~Y/N POV~
"Guys...I think she just wanted a waffle," I sighed as Noya, Tanaka, Mako and I walked down the hall too the principals office.
"Definitely," Tanaka agreed as he shoved his hands into his pockets.
"She's just jealous of our meal," Noya added as he placed the last bite of waffle in his mouth and chewed it.
"I've gotta say, that's the first time I've seen someone make food in class," Mako nodded.
"Pssh, that's like the third time she's done it this semester," Tanaka snickered as I just nodded my head to confirm.
"Aw man, now I want trail mix!" I pouted.
"Hah, you always want food," Noya snickered as he opened the door to the office from me since I had to hold the toaster.
"Why wouldn't I? Food is spectacular!" I cheered, getting the attention of the secretary.
"Y/N, Tanaka, Nishinoya, it's only first period. What did you do this time?" she asked, eyeing the toaster in my hands.
"Well ya see, I didn't have time to make my waffles at home so I tried to make them in class! I think miss got jealous that she didn't get one though so she sent us here," I explained seriously as the secretary sighed and looked at Mako who tried to stifle his laughs.
"This is new. You are?" she asked, raising an eyebrow at the boy.
"Mako Akihito!" he declared happily as she sighed and typed his name into the computer.
"He's just like you Y/N, getting sent to the office on his first day," she sighed, making notes on each of our student reports.
"He had a good teacher!" I boasted as she stood up and stretched her arms out.
"You can have it back at the end of the day," she instructed as I handed the toaster over and pouted.
"I'LL MISS YOU!" I called as she brought the toaster into the back room.
"You know the drill!" she called back as I groaned and led the boys into a separate room which had six desk spread throughout it.
"Alright! Apology letter time!" I announced, snatching multiple sheets of paper from the middle desk and sitting down.
"So, this is a routine for you guys?" Mako asked as he followed suit, sitting in a desk in front of mine.
"You know it," I snickered as I pulled a glittery pen out of my bag and started to write.
"How do I apologize for eating a waffle in class?" Tanaka asked dumbfounded as he stared at the blank piece of paper.
"Pssh, you say you're sorry you didn't share with miss!" I exclaimed as he rolled his eyes and mocked me.
"Y/N it's not that hard!" Noya teased as he shoved the pen in my hand.
"Yes it is! All I wanted to do was make a waffle! I don't see what I did wrong!" I exclaimed as the boys burst out laughing.
"I mean, she has a point," Tanaka snickered as he opened one of my failed apologies. "WAIT, WHY DID YOU WRITE THAT MISS IS AN EGGO-MANIAC?"

"SHE WHAT?" Noya cackled as he grabbed the letter and read it out loud.
"Dear miss, I'm terribly sorry for interrupting your class. Maybe if you weren't such an EGGO-MANIAC I wouldn't be writing this," he read aloud as I groaned and collapsed onto my desk.
"Wait, look at this one!" Mako exclaimed as he handed them another letter.
"Dear miss, did you know that toasters aren't water proof? I bet you'd be SHOCKED if only you hadn't sent me out!" Tanaka read as I repeatedly banged my head on the desk.
"Y/N, you've written a thousand apology letters before. It's not that hard!" Noya sighed as he knelt down to my eye level.
"Hey, I've written them! That doesn't mean they weren't like these!" I exclaimed in defence as Tanaka and Mako continued to read through the scraps.
"HEY WHY DID YOU BLAME ME IN THIS ONE?" Tanaka gasped dramatically as he crumpled up a letter and threw it at my head.
"Tanaka?" a voice called from outside the room. Tanaka, Noya and I immediately froze, knowing who the voice belonged too.
"HIDEEEE!" I screamed as I slid off my chair and hid under the desk.
"Y/N? Tanaka? Nishinoya? What did you do this time?" Suga sighed as he stood at the entrance too the room.
"Nothing," I groaned as he bent over and looked at me.
"Did you use the toaster in class?"
"Maybe."
"Did you get it confiscated?"
"Maybe."
He stood up and shook his head, placing his hands on his hips as I pouted.
"Good grief," he sighed before being called away by the secretary.
"Dang it! He could've written my apology for me!" I groaned as I peaked my head out from under the desk and looked at the boys.
"Y/N, miss would know you didn't write the apology," Noya snickered as he grabbed my arm and pulled me out from under the desk.
"Pfft, no she wouldn't....okay yea she would," I sighed as I crossed my arms.
"Just say you're sorry for interrupting her class," Tanaka instructed as he threw the pen at my head and handed me a piece of paper.
I thought for a moment before picking up the pen and scribbling something down, not allowing the boys too see it.
"OKAY LETS GO," I exclaimed, leaping up and folding up my letter as I stuffed the pen in my pocket and skipped into the hall.
-
"I'm backkkk!" I exclaimed as I waltzed into the classroom with the boys following closely behind.
"Fantastic," miss sighed sarcastically as she stuck out her hand, receiving four letters as we returned too our seats.
"What happened while we were gone?" Tanaka asked as he peered at the board, trying to make sense of what was written on it.
"Dinosaurs attacked," I snickered as he rolled his eyes and laid his head on the desk.
"It still smells like waffles," Noya groaned as he sniffed the air.
"WAPPPPPP!" I exclaimed suddenly as they burst into laughter.
"Y/N YOU CANT JUST SAY THAT!" Noya snickered as he tried too calm myself.

"Pssh, nasty ass. It means waffles and pancakes!"
"AYYYYYY!" I exclaimed suddenly, leaping up and dancing around as Noya, Tanaka, Mako, and Ennoshita looked up.
"She's gone crazy again," Tanaka sighed as he went back too his lunch.
"No you bastard, Nekoma and Fukurodani both made it through to nationals!" I exclaimed, continuing too jump around.
"Both? That's awesome!" Noya exclaimed as I nodded happily.
"Did I miss a chapter?" Mako asked as he raised an eyebrow.
"Oooooh yea, long story short, these idiots all play for our schools volleyball team and made it too nationals. I used to live in Tokyo and have a bunch of friends who play for Fukurodani and Nekoma and just found out they made it too nationals as well!" I exclaimed happily as he raised his eyebrows and nodded his head.
"That's great but, what do you have to do with it?" he asked as I sighed and dropped my shoulders.
"You sure ask a lot of questions," I sighed dramatically, "but I'm a manager for the team."
"I se-"
"Y/N!"
I turned around too see a wild tangerine standing in the door with an irritated looking Kageyama behind him.
"GINGER!" I exclaimed as a couple of people in our class snickered at my nickname for him.
"NEKOMA MADE IT TOO NATIONALS!" he exclaimed happily as I went bounding over to the door.
"FUKURODANI TOO!" I cheered as his eyes lit up and turned too Kageyama.
"At least look a little bit excited!" he scolded him as the angry setter sent him a glare.
"I am excited, I'm just not running around the school telling every person I know," he shot back as I tried too cover my laughs.
"Don't encourage him!" Ennoshita scolded as he walked up behind me and greeted Hinata and Kageyama.
"Hey, why does it smell like waffles in here?" Kageyama asked as Noya joined us at the door and I dramatically collapsed into his arms.
"That's a sensitive subject," Noya snickered as he caught me mid air.
"Remember how she had a toaster in the gym this morning?" Hinata asked as Kageyama thought for a moment before the pieces added up and he nodded his head.
"THEY TOOK MY TOASTER!" I wailed as Noya sighed yanked me up, wrapping his arms over my shoulders as I pouted.
"You're getting it back in a couple hours! It's not the end of the world," he snickered as I flicked the side of his head.
"How do you know? What if that toaster had a lever on it that could start a nuclear war?" I asked seriously as he rolled his eyes and moved his arms down to my waist, picking me up and carrying me back to the desk.
"BYE GINGERRRR!" I called as he waved, grabbing Kageyama's arm and hurrying down the hall too the next classroom.
"I'M HERE FOR MY TOASTER!" I announced as I barged into the office.
"You can go get it, just make sure you make your waffles at home next time," the secretary sighed as I nodded and skipped into the back room.
"THERE YOU ARE!" I cheered as I rushed forwards, hugging the toaster too my chest as I skipped back into the main office and smiled too the secretary.
"See you tomorrow!" I called as I wandered out the door.
"I'd say I hope I don't but I know you'll be back!" she teased as I pulled the door closed with my foot and made my way too the gym.
"Yea, I got my toaster, I got my toaster," I sang too myself as I skipped passed a couple of first years who snickered at my performance.
"Y'all want an autograph?" I asked as they shook their heads, smiles on their faces as I shrugged and skipped into the courtyard.
I could hear the balls bouncing on the floor as I neared the gym, mingled with cheers and shouts.
"I GOT MA TOASTER!" I yelled as I hopped into the gym, all the attention going to me as I stood there with a cheesy smile on my face.
"Kid, why do you have a toaster?" Ukai snickered as I wandered over to the stage and set it down.
"Why don't you have a toaster?" I asked seriously as he sighed and shook his head.
"Good question."
I smiled and dumped my bag on the stage, turning and watching as the boys finished with their warm up.
"U-uhm Y/N? Why do you have a toaster?" Yachi asked as she wandered over to where I stood.
"Well Yachi, let me tell you a little tale," I began as the door too the gym opened, and I turned around too see miss standing with a letter in her hand as she searched the gym.
"Uh oh," I muttered as I hid behind Yachi.
"Is Y/N L/N here?" she asked as Tanaka and Noya tried desperately too hide their laughs.
"She's here. May I ask what she did?" Daichi sighed as he dragged me out from behind Yachi.
"Wow, way too be a team player," I scowled, crossing my arms.
"Y/N, care to explain to me and the rest of the team why you wrote 'Well miss, because of you, I'm toast' in your apology letter?" she asked sternly as a huge grin appeared on my face.
"Hey, compared to the other letters that one is really good!" I said in defence as Tanaka burst out laughing.
"I TOLD YOU TO SAY YOU WERE SORRY FOR INTERRUPTING THE CLASS, NOT TOO ADD ANOTHER TOASTER PUN!" he cackled as Noya smirked and shook his head at me.
"AT LEAST I DIDN'T HAND IN THE ONE ABOUT HER BEING AN EGGO-MANIAC!" I shot back as Daichi slapped the back of my head.
"I'm so sorry about them," he sighed, bowing to miss as I scowled and rubbed my head.
"It's alright. But if you see her walking around with any more appliances, don't let her in my classroom."

Yet, the threat of it is real and that’s why I’m writing this warning with shaking hands. So pay attention those who read this, be careful of what lies waiting cloaked in the darkness. That which made their home the lost places of this world.” She folded the letter with a shuddering breath and stared back in the direction from where the noise reverberated through the halls. It was of stone doors shattering one by one. The chances of getting out safely were all but gone. The letter in her hand was all warning they would have. It dropped into one of the Wells and all that could be done now was hope it was found in time, if at all. -- This was my very first large story. ;) I started writing it years ago. Was fun, was difficult, but in the end, it is a story I hope that will inspire. The prologue is in first person perspective and the rest of the story in 3d. Just a little heads-up :P It is a fantasy epic with a contemporary twist for the start. The first arc of the novel is set inside our modern world, but as the mysterious events around Calin intensifies, the hidden secrets in the world start to become more fantastical. The story follows Calin, a young orphan in search of answers. But, the answers he seeks will change his life and that of his friends forever, for the secrets that caused his situation have far greater ramifications than the small village of Lamb's Crest could have known. Remember to leave ratings and reviews. I'm quite interested in hearing your thoughts on the story. ;) Enjoy reading, Omri Hope
