"Spill it already," Blake said, as he stopped typing on his lap top.

"What?" I asked confused.

"I know something is bugging you. You have that look on your face when you are dying to say something but try and contain it." Blake lifted his brow as telling me I thought so when I nodded.

Damn! He knows me so well by now.

"So, what is it?"

"Your father?" I hinted and his face got pale, taken by surprise then anger and sadness consumed his eyes." If you don't want to talk about it, its ok I just never heard you or Ella talk about him s--"

He cut me off after taking a deep breath." No, I will tell you. You already trusted me with so many secrets in your life even though I know how hard it was for you considering your trust issues so it will only be fair for me if I told you the one secret about me." I nodded in understanding waiting for him to start when he feels like it.

"So my mom was dating that guy, who was my father and they were so happy together, even so, he had so many secrets and never brought up his family nor introduced her to them and that was strange to her considering they have been dating for a year and a half." He sighed then continued."Anyways when she found that she was pregnant. She was beyond happy that she will start her own family with the love of her life so she went to tell him the exciting news but she didn't get the reaction she imagined from him. As soon as he heard those words his face fell and darkened and he held her wrist roughly telling her that she has to get rid of it. At first, she thought he was joking but when she looked in his eyes she knew that he was serious. She didn't want to get rid of her baby, she didn't dare to kill a soul, let alone two but she didn't know that she was having twins yet. When she rejected to get rid of us he snapped at her slapping her harshly on the face telling her that he is already married for two years and his wife just informed him that she is pregnant too and he was just having fun with my naive mom and that he is rich so no one will believe a poor woman like her and he can't ruin his public image so he won't do anything with us. She got frustrated from his lying ass and for using her for that long, playing with her feelings while he was a married man let alone he made both of them pregnant so she slapped him hard spat at him and told him that she will be better off without him and will raise her baby on her own not bringing up that he ever had a father." He took a deep breath his eyes are broken and sad for his poor mother while I felt the same for that strong woman so I held his hand squeezing it in a comforting manner. "And that's it. My mom raised us alone and never made us feel like we needed anything or that we needed that man. We also took her family name as she said she doesn't want to connect us with him in any possible way and we are better off not knowing his name. we really didn't mind after all he dumped us and wanted mom to kill us so fuck him."

"Well, your mother is a really strong woman, For raising the both of you perfectly and reaching high in her career. Also, you don't need that scum of a man. It's his loss anyway." I shrugged on the last part.

"Yeah, he can have fun with his money."

"He reminds me of my asshole father. Same rich manic men." I stated disgustingly and he nodded.

"Back to work now!" Blake said clapping his hands. Clearly wanting to get rid of the depressing mood.

"Nerd!" I teased.

"I am just thinking of my future." He shrugged then we started working on our project.

After Sally brought us some food and we worked a bit on our project I felt my phone vibrate in my back pocket.

Unlocking it. I saw a message pop on the screen.

Reading the name of the sender only made my smile grow uncontrollably.

"Loverboy?" Blake's lips curled into a playful smirk as I averted my gaze from my phone to him.

"How would you know?"

"From the wide smile on your face." I blushed at his statement thinking about how Jason makes me smile without any effort." I am really happy that he can make you smile genuinely. Because I am dying to see the old funny happy Mia that Jass and Jason are always talking about."

"Yeah me too." I miss the old happy Mia.

Later on Blake and I stopped working and started talking about anything.

"Jason is here. I will be going now." I started gathering my things then made my way downstairs.

"Okay and text me as soon as you arrive," Blake said gifting me a goodbye hug.

I opened the house door then remembered. "Oh and thank Sally for the delicious food, also tell her that I will be seeing her soon again." I waved.

"Will do." Blake chuckled promising to tell her after she wakes up from her nap.

"So how was the project?" Jason asked pecking my forehead while I was putting the seat belt.

"Good." I shrugged.

"I know you suck at Bio, so, by good you mean he is doing all the work ." He said smiling teasingly while driving out of Blake's neighborhood.

"Well, when you put it like that." I ran a hand through my hair and he chuckled.

"So, mom wants to have you spending this weekend with her to spend some quality mother-daughter time. She misses you a lot."

"I miss her too and tell her I will be there."

"I will spend the weekend with you too and Jass will spend it with Adrian anyways because her parents are on a business trip," Jason said as he rested our intertwined hands on his thigh while I nodded.

So, the weekend with Jason and his family?

I mean I am okay with his family because I really miss them.

But with Jason, I still have my doubts.

It won't be easy for me to return to what we were.

It's so damn complicated and hard!
