye, you could tell it was the same as Kageyama and Hinata's quick.
"YACHI THEY'RE COPYING US! LOOK AT THE FAN BEHAVIOUR!" I wailed, shaking her frozen body back and forth as she stared wide eyed at the court.
"W-what was that?" she stammered, eyes still glued to the orange flooring where the ball had landed.
"It was the grinch doing yoga and screaming...WHAT DO YOU THINK IT WAS?" I exclaimed, pausing for dramatic effect between declarations.
I waited for Yachi to say something, but instead she simply clasped her hands together, mumbling something under her breath.

"Hinata.."
I turned to see the little ginger jogging onto the court, looking determined as ever. My eyes lit up and finally released my grip from Yachi's shoulders, turning all of my attention to the court.
The first set to Tanaka.
Then the second.
The next time the ball came over, it ricocheted off of our block and landed out of bounds.
"DAMMITTTTT! YOU GUYS HAVE THE FLASH OUT THERE FOR A R E A S O N!" I exclaimed, dragging my hand down my face and waving my arms around.
Then as if on cue, Hinata ran up and hit one of his famous quicks with total ease, not having to deal with any blockers OR defenders.
"Oh wowwwww!" I exclaimed, watching with big eyes.
"Yea! Nice one Hinata!" Yachi cheered, finally seeming to snap out of her little daze.
"Hinata's like a ticking time bomb of total chaos," I snickered, crossing my arms.
"Sounds familiar."
"Yachiiiii- WAHHHH THE BUG IS BACK ALREADY? RETURN TO YOUR BASEMENT SANGWOO!"
Yachi tilted her head too look at me before spotting the yellow haired boy at the either end of the court, measuring his distance with his steps.
"Sangwoo?" she questioned as I froze, realizing her little, innocent, baby mind definitely doesn't know who Sangwoo is.
"Yachi...don't ask questions....you don't wanna know."
She continued too look at me with a quizzical face, only being snapped out of her interrogation when the stadium erupted with applause.
I looked up to see a point being added to Karasuno's side, and realized the boys had somehow managed to limit Miya Atsumu to just one serve yet again.
Absolute legends.
N e ways, it was Hinata's turn to serve which meant the salt shaker was in the front row. He managed to block the first of Inarizakis spikes, but was faked out when the grandpa haired twin set the ball instead of hitting it.
It went racing across the net, being slammed down by their ace. However, something was in the balls path.
And that something was a 5'3 human tangerine who rolled backwards over his neck as he received the spike, killing the balls momentum as it hurdled back into the air.
You could just feel the relief and surprise wash over the stadium, the calming mix of the two relaxing every muscle in my body.
You could see it on Hinatas face. Everything that had held him back until this point was dissolving like that meme where a raccoon tries to wash his cotton candy.
The stadium's applause grew even louder then before, with every person on their toes as Kageyama settled himself beneath the ball.
"COUNTER!" the entire team yelled in unison, each and every one of them racing towards the net a top speed.
The toss went to Asahi.
And was dug up by Miya Atsumu.
The next spike ricocheted off the block.
Then it was dug up by Hinata when he leapt through the air too keep the ball in play.
"KAGEYAMAAAA!" he wailed, chasing back after the ball and diving head first into an approach.
However, Hinata lived up to his name being the greatest decoy, and the blockers hesitated for a split second when the set went to Tanaka instead.
"Nice kill!" Yachi cheered as the ball whizzed past their ace's arms, shooting to the back of the stadium yet again.
However, Inarizakis libero charged in, stepping under the ball and bringing it back into play yet again.
"HOW'D HE EVEN GET THERE?" I gasped, watching in horror as the ball caught on the tape, falling on Karasuno's side just barely in front of the defence.
The boys stood there in defeat, each panting hard and they stared at the ground.
"No.." Yachi whispered, watching as they trudged off the court.
"What...just happened?" I asked, barely even audible.
The boys spirits appeared to have just been crushed, all of their heads hanging low and exhaustion washing over them like an ocean wave.
"DID YOU SEE MY RECEIVE?"
I looked up from fiddling with the zipper on my jacket too see Hinata, shining bright as ever in the centre of a pool of dismay.
He had his eyes closed with a huge smile plastered on his face, hoping desperately to earn some praise from the team.
Then, slowly, one by one, the players burst out laughing, huge smiles crossing each of their faces.
They laughed and laughed, and soon a smile had crossed both mine and Yachis faces as we watched them.
"Hinata...he's an idiot," I snickered, allowing my breathing to slow and relaxing my tense muscles.
"He's so happy!" Yachi gushed, smiling brightly as the boys returned to the court with a new energy laying over their shoulders.
"Alright nerds, it's now or never," I breathed crossing my arms and watching as the next few plays unfolded.
Inarizaki got the first two points before we cut them off with a kill from Tsukkishima.
This rotated aça- Asahi to the back row, and he got us 3 points in a row before Inarizakis stopped our scoring run.
"They're on fire!" Yachi cheered, pumping her fists as the next serve came over.
It was returned to Inarizaki by Kageyama? I think he was trying to do that fake out that Flattykawa used against us in the semi finals.
Unfortunately the Miya twins faked out our blockers, and their ace got a clean kill off which brought the score to 22-21 for Inarizaki.
Karasuno then got the next point, but Inarizaki countered by claiming the one following.
They were at match point.
Yachi had basically doubled over from nerves, clasping her hands together as she mumbled prayers under he breath.
I have to admit, even I was growing nervous.
As well as the boys were doing, now that we were so close, I couldn't help but let the nerves take over.
"Damn it...come on you guys," I mumbled, not even taking notice to how tightly my fists were clenched.
When the hell did I get so nervous?
The serve went up, and it was received, flying towards Kageyama. He set Tanaka, who was...blocked.
The ball almost seemed to fall in slow motion as it whizzed past him before my favourite libero appeared behind him.
"NISHI!" I wailed, leaning forwards as he knocked the ball up just barely high enough for Kageyama to get, setting Hinata's quick.
It seemed like more of a game of ping pong rather then volleyball, back and forth, back and forth until finally, Tanaka broke through.
The ball nearly collapsed under the weight of his spike, landing right on top of the white line surrounding the court.
"TANAKA!" I cried out, jumping up and down as Yachi froze from excitement.
Kageyama got a service ace, tying us at 24. After that, Hinata sent a kill right down the middle, and I swore I could see tears forming in Yachi's eyes.
We were finally at match point, but couldn't keep up the scoring run. Inarizaki tied it up once again, and it became apparent that neither side would let up any time soon.
Hinata saved the next point with his foot...uhm its Hinata we'll just let him be.
As badly as I wanted to cheer, or to just discuss the game with Yachi, I was too focused. Watching as the score continued too shift back and forth with one point, and then the next.
"You know...they're really starting to piss me off,"
was all I could manage, staring out in space.
Yachi nodded, growing pale as she looked at the scoreboard.
"Match point again."
She was right. We were at 31, and Inarizaki was at 30.
I didn't even know when that had happened, as I was so focused on the game. Watching the ball be slammed over the net, time after time again.
Tsukkishima served the ball, which meant Nishi was off, and Hinata was in the front.
The ball barely crossed over the net, falling maybe half a foot ahead the attack line as their #4 passed it up.
Miya Atsumu couldn't make the set, so the ball was passed up to a back row player who just managed to hit it over.
Tsukki received the ball, and Hinata spiked it to the back row of Inarizakis defence, unfortunately being dug up by their libero.
Ukai was screaming at the boys too slow down, and everything seemed to speed up. The more he yelled, the more panicked they became.
"SLOW IT DOWN!" STOP! SLOW!"
I felt my breath catch in my throat, when suddenly, Hinata appeared out of nowhere.
"GOT IT!" he screamed, smiling giddily as he passed the ball incredibly high in the air, harnessing incredible control.
All of the players paused for a split second, watching the ball fly.
Suga looked like he might cry.
Nishinoya had a huge smile as he watched Hinata pass.
Ukai relaxed his shoulders, and stopped his screams as the ball met Kageyama's fingers.
It was released, and soon slammed over the net by Tanaka, well, slammed into the block.
Kageyama managed to cover for the block, but the ball flew in the opposite direction of the net.
Then TSUKKI of all people went screaming across the court, flicking the ball up by a few inches as Daichi tumbled after him, using his whole body to hurdle the ball back over the net.
It was at this moment that everything mattered. Every detail.
The Miya twins both came crashing towards the net, leaping high into the air as the ball slowly fell towards them.
They used the quick one final time, the sound of the ball being crushed by Osamu's spike ringing throughout every inch of that building.
But this time, there was something in their way. Hinata and Kageyama had risen above the net, fingers over lapped as they forced the ball back past Inarizakis defence.
Inarizaki scrambled back, every one of their players watching as the ball touched down.
And that was it.
That was the moment that it all paid off.
As the ball tumbled away, leaving behind devastated receivers and attackers.
As the linesman pointed his flag inwards, signalling that the point was ours.
As the referee's whistle was blown.
As the stands shook with cheers and applause, cries from those who knew the players personally.
As it all was worth it.
The late nights of training, and the long days in the gym.
The fights, and the resolutions, the jokes and wins, the losses even. It was all for this.
My breath was released and a small whimper escaped my lips as the entire team stumbled onto the court, crushing the two who won it all for them in a dog pile.
I could feel the hot tears fall down my cheeks, and I stumbled back so I was seated on the ground, holding my face in my hands.
Yachi stood next to me, clutching the collar of her tracksuit as she sobbed, cheers of absolute joy ringing from her small mouth.
This, was the moment it all fell in too place.
This was the moment that we won.

Truck-kun Gets Sacrificed
Driscoll is my own version of a world with a game-like "system" of endless possibilities. MC has his own status, classes, skills, magic, and a living greatswordstaff in a world of monsters, demi-humans of all kinds, and even the supernatural. Sound good? Well, at first for Tru, it was a dream come true(I'm sorry). At least until reality hits him again and again. His quest from God is vague and must be discovered by him along the way. Hopefully, he can figure that out someday but for now, this new world's threats and his potential for power are motivation aplenty. With His new partner by his side, he's ready to embark on his mission of infinite sacrifice, however many lives it takes. The setting is pretty standard for fantasy, with my beginner attempts at writing. Litrpg elements are definitely involved here but It'll calm down as the story progresses and the world's foundation is laid. Judeo/Christian themes and principles take a major role and will be a backbone for much of the story. The fights will paint a picture in the mind rather than just be a bunch of number crunching. While he is meant to be a sacrifice to save all of Driscoll, he needs to gain enough power and influence to be a worthwhile sacrifice, or so he thinks. And so carnage will ensue as he avoids death as best he can while at the same time sacking himself for others. Truck Coon is your average determined, jiu-jitsu practitioner, tax associate that just started his new career. He dies to save kids from a semi-truck(Truck Coon got truck-kun'd, making him Truck-kun) and is transported to another world rather conventionally by God. Upon his arrival, he is quickly confronted with his first conflicts in the wild. Give it a shot and let me know what you think. Chapters are currently between 2300 and 4000 words and I try to post weekly, but also deal with severe limitations that cause late posts often. I have zero actual experience with writing stories and only recently started reading web novels in 2020. If you end up hating it, let me know your thoughts in a detailed comment or review, especially if you love it though :D I want to get better and welcome the feedback, so expect changes to be made with any flaws that y'all point out which I don't already have plans to address in future chapters. That being said, keep it constructive in nature, please. I have no Idea how the formatting and such will go, so if you like or dislike some techniques I try, give me that well-appreciated feedback! Thank you for reading.
