~Tanaka POV~

"Come on bro! It's only a couple of words!" I teased as I slapped Noyas back who was slumped over on the floor.

"ITS WORDS THAT COULD LITERALLY DECIDE MY FATE!" he retorted as I chuckled and sat down in front of him.

"Oh come onnnn, they'll be down here any minute and I doubt she'll say she loves you back if she sees you in this state," I snickered as he groaned in looked up at me.

"I'm gonna be sick," he murmured as Hinata came wandering over.

"Uh, Noya you don't look so good," Hinata pointed out as he poked at his cheeks.

"Thanks for pointing out the obvious Hinata," I exclaimed as Noya swatted his hand away.

"Is something wrong? You do know we won right?" Hinata asked as I smirked and slung my arm around his shoulders.

"Hinata, Noya here is about to confess his love," I said slyly, earning a death glare from Noya.

"You're going to confess to Y/N?" he gasped out loud as I snickered and nodded.

"Don't say it so loud!" Noya exclaimed as he hid his face in his jacket and groaned.

"HEY!" I heard the unmistakable voice of my lovely sister call as she barged into the gym with Takinoue and Shimada following closely behind.

"Now or never lover boy," I teased, pulling Noya off the floor as Seiko engulfed us in a bone crushing hug.

"I am so proud of you dorks!" she exclaimed, bobbing up and down as she squeezed us tighter.

"Seiko...air..." I gasped as she finally set us down and Noya looked around frantically.

"What's up Yuu? You're looking panicked," she asked as he looked down the hall and sighed.

"Uh, wheres Y/N?" he asked, ignoring her question as he turned his attention to the balcony to see if she was still up there.

"Oh, she went too the washroom and Yachi went to get her. They'll be along any minute," she explained as he let out a sigh of relief.

"Speak of the devil," I snickered as Y/N was stubbornly pulled into the gym by Yachi, a nervous look painting Noyas face as he spotted her.

~Y/N POV~

"Oh what a shame it appears my vocal chords have stopped working!" I exclaimed as Yachi dragged me towards the gym.

"Y/N, you literally just spoke," she sighed as I groaned and stubbornly walked into the gym, immediately making eye contact with the man of the hour.

"Noya!" I exclaimed as a smile plastered itself on my face (without my consent😔💔) and I dashed towards him. He didn't even hesitate before running towards me, the nervous look on his face being replaced by a large grin.

"You did so good!" I cheered as he charged into me, grabbing me by my waist and picking me up. He let out a soft laugh as he spun around, almost toppling over from the momentum.

"Heh, thanks," he said shyly, rubbing the back of his neck as he set me down and gazed at me. "But now you have to tell me your secret!"

I felt my cheeks flush with heat and I quickly looked down as I gently punched him in the shoulder.

STOP WHY AM I SO SHY ALL OF A SUDDEN?!?

"Nuh uh! First I wanna know if my cheering was loud enough for you to tell me your secret!" I demanded as he smirked and wrapped an arm around my shoulder.

"Well, I suppose it was alright," he snickered as I jabbed my fingers into his ribs.

"It was magnificent and you know it!" I exclaimed, turning away and crossing my arms.

"Fine, fine, it was great. I'll tell you," he stammered, grabbing my hand and pulling me back into the hall.

Okay Y/N, this is what you trained for! Do it!

"Okay, so...you first," he mumbled quietly as I rested against the wall.

"No, I insist," I said dramatically, bowing to show him that it was his turn first.

"Same time?" he asked hopefully, raising an eyebrow as a faint pink washed over his face.

"Fine," I agreed, hoping desperately that he'd say the same thing.

"3."

"2."

"1."

....

Silence.

"I KNEW YOU WOULDN'T SAY IT!" I cackled as we both broke out in laughter.

"YOU DIDNT SAY ANYTHING EITHER!" he shot back as I crossed my arms and glared at him.

"Okay, this time for real."

"Fine."

"3..."

My heart suddenly erupted into a thousands beats a second.

"2..."

My palms grew sweaty as I gazed at his face.

"1..."

I shut my eyes as the words slowly left my lips.

"I love you."

"I love you."

Wait, what?

I quickly opened my eyes too see him standing wide eyed, a deep red flushing his cheeks.

"You... you lov-"

I was cut off as he rushed forwards, cupping my face with his hands as his lips crashed into mine. I stood there for a moment, completely stunned before melting into the kiss.

His hands were warm and sent shivers up my spine as he caressed my cheek. His lips were soft and he tasted fresh.

The knot in my stomach completely washed away and the burning sensation in my face spread to the tops of my ears as he finally pulled away. As much as I wanted that moment too last forever, I kinda need oxygen too breath😃 #science

I slowly opened my eyes too see his smiling face brushing profusely as he gazed at me, a small twinkle in his eyes.

"Awwwww," someone cooed from the doorway, and I turned my head to see Tanaka, Hinata, Yachi, Kiyoko and Suga all peaking at us from within the gym.

"HAHAHA I TOLD YOU I WAS RIGHT! YOU DID FALL FOR EACH OTHER!" Tanaka exclaimed as the blush in my face deepened more then I thought possible, and Noya and I slowly slid apart from each other.

"Tanaka! Shut up! Just leave them be!" Suga scolded as he hit baldy over the back of his head and crossed his arms.

"You should see your guys faces right now!" Hinata exclaimed as I pulled my hood up and tightened the strings.

"I'm gonna go jump off the balcony," I announced, spinning on my heels and waltzing towards the stairs before a warm hand grabbed my arm.

"Nope. I just found out you love me so I'm not letting you do that," Noya snickered as I slouched and turned around, falling forwards as he caught me.

"I just wanted to see if I could fly."

"Aw man, I'm going to be third wheeling for the rest of my life!" Tanaka whined as he followed Noya and I out the door of the gymnasium.

"Are you forgetting about the fact that you pretty much set this up?" I asked, flicking his forehead with the hand that wasn't intertwined with Noya's.

"Pssh, we don't need to talk about that," he declared, running past us and scurrying onto the bus.

"COACHHHHH!" I exclaimed as I skipped up the steps.

"What is it kid?" he sighed, a smirk appearing on his face.

"Can I drive the bus NOW?" I asked hopefully as he laughed and shook his head.

"I'm sorry but I'd like too make it too the restaurant in one piece," he laughed as I frowned and slumped back so Noya caught me.

"I can't believe this!" I exclaimed in a British accent as he smirked and picked me up.

"I can," he snickered as I scowled and allowed him to carry me to the back of the bus.

"You guys are so cute," Yachi cooed as I jumped down from his arms and took my seat next to the window.

"Thank ya Yachi!" I exclaimed, patting her head and dropping my bag too the ground.

"Does this mean Noya will ride home with us?" Hinata asked excitedly as I shrugged and looked up at him.

"Only if you can keep up with me," he declared proudly as I rolled my eyes and poked at his face.

"Yea, okay Sonic," I scoffed as the bus pulled out of the parking lot and onto the main rode.

"What? You don't think I could beat you?" he asked slyly as I continued to poke at his face.

"Nope," I said happily, popping the 'p' as he rolled his eyes and slung his arm over his shoulder.

"Pfft, Noya! Stop acting like you weren't about to throw up before you confessed to her!" Tanaka snickered as he burst out laughing and Noya's cheeks flushed a pale pink.

"BALDY BACK OFF!" I yelled, crawling across Noya's lap and swinging at Tanaka's face as he crumpled up to try and protect himself.

"Good grief would you shut up? First the xylophone and now this?" Tsukishima grumbled as Noya burst out laughing and wrapped his arms around my torso in an attempt to pull me off Tanaka.

"OOOOO THAT REMINDS ME!" I exclaimed, drawing my attention away from Tanaka and turning it too Tsukki. "Kuroo wants all the credit for that block you got against Ushiwaka!"

"Tell him that Akaashi was nicer so I'm giving him in the credit instead," he said sternly as I rolled my eyes and let my body relax.

"Tsk tsk, he won't like that Tsukkishima," I sighed as he rolled his eyes and turned around so he was facing the front of the bus.

"Speaking of Kuroo and Akaashi, I need to update the group chat!" Tanaka exclaimed as he pulled his phone out and eagerly started tapping away at the keyboard.

"I'm calling Seiko."

"You wouldn't."

"I would."

"Fine," he grumbled, shoving his phone in his bag and crossing his arms as I smiled cheekily at him.

"You're so cute when you do that," Noya cooed as I turned my face and furrowed my brow.

"Woah there, let's not lie to ourselves," I teased as I pushed myself up and looked around the bus.

"You're getting an idea, aren't you?" he asked, raising an eyebrow as I smirked and leapt up.

"SUBWAY SURFER!" I chanted as I stood in the isle, trying to keep my balance as the bus turned down a new street.

"You're definitely gonna fall," Tanaka snickered as I turned and flipped him off.

"Pssh, yolo," I giggled as I toppled over, landing on Hinatas seat.

"I'm just gonna...." I trailed off as I slid out of the seat and collapsed on the floor while everyone on the back half of the bus laughed at me.

"Y/N, get upppp, the floor is dirtyyyy," Noya whined as he grabbed my hand and tried to pull me up.

"You're dirty," I shot back as he pulled me up and dragged me back too my seat, ignoring my comment.

"I'll play cow evolution with you if you sit down," he offered as my eyes lit up.

"Really?" I asked happily as he nodded and patted the empty space beside him which I eagerly leapt into, resting against his shoulder as I opened the app and started to play.

AYYYYY YOU FINALLY DID IT GIRL🥳 TAKE A LAP, DO A LIL DANCY DANCE💃🏽🕺🏽💃🏽🕺🏽

ANYWAYSSSS, as you all know we only have one more season of Haikyu after this so I had an idea. I'll continue to write until I reach the end of the Inarizaki game, and while we wait for the next season I'll start a sort of sequel too this book.

It would be about Y/N's life before she came to Karasuno. It would consist of her adventures in middle school and her first year of high school with Bokuto, Kuroo, Akaashi, Yukie, Kenma and others! I don't know if this is something y'all would be interested in but I think it could fun too write as a time filler.

Don't worry cause there will be a minimum of another 15 chapters of this book about the time in between now and nationals, and nationals itself! Anyways, let me know if y'all would be interested in something like that! Have a good day loves, mwah🥰
