I open the door to see a man on top of a whimpering Layla, she only has her underwear on and he only has pants on. I can tell exactly what's going on here and I don't like it one bit. Red is desperately trying to gain control, but I am not killing another man even if he is not innocent.

"Please Ryan, don't do this. I'm not ready," Layla begs

"Baby you've said that for the past year, I'm sick of it. I need someone to love and you aren't giving me that by not making love to me!" He snarls

"Then dump me, don't do this to me. Find someone who will screw with you," Layla spits her temper rising

"Don't speak to me like that, now I'm not going to go easy on you," Ryan snaps

Ryan lowers his head and kisses Layla's breasts, and Red starts snarling at me. Then Ryan moves down to Layla's underwear he pulls it off and then starts unbuckling his pants, I notice Layla is handcuffed to the bed and silently curse. I step out of the shadows and knock Ryan in the head he falls to the ground loudly, when he moves to stand up I kick him in the face causing his nose to crack, I smile satisfied. He stumbles into standing and throws a punch, I easily dodge it and punch him back 10 times harder, repeatedly. Soon he is out cold.

"Well that was easy," I mutter, then turn to Layla.

She is still shaking and naked and my wolf and I are very turned on, but I push all of my dirty thoughts away and move towards her slowly. I rip off the handcuffs and she crawls into a corner of the bed, curling up in a ball.

"Layla you don't need to be scared of me," I say quietly

"Please don't come near me," she whimpers

"I am coming near you but I promise I won't hurt you," I reply slowly

"Ryan promised me that he would never take advantage of me, and look what he was going to do," she replies her eyes flaring

"Alright then do you want me to get Bell?" I ask

"No! I don't want to wreck her night," she says sadly

"Well then you need to come with me," I reply leaving no room for argument

"Okay," she mutters dejectedly

"And put some clothes on," I say turning around

"Ryan ripped my clothes," she states

"Here, have my jacket" I say softly putting it around her shoulders, my hand brushes her shoulder and my fingers tingle for some reason.

"Come on, I'll carry you to my room," I say

"Why?" she asks

"Because then people will hopefully think we want some 'alone' time and leave us alone" I explain

"Okay" she says reluctantly

I swiftly pick her up bridal style and carry her to my room, a few doors down. She snuggles into me, visibly relaxing and Red howls in delight. I place her on my bed, and she sits up looking at me with her beautiful chocolate brown eyes.

"Thank you," she says looking down

"So what are we going to do now?" she asks still avoiding eye contact.

"You are going to sleep here, for tonight and I will sleep on the couch. Then we can talk about what to do with Ryan," I answer tilting her chin to face me

"N-no you should sleep in your bed, I will sleep on the couch," Layla stutters

"If you don't mind we can both sleep on the bed?" I ask permission

"Um.....okay," she says quietly after thinking it over.

I give Layla a shirt and shorts, then I get into bed. I lay on my side, then wait for her to join me. Layla comes out of the bathroom, then stands at the edge of the bed thinking. After 2 minutes she crawls into bed right next to me, she snuggles into me and I sigh feeling content.

"Goodnight Layla," I whisper a little breathless

"Night prince charming," she replies

And for the first time in 2 years I had a perfect night sleep, no nightmares and no reliving memories.
