《Here She Goes (Nishinoya x Reader)》The Return of Chia Pet and Lava Boy

~Y/N POV~
"One, two, three, four..."
"Five, six, seven, eight..."
"Hinata, they look like they're forming a summoning circle. Are they going too summon Oikawa too Shiritorizawa?" I asked seriously as we watched the players do their stretches.
"If the great king shows up then I'll show him!" Hinata exclaimed as the boys got up and started their spiking drills.
"Pssh, I'd like a chance to wipe that smug grin off his face," I snickered, following him into the court so we could retrieve the balls.
After about a half hour of the boys doing their warm up drills, they gathered into a huddle and Hinata and I were sent too get the vests.
"Hey! These look like ours! Did they steal them?" I asked seriously, eyeing the vests.
"Uhm, I'm pretty sure they just ordered them from the same vendor," Hinata snickered as I rolled my eyes.
"Thanks for going along with the joke ginger!" I teased as we handed the vests out too the players.
"Woahhh, nice set bird brain!" I cheered as the kid with angry bird hair tossed a ball too another player who I have yet to nickname.
"Uh, you really think so?" he asked excitedly.
"Yea! I mean, it wasn't perfect but it looked cool!" I cheered as he smiled brightly.
"Thanks! I'm Koganegawa by the way!" he announced as his team served up the ball.
Just as the other team scored a point, the door flung open too the gym.
"Heya!" a bunch of boys voices called as I turned around, freezing in my tracks.
"HINATA! ITS CHIA PET AND LAVA BOY! THEY'VE RETURNED!" I wailed, shaking the boy back and forth. Almost on cue, Ushiwaka looked directly too Hinata and I nodding his head as we stared blankly at him.
"I think he heard you," Hinata stammered as he walked away, lining up with the rest of his team.
"I think so too," I snickered as we watched Shiritorizawa.
"We're very lucky! Some third years and alumni from Shiritorizawa are going too ply a practice game with you!" Anabarbra exclaimed as the boys gathered around. "Decide who will play, and then we'll begin."
"Is that Karasuno's #10 I see?" lava boy exclaimed as he wandered over too us, flailing his arms around in the air. "I'm going to crush you!"
"Hey! Who do you think you are insulting my ginger like that?" I asked, staring up at the boy with my hands on my hips.
"I-"
"Hinata! Could you get some more water?" Inuoka 2.0 asked as he handed two bottles off to him. Hinata nodded and quickly ran off, not looking back as lava boy watched him leave.
"Uh, what?" the boy asked, titling his head as he looked down at me.
"I mean honestly do you really want too have a nerf battle? Because if you keep coming after my ginger that's what's going too happen!" I said sternly, still not over the fact that he insulted Hinata.
"You have nerf guns?" he asked happily, a small smile appearing on his face.
"Yep! I've got loads!" I exclaimed, pointing too my backpack on the other side of the gym.
"Wakitoshi! I like this girl!" he exclaimed as I smirked and bowed dramatically.
"Y/N L/N! But you can call me her highness," I announced as Ushiwaka simply nodded his head.
"I'm Satori Tendou and, did you call me lava boy earlier?" he asked, cocking his head as I rose.

"Yea! Because of your hair!" I exclaimed, pointing too his bright red hair.
"Ahhh, very clever Y/N! I'll talk too you later!" he cheered as Hinata came running back with the water bottles.
"Did you really just make friends with the guess monster? I thought you didn't like him," Hinata whispered.
"Hey! We already beat him so technically I don't have anything against him anymore. It's called good sportsmanship!" I declared as we wandered over too the score board, each standing on one side of it.
-
"WHOAAA KOGANE! DON'T DIE ON ME FAM!" I exclaimed as one of Ushiwaka's spikes nearly knocked bird brain over.
"So...heavy.." he mumbled, pulling himself too his feet.
"Hinata, that's a point for your side," I snickered, snapping Hinata out of his thoughts as he looked up.
"Right!" he exclaimed, flipping the fabric over.
"Man, this is so cool to watch!" I exclaimed as Shiritorizawa's point gap continued too increase.
"I can't believe I played them," Hinata breathed as Tendou shoved the ball over the net, getting the last point.
"YEAAAA TENDOU!" I cheered as he gave me a thumbs up, doing his little finger dance. "I WANNA JOIN!"
With that, I held my fingers up, shimmying back and fourth as the rookies did their penalty lap.
"You really can make friends with anyone, huh?" thing one asked as he wandered over too Hinata and I.
"Yup! It really isn't that hard!" I exclaimed as Tendou wandered over too his team.
"Tell that to my anxiety," thing two shivered as he looked at the large group of boys around us.
"I don't think Y/N's ever heard of anxiety," Hinata snickered.
"Meh, when I was little I used to be really nervous and scared of everything! But it was actually Yachi's mom who helped me get over it! Too bad Yachi's still so shy," I sighed, remembering my childhood with her.
"You're just like Nishinoya! He said he was scared of everything when he was young, but his gramps was intense and helped him get over it!" Hinata exclaimed as I nodded.
"Aw man, I love his gramps! He always brings a girl over when I'm there," I snickered.
"You guys are like soulmates!" Hinata cheered as I blushed gently, only being interrupted when Tendou came over to us.
"So... why aren't you playing?" he asked, leaning against the scoreboard as he eyed Hinata.
"I...wasn't actually chosen too be here," Hinata sighed as Tendou perked up.
"Huh? Then why are you guys here?" he asked again.
"I crashed the camp," Hinata sighed.
"Yea, and he dragged me with him!" I exclaimed as Tendou burst out laughing.
"Did you hear that Wakatoshi? These kids are crazy!" he exclaimed, turning too Ushiwaka.
"What are you even doing?" he asked in a voice sounding more boring then Akaashi which I didn't think was possible.
"C'mon, let's mop the court!" thing one suddenly exclaimed, dragging Hinata and thing two away from the conversation.
"So, what are you doing here?" Tendou asked as we watched them walk away.
"It's a long story. Hinatas partner, our setter, Kageyama was invited too the All-Japan training camp, and Tsukkishima was invited too this one,"I explained, pointing across the gym too Tsukki.
"Hinata wanted too go to a training camp too so he tricked me into coming here with him. As my punishment I have too help out," I sighed.

"Ah man, that kid will do anything to get better, huh?" Tendou snickered as I nodded my head.
"That basically sums it up! Our entire team is high off this game," I added, feeling my phone buzz in my pocket.
I opened it up too see a video message from Sugawara in the group chat, and I held my phone out so Tendou and I could watch.
"Rolling thunder...double!" Nishinoya exclaimed as he rolled right past Tanaka, knocking him over.
"Woah! Tanaka just got rolled over by Nishinoya!" Suga exclaimed as he held the phone out, channeling his Suna pride.
"Nishinoya! Tanaka!" Daichi exclaimed as he came into the cameras view, scolding the boys.
"Hey! Why am I getting yelled at?" Tanaka gasped in an offended tone as he sat up.
"I'm sending this too Y/N!" Suga exclaimed as he panned the camera over too Noya.
"NOOO, SHE TOLD ME NOT TOO ROLLING THUNDER TANAKA WHILE SHE WAS GONE!" Noya exclaimed as Tendou and I burst out laughing, watching as the video ended with Noya charging towards Suga.
"I'd say that basically proves my point," I snickered, putting my phone away.
"They look pretty crazy, but they're damn good!" Tendou snickered as I nodded happily.
"Yup! Those two are even better in class," I added as the next game was set up.
"I bet! I'll talk too you in a bit Y/N!" Tendou waved as he ran onto the court.
"HINATA! Look at this video!"
-
The second day of this camp had officially finished. I sat in one of the benches, watching as Hinata was finally allowed to play with the others. Actually, it was thanks too Tsukkishima that he was able to practice.
Who knew mango fluff had a heart?
"WOAHHHH GO GINGER!" I cheered as Hinata landed a super clean cut shot right past Tsukkishima's block, earning many stares from the others.
"You're not a libero Hinata?" one of the boys asked as he rubbed his neck.
"Huh? Do I look like a libero?" he asked excitedly as the boy shook his head.
"No, not really," he answered as Hinata sulked.
"Hinata, just say the words," I sighed, patting my backpack where my nerf guns were stashed.
"It's fine," Hinata sighed as onion head, who I'd learned was actually named Kindaichi, ducked under the net.
"I'll block too," he announced, looking right at Hinata.
"Me too!" Kogane cheered.
"Ayo, there's no way that's fair," I cackled as Hinata looked up at the tall boys.
"Ahem, I believe it's my turn," Dora scowled as the boys took their place at the net, and Hinata ran behind them too play defence.
"Great shot!" Hinata cheered in amazement as Dora ran up as if he was going too do a cross shot, changing the balls direction mid air.
"Woaaah, Dora has skill," I exclaimed, starry eyed as Kogane held back a laugh.
"My name is Goshiki," he said proudly, walking past the blockers as they bickered about who let the ball through.
"I don't like that guy," Kogane sighed as Hinata and I chatted with him between drills.
"Kunimi?" Hinata asked as I went through my list of nicknames.
"Ohhh, lilhuddy, gotcha," I nodded as they snickered at my comment.
"Anyways, everyone here is doing their best so why isn't he?" Kogane asked in an annoyed tone.
He was right. Lilhuddy- I mean Kunimi hadn't been motivated, and wasn't very involved. He didn't try very hard and sat out whenever he got the chance.
"He likes to save his energy," Hinata thought out loud, "That way, when things get tough, he can still push through."
"Kageyama would hate him," I snickered as Hinata nodded his head.
"Actually, he played with Kageyama in middle school. I don't think they got along well," Hinata sighed as he looked over at the boy.
"Well, he still takes things too easy," Kogane scowled.
After that, the boys moved into doing 2-on-2 drills, and surprisingly, Kunimi's team was dominating. Despite his laziness, he's really good.
On the other hand, the titans team, Hyakuzawa, wasn't doing very good. He's tall but he doesn't have much skill. It's clear that he's nowhere near the level of these other players.
"Here's your water!" Hinata exclaimed as he handed the giant his bottle.
"I wish you'd been invited here instead of me," he said bluntly, startling everyone around him.
"Well, everyone who's here is amazing in one way or another. And you're really big and tall. I admit without Kageyama...I'm a LITTLE...uhm.. well I can't really display my full ability!" Hinata exclaimed suddenly.
"Hinata! You're growing up so fast! I never thought you'd admit it," I sobbed dramatically, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"But I'm just huge," Hyakuzawa sighed.
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN 'JUST'?" Hinata and I exclaimed in unison.
"Do you realize how cool it is that you're two meters tall?" Hinata asked, moving towards Hyakuzawa.
"Yea! That's like...atleast two of me!" I exclaimed, jumping up and down.
"Being tall is like, the most awesome superpower!" Hinata exclaimed as Tsukki walked past us.
"Cheering up your rival? You've got confidence," he snickered as I shoved him away.
"Hey! I'm roughing him up!" Hinata exclaimed as I burst out laughing.
"Yea, you're cheering him up," Kogane sighed, rubbing his face with a towel.
"Oh, I guess," Hinata stammered as I knelt down next to Hyakuzawa.
"Ignore him, he's an idiot. The point is, you've got
natural advantages which ginger here could never have! He might be good, but without height, he's having too do lots of extra work too match up with guys above him!" I exclaimed as Hyakuzawa looked between us.
"But, what are you getting out of cheering me up?" he asked.
"Lots! I wanna beat you!" Hinata exclaimed as I punched him in the shoulder.
"Ginger!"
"OKAY! Try something for me when you go back on the court."
It had been a little while since our pep talk with Hyakuzawa, and he was currently playing against Kunimi's team.
Kunimi had sent the ball way too the back of the court where neither Hyakuzawa or his partner were defending. However, with an encouraging cheer from Hinata, Hyakuzawa managed too jump up and reach the ball no problem, setting it high into the air for his partner.
"AH YEA! NICE ONE HYAKUZAWA!" I cheered as he ran up, spiking the ball down right over Kunimi's block.
"Man you're so tall! I'm jealous!" Hinata exclaimed as he watched the entire event go down.
Hyakuzawa didn't say anything, he just smiled too me and Hinata, giving us each a high five as his nerves shifted to confidence.

YAOS 1 - Limitless Adventures - Yet Another OP Story Book 1
December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and at Amazon. December 30th 2018: V1.1.2 of YAOS Book 1 is out, some content additions, fixed typos. Amazon's enhanced typesetting now displays tables properly. YAOS is shown through the eyes of some genius athlete getting OP inside a VR, ah wait, Full Immersion game, ?F.I.O?. Not a Hero, not a Nerd, just a driven individual paying for mistakes made, biding time until he can return to the Real World. He isn't defined like you'd normally do it, you can pick his looks and name all on your own, just like you do in video games. Believe it or not, keeping his looks undefined is harder than you think. His backstory isn't expounded in detail, but it drives his choices. Book 1 isn't about depressing sob stories but about fun and rushing forward, pursuing new horizons. Oh, and you'll end on a cliffhanger! Well, most serials do, so you will probably expect that without being told explicitly. But it isn't that bad, there's a lot of reveals and more to come once this book, that is the first in a planned three-part series, is finally ready for release on amazon et al. The published version will have: 1.) Godawful speaker tags, I hate them, they make you stop thinking and speed up editing so much. In hindsight they should have been in to begin with. But I stand by my goals proclaimed earlier. You guys should think while reading, that is the whole point of the exercise. Apply the knowledge and ideas, improve yourself, get creative! 2.) Pretty colored tables, the damned blue boxes, a lot of work, 69 in one book. Finally fixed amazon's centering issue. Can't say I liked the hours needed to debug that. 3.) The promised Mitara chapters. 4.) A cover! 5.) And lastly, updated polished versions of several chapters. MC shares more of his past, some terrible chapters (esp. 32) finally work. Some new scenes, minor rewrites in parts. Text flow and other issues. The current challenge is to maintain essential ambiguity while satisfying people wanting to know more without thinking three steps ahead. Balancing one with the other is tough. The smut which was in remains, but the story told is not to be superseded by it. A 15+ rating for the first book is also important, not to mention, YAOS wasn't meant to contain any smut to begin with. If the Author can turn to writing full time his output should increase, so please support YAOS #1 once it does finally release. ~Thank You~ No maps so far, that should be in, but is really hard to get done right. Again, tips are appreciated. Update September 2017: Stubbed chapters, sorry guys, currently don't have time to upload them elsewhere, polishing book 1 and 2, writing 3, takes precedence. Book 1 is in heavy editing, too much to keep synced and continuing editing. I'd need a site which offers JS-free rapid managing of chapters and comments. Coding one myself or setting a premade up is out of scope until I'm done with the books. RRL-old offered that, nuff said. This is only here because the author believes in fairies, nobody reads this, most likely. October to December 2017: Life threw some curveballs. February 2018: Book 2 draft 1 completed, at ~150K words. Book 2 is fairly epic in scope, requires 1 rewritten chapter, some editing. Tables and miscellanea are in, but needs at least a grammar pass. March 2018: Book 3 at 28k words, first arc, rest needs serious planning for spin-off and satisfying conclusion. July 2018: Yet another proofing/editing session of books 1-3, 101+ chapters, ~300k words. B3 at 48k, starts out great, but no ETA, no wordcount limit, in flux. But prioritizing my writing cannot be done, I hate the delays as much as you, but you will prefer the whole released in a timely fashion rather than wait. Knowing myself how excruciating waiting can be, at least you'll get significantly polished versions and an ETA on book 2 by release of book 1. December 23rd 2018: Book 1 is now up at Smashwords and in the process at Amazon et. al.. . To all who wait patiently, offered feedback, thanks again!
