~Y/N POV~

"Hey guys!" Yachi exclaimed as we made our way up to the stands where Shimada, Takinoue, Seiko and another tall boy stood.

"BIG SIS!" I cheered as I ran up to her, being engulfed in a bone crushing hug.

"Y/N, HEY!" she exclaimed, setting me down as I looked to the tall boy behind her.

"And, who would this be?" I asked, raising an eyebrow.

"I'm Akiteru Tsukkishima. I'm Kei's older brother," he said happily as I gasped and looked down to the dino on the court.

"Mango fluff has a brother?" I asked eagerly as Seiko burst out laughing.

"That's what we all said!" she laughed.

"Well, I'm Y/N L/N, but you can call me her highness," I declared happily.

"Y/N? Oh, hi!" a woman's voice called from a few rows up in the stands. I turned to see none other then miss, standing on a small platform in between seats with the vice principal.

My eyes lit up and I eagerly waved to her.

"HIYA MISS! I DIDN'T KNOW YOU WERE COMING!" I exclaimed as she smiled and nodded.

"Yes, well, as much chaos as you three cause, I felt as though I had to come see the boys play," she explained as I nodded and looked down on the court where Noya and Tanaka were warming up.

"They'll be happy to know you were here!" I declared as she smiled and turned around to the large group of students behind her.

"You know everyone, everywhere, don't you?" Shimada sighed as I nodded and looked down on the court just in time to see the starting line ups being announced.

"And number 4, libero, Yuu Nishinoya," the announcer said as Noya came running onto the court, high fiving each of the coaches before giving everyone as a slap on the back.

"YEA, GO VOLLEYBALL NERDS!" I cheered as the announcer moved onto Shiritorizawa's line up.

"Okay, are we sure Shiritorizawa's coach is alive? He looks like he just rolled out of a tomb," I snickered as the announcer introduced Shiritorizawa's coach.

"Aw man, you always know how to lighten the mood huh kid?" Seiko asked slyly as I nodded and continued to eye the sack of disintegrating flesh by the court. (fr tho, mans looks like he's gonna be down in hell any day now😭)

"Yea, well, it looks like our guys are ready to go," Shimada sighed as the teams grouped into their huddles.

"Shiritorizawa's done this a hundred times before, but this is our boys first time here," Takinoue added.

"It's their first final which means they've never played a five set match before," Akiteru announced, catching Seiko and I's attention.

"Five sets?" Seiko gasped.

"Jeez, that's ridiculous," I sighed.

"That's true. Until now they've always played best 2/3. But during this game it'll be best 3/5 like how they do it at the professional matches," Shimada explained, raising his fingers to demonstrate the number sets.

"Aw man they're gonna be exhausted!" Seiko exclaimed.

"Yea, but I bet Tanaka will still find a way to piss me off," I grumbled as the starting line ups made their way onto the court.

"Hah, he definitely will," Yachi laughed in agreement.

"Hang on, this looks like a different line up. Hinatas in the back row," Shimada pointed out. I peered down too see that he was indeed correct. The usual line up was the same except for the fact that Hinata and Tsukishima had swapped places.

"They're probably trying to put the tall guys in the front row to combat Ushiwaka," Takinoue thought out loud as I eyed the tall boy with green hair.

"I don't get why they're so afraid of him. I mean, he literally has grass for hair!" I exclaimed as Seiko and Yachi burst out laughing.

"Aw man, Ryu told me you were going to have a field day with that guy!" Seiko exclaimed as she slapped me on the back.

"It's what I do," I said slyly, adding on a Debby Ryan smirk for good measure. 😏🤏🏼

The starting whistle blew as the entire gym went silent, and Daichi tossed up the first serve. It was received by some kid with very unfortunate bangs and, not at all surprisingly, set to Ushiwaka.

He eyed the ball for a moment as Asahi, Tsukki and Kageyama readied themselves at the net, waiting for the perfect moment to block him. He slammed the ball right past the block too where Noya was positioned.

My mouth dropped open and I completely froze as the ball ricocheted off his arms, flying past his face and slamming into the wall. Noya froze as well, looking over his shoulder with an astonished look as the ball rolled around on the floor.

"WHAT THE HELL WAS THAT?" I gasped as Shiritorizawa's cheering section erupted into applause while Karasuno's stayed silent, bewildered by the power just presented to us.

"His power is incredible, far beyond that of a typical high school athlete," Shimada sighed as someone from Shiritorizawa got a service ace against Daichi.

"Aw man, what's with them?" Seiko gronaed as the same server got another ace, this time against Tanaka and Asahi who froze when they saw they were both going for the ball.

"Alright, that went up nicely!" Shimada exclaimed as the boys finally managed to get a ball up. The toss went to Tsukki who was unfortunately dug up by bangs kid. Once again, the toss went to Ushiwaka who slammed the ball down against Noya, making him topple over.

Come on Noya. What's with you?

"Oh man! Is the guy in the number 1 jersey left handed?" Seiko gasped as she eyed Ushiwaka.

"That's right! It's pretty rare too so it's like he was chosen to be the ace," Takinoue declared. "Ushiwaka plays a position called the opposite, where he is located opposite of his setter. Karasuno's opposite would be Daichi. Opposites typically don't receive much or block, and their main goal is too attack."

"We used to call them, super aces," Akiteru sighed as Ushiwaka crushed another ball down on our side of the court.

"I get that the bastard is big and tall but is being a lefty really that much of an advantage?" Seiko grumbled as she set her chin on the railing.

"Wait! We finally scored!" Yachi cheered as Tanaka landed a hard spike right between two blockers.

"Yea! Thats my bro!" Seiko cheered before looking back to Shimada. "So, what's so special about him being left handed?"

"Mmm, okay. Because players usually face right handed opponents, it can make things tricky when facing a left handed one," Shimada explained.

"For example, when a single blocker jumps, they aline their body with the spiders dominant hand. Our guys have to shift their position, and hope that they can block it in time," Takinoue added as Ushiwaka landed yet another spike, right over Tsukishima's block.

"But that doesn't explain why Noya can't receive his spikes. I mean, I know they're powerful but c'mon It's Noya!" I exclaimed as another one blew past his arms.

"That probably has something to do with the balls rotation. When a left handed player hits, it will spin differently then when a right handed player does, changing the momentum and pull of the ball," Akiteru thought out loud.

"Aw man, Noya never has this much trouble!" Seiko exclaimed sadly as I gazed down at the libero.

"Shiritorizawa is starting to land regular attacks as well," Shimada added as one of their middle blockers snuck in for a quick attack.

"Hopefully they can learn to adapt to Ushiwaka's spikes, and start to counter them," Yachi sighed.

"Yea well, at least my brother remains calm in high pressure situations. He'll figure it out," Akiteru said confidently as Shiritorizawa missed a serve.

"Ugh, finally we catch a break," I sighed, looking down to the scoreboard. 15-8 for Shiritorizawa. Nuh uh, I need to know Noya's big secret.

"Come on guys!" Yachi cheered as a technical timeout was reached, and the boys wandered over to the bench.

"HEY NOYA! PICK UP HIS SPIKES OR I WON'T GIVE YOU CANDY FOR A WEEK!" I called as he looked up from his conversation with Ennoshita and Hinata, a cute smile appearing on his face.

"Oh yea? I guess I've gotta get to work then!" he snickered in response as I nodded and crossed my arms.

"Atta boy!" I smiled as he laughed and ran back onto the court.

"Oh man, he's up to serve?" Seiko groaned as I looked to the service line where grass head himself stood.

"Aw man, I thought he didn't do anything but score points," I grumbled as he tossed the ball up.

He took a few steps forwards before leaping into the air, holding perfect form as he swung and sent the ball screaming through the air. Daichi got in position to receive, but when the ball made contact with his arms his platform was pulled apart, and the ball flew off in the other direction.

"I just don't get it. This guy is in high school?" Seiko breathed.

"This is getting hard to watch," Takinoue added on as I scowled and looked to the boy who was up to serve again. He doesn't look like some superstar player. Sure, he's pretty tall and obviously in excellent shape, but he doesn't look like someone who would be able to deal so much damage by himself.

"Wait, look," I exclaimed as I pointed to Noya, "he's ready."

As if he'd heard what I'd said, he lunged to the side and stuck his arms out as Ushiwaka sent another serve flying over the net. It crashed down onto his wrists and rebounded into the air, spinning around a thousand times as it made its way to Kageyama.

"HE DID IT! YEA, GO NOYA!" I cheered ecstatically as he watched the ball go up. Kageyama eyed the ball closely, jumping up as if he was going to spike before changing to a set mid air. He sent the toss in Tanaka's direction who was able to crush the ball down, cleanly dodging the solo blocker.

"Look! Hinatas in!" Seiko exclaimed as my ginger eagerly came running onto the court, and Suga subbed in to serve for Tsukki.

"He must be thrilled," Yachi sighed happily as he took his rightful place at the net.

"Get us some points!" Seiko cheered.

"Yea! Let's go Hinata! Crush their asses!" I yelled as he looked up and smiled at me. I smiled back and gave him a thumbs up as Suga tossed his serve.

The ball went right towards Ushiwaka, but instead, another player stepped in a took the serve for him.

"He really doesn't go for any of those serves," Seiko gasped as we watched the other boy set the ball up.

"He's probably getting ready for a back row attack," Shimada decided as the setter reached the ball. However, the setter didn't toss to Ushiwaka. Instead, their tall middle blocker with red hair came running up, waiting until our boys had jumped to block before leaping up and swinging on a clean ball.

"Gagh! That guy has tomato juice for hair he shouldn't be allowed to score," I grumbled as Suga and Tsukkishima switched out again and Noya retook his place on the court.

"So it's not just Ushiwaka who you plan on bullying today," Takinoue snickered as I nodded proudly.

Next, Shiritorizawa's server hit the ball too hard, missing his serve and giving us a free point.

Kageyama then proceeded to get a service ace which seemed to boost the teams moral. However, it was quickly countered on the next serve when the kid with bangs nailed a super tight straight shot.

Unfortunately, this play put Shiritorizawa at match point. If our boys make one mistake, then this set will be lost. Noya managed too dig up another of Ushiwaka's spikes which I cheered VERY loudly for. Seiko kinda had to hold me back cause I probably would've fallen over the railing.

Somehow, Ushiwaka managed to receive one of Hinatas super quick attacks with almost perfect form.

"GAGH! I thought he doesn't do that!" Seiko whined in a dramatic voice.

"I thought he was all offence and no defence," I muttered in return as he landed a spike through a three man block, taking the first set for Shiritorizawa.
