《Whispers ~ Dream SMP War x Reader》Part 39

Our group scattered to avoid the rain of arrows. Flaming arrows pierced the ground, missing their targets by inches.
One came a few inches away from my foot, setting the green grass on fire. I snapped my head up, eyeing the person who had fired the arrow. I glared at the smiley face mask that stared back at me.
Dream smirked at my glare. He was messing with me. I rolled my eyes, running to where the group was swarming around Tommy.
The boy leaned off the ladder, a serious look on his face, "Storm the tower! Storm the tower!"
Tubbo yelled the same thing after him as people scrambled up. Ghost looked up to hear his command. I was the last on the ground, staring my dog down, "Wait here. If we jump down, come find me."
He darted into the tower's opening as I made my way upward. I sent my magic out across the nation, searching. It brushed against the dark, foreign magic slightly above us. Schlatt was on the tower.
Chaos was playing out in front of me on the second floor. People were fighting in pairs all around me. My ears were filled with sounds of metal on metal and shouts.
I caught sight of the horned man across the platform, pushing off of Tommy's sword. The president was wearing armor for the first time and clutching a sword. He had a malicious look on his face, spinning around Tommy.
The few fighting for Manberg ran from whoever they were fighting, sprinting towards the edge. Each clutched a circular item, ender pearls. We chased after them, but they disappeared into particles.
Schlatt was the last atop the tower, still fighting Tommy. Others began closing in on them, my eyes glued to the horned man. He seemed to sense me, turning slightly to make eye contact.
He smirked as he sidestepped Tommy and pulled out his own pearl. As he chucked it, he ended up behind Tommy. The boy was a moment too late, getting hands shoved into his back. Schlatt disappeared as the boy tumbled forwards, off the tower.
Several people screamed, one much louder than the others, rushing forwards to attempt to grab him before he fell. Tubbo was shrieking, watching helplessly as his best friend fell. I kneeled over the side of the tower, yanking at strings and wind.
Tubbo's screams were cut short, morphing into cheers. A strong wind cut around us as it dove down towards the boy. I had pulled Tommy's white wings out for a moment, allowing him to land safely.
He swooped low, letting out a victorious scream. His wings spread wide with the rush of wind.
While others pulled out their own pearls to jump off the tower, I just stood. I backed up a step to get a running start. My eyes were glued to the spot that Tommy was now standing, admiring his wings.
A few stared wide-eyed at me as I raced towards the edge. I felt someone's hand brush my arm to attempt to grab me, but missed by a hair. I spun around as I fell, seeing Techno staring over the side at me.
I saluted him, screaming out in determination. The rush of adrenaline raced through me. I plummeted towards the earth, getting scooped up at the last second. My wind carried me towards the small wheat farm the Tommy stood in.
My wind placed me next to the boy with a running start. I laughed at the shock that was plain across my friend's face. He broke into a huge smile, "That was awesome!" I laughed, pulling his wings back in after a moment.

Tubbo and Techno appeared next to us in a haze of purple shards. Techno just shook his head amusingly at me. I shrugged, turning back towards the nation.
Our group now had the higher ground. We had been able to overtake the tower with ease and also gain the upper hand. We had made it further than I thought.
I tugged my bow off my back, grasping at a few harming arrows. The others mirrored my movements. We held steady, waiting. Tommy clutched his own crossbow, yelling, "Open fire!"
Immediately following his words, dozens of arrows raced towards the figures in the distance. The figures darted around to try and avoid the arrows while trying to shoot back at us. What ones did hit, bounced off of our armor.
While everyone else was just trying to hit whoever they could, I set my eyes on one man. He was darting around, firing arrows towards us when he got the chance. I took a deep breath, tracking his movements with my eyes while holding my bow taut.
My instincts kicked in, rushing through my veins with the adrenaline. Despite the adrenaline and strong magic, my hand was steady.
I lit the arrow on fire a second before I released it. The flaming arrow arced through the sky, flying towards an empty spot.
Like I had thought, Schlatt ran away from other arrows, directly into my own arrow's path. It pierced into the small gap between his chest plate and bracer. He grimaced, snapping his horned head in my direction.
I smirked. I knew he knew it was me, for the arrow was slightly different than the others. Along with the harming dipped tip, the flames that danced across it were dark blue. Matching my signature navy blue hoodie.
I could faintly see the red shards that burst from the arrow. Even though the darkness didn't allow Schlatt to feel pain, it would slow him down.
Ghost appeared at my side, his body tense. I faintly heard someone yell to push, so I snapped my bow onto my back. Tommy ran forwards with his sword raised above his head. He was running directly towards Dream.
I ignored the two, not taking my eyes off Schlatt. I broke into a sprint down the hill, my black boots hitting the ground hard. Ghost ran beside me as I whistled for him to follow. When he was a puppy, I taught him commands and whistles.
Schlatt finally ripped the arrow from his arm in a harsh tug. He threw it to the ground as he turned to me. A dark smile covered his face.
He slightly bent his knees, bringing his sword up. The sword was an orangish color with a black liquid dripping down it. It was the same copper sword that had shoved the darkness into me.
A single drop of fear slipped through me. But it was quickly washed away with my adrenaline and confidence. My magic and body were stronger now, I could beat him.
I whistled twice, making Ghost slow behind me. He would watch until he saw an opportunity to attack. He began to circle the two of us with his teeth bared.
I slowed my running as well, coming to a stop in front of the horned man. His signature black mist began to ripple around, not only him but behind me as well. It circled around us. Closing us in.
My magic was beginning to burn with restraint. It wanted to rip through Schlatt more than me. I bit back at it, speaking to him, "Well, well, I didn't think I would see you here."

He smirked as we began to move in a slow circle. His pitch-black eyes darted between me and the wolf, "Where else would I be, darling? I would never miss the chance to see you."
I eyed the black ooze dripping from his arrow wound. A darkness that was void of any light replaced normal red blood. The dark gods were putting all their powers into the shell of this man.
I shrugged, keeping my arms steady in case of attack, "I thought maybe you would be too much of a coward to show your face. I suspected you would hole up somewhere with your precious alcohol."
Amusement vanished off his face. Dark wrath replaced it, his words cold, "I'm not a coward. The dark gods chose me for a reason."
I smirked, "And there's a reason the good gods chose me." Immediately following my words, I launched at the man. He was ready, twirling away from me.
We moved as if we were in a dance. Each of us took swings on the other without gaining purchase. Ghost still circled, waiting. He would bark if Schlatt ever made a move I didn't see to give me a warning.
Our swords banged together, sparks flying. I gritted my teeth and pushed with as much strength as I could muster. Schlatt did the same, leaning into the sword. As his face got closer to mine, I could smell the awful scent of alcohol clinging to him.
I quickly leaned back, throwing him slightly off balance. I leaned sideways, swinging my sword towards his already wounded arm. His eyes widened as he saw my movements. He twisted away at the last moment, my sword catching his suit.
Out of the corner of my eye, I could see the black mist becoming much darker and thicker. As if he was releasing more of his magic. It was beginning to look like the dark walls that had surrounded me on election day.
Something snapped in him. He snarled, any human part of him disappearing. Black spikes ripped out around him, racing towards me.
I released the burning magic that had been waiting. Ruby flames crackled into place around me as a makeshift shield. The dark spikes dissolved as they tried to pierce through the flame wall.
The flames encased me in a circle, Ghost now at my side. Black was the only thing I could see outside the three of us. I couldn't hear any sounds from the outside. The rebellion could be winning or losing and I wouldn't know.
Flames wrapped around my sword. A slight warmth began to fill me up, signaling the presence of the gods. Their presence only strengthened me, making me take a step forward.
Schlatt's voice no longer sounded human, "I thought we made a deal, darling. We are on each other's sides."
I rolled my eyes, yelling, "Schlatt I was never on your side. As far as I know, I was brought into this world to destroy the very thing that is inside of you."
His horns glowed slightly with the reflection of my flames. His dark eyes had a strange silver glow to them, "Well you won't succeed." A sharp spear of black pushed through my flames, aiming for me.
My eyes widened slightly, my instincts taking over. Ghost barked a warning to me. I flung myself away from the spike, onto the now brown grass.
I gritted my teeth to stop from screaming. It had aimed for my heart but because I moved, it struck my side. The side that had been stabbed recently. Just my luck.
My flames flickered slightly, pushing back against the pressing darkness. The warmth inside of me began to glow around me, pushing back any darkness that made it past my shield. The skin around the wound tore slightly.
I swore under my breath and pushed myself into a standing position. I could feel triumph radiating off of Schlatt in waves.
My sword pulsed in my hands, my magic still burning through it. An idea struck me.
Schlatt sauntered towards me, the darkness following him like a cape. He stuck out his lip in a pouty face, "C'mon y/n, just give up already. I know that hurt. It would be so much easier if you joined me."
I scowled at him, my words dripping with acid, "Schlatt, I have told you this before and I still stand by it. I will never join you."
He shrugged, amusement dancing on his face, "Fine. But just know, I tried. The dark gods would have treated you kindly but now," He chuckled, "They will destroy you."
A wall of darkness sped towards me. I closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing. Ghost gave me another warning, but it sounded far away. I pushed into my magic, deeper than I ever had before.
I sent a wave of magic out, pushing outside of the dark walls. It carried a message towards Tommy and Tubbo, telling them to get the hell away from me. It also swam towards my friends who fought on the Manberg side.
Just as the dark magic dissolved my flames, light exploded all around me. From flame and lightning alike. The loudest thunder I had ever heard rumbled from outside. Even Ghost was slightly spooked by it.
My light ripped through Schlatt's darkness, racing for his heart. He screamed, throwing up his arms. Darkness followed his movements, a shield forming around him. My ruby light picked it apart.
A small hole opened up in his shield near his leg. My three whistles sharply pierced the air. Ghost obeyed, lunging for the small opening to sink his teeth into the man's leg.
Shouts and sounds of battle were returning, but I ignored them. I stalked up to the man in front of me as my light ripped the final shred of his shield away.
He looked defeated and small. The darkness was fleeing from his eyes, totally dissolving. My light was wrapping around him, trying to push the darkness out of him.
He glared at me, his body was frozen in place from my magic. Before he could say anything, I pulled my arm back swiftly. My fist connected squarely in his jaw.
My voice sounded raw and powerful as I spoke, "That's for exiling Tommy and Wilbur."
I pulled back again, hitting him in the cheek. I leaned in towards his face, raising my voice, "That's for what you did to Tubbo and Quackity." Emotion was ripping through me at the memories of bruises and welts.
The dark walls were dissolving now, the blue sky appearing. I didn't notice, but streaks of lightning were piercing the sky despite there not being a single cloud in sight. They were centered around me, hitting the ground.
I pulled back one final time, aiming for his nose. I forced as much strength as I could into the punch. A small crack emitted when I made contact, "And that's for what you did to me."
Normal, red blood dribbled from his nose. The last of the darkness was leaving his body. Despite how crippled he now looked, he scowled at me, "Get the hell away from me."
I smirked, releasing him from my magic's grip. He wasn't a threat anymore. Now that the darkness was gone, "With pleasure, darling."
The walls were now completely gone, fights still continuing around me. I didn't pay attention to them. My gaze was glued on the crumpled man in front of me.
His black mist disappeared, along with the liquid that had previously dripped from his sword. It was gone, I had done it.
I beat the darkness.
Whispers of celebration and warmth echoed through my head. I could feel the presence of the gods growing further away, yet I heard their applauds.

Tommy pov
Tommy pressed his sword into Dream's with all his strength. The masked man pulled back, about to swing. The boy braced his arms out of instinct. They had been fighting for what felt like forever, but the rebellion was slowly beginning to push them back.
But Dream paused.
Tommy gave him a confused look, pulling back his own sword to swing. Something out of the corner of his eye stopped him.
The previous sphere of darkness that y/n and Schlatt were fighting in disappeared. Lightning was dancing above their fighting, coming from nowhere and vanishing into nothing. He had gotten the wave of her magic, spinning his fight with Dream farther away from the sphere moments earlier.
What he saw made him totally ignore Dream. He lowered his sword to stare.
Y/n now stood tall in front of Schlatt who was on his knees. Dark tendrils rose from him like smoke, disappearing. His darkness was fleeing.
Blood and bruises decorated his face as he hung his head low.
And y/n, who bent to pet her wolf, didn't seem to notice what danced around her head. Vines of flames and electricity intertwined, forming a crown around her forehead. It spread, circling her head.
"Holy shit," Tommy muttered, tracking Schlatt with his eyes. The man crawled away from the girl, not glancing back. He pulled himself up, bursting into a sprint.
Y/n simply watched, tucking her sword into its sheath. Her eyes were glazed over, her chest rising and falling rapidly.
He could feel Dream's slight movement as the girl dropped to her knees. But he stopped when he realized that there was still a war to fight.
Wilbur's shouts pulled him back to reality, the sounds of war encasing his ears. Swords were colliding with other weapons along with shields. His brothers were somewhere to his left, locked in combat with Sam and Purpled. His shouts were clear over the noise, "You're winning, you're winning!"
Tommy snapped back into a stance, Dream mirroring him. He swung his sword, cutting low for Tommy's legs. Bursts of colors were exploding all around him from Techno's crossbow.
There was still a nation to be won back.
The fighting continued as if a war between gods wasn't just won.

Industrial Strength Magic
Perry Z has a Magical Destiny.Born to a Magical Fantasy Princess and a nine-to-five Supervillain, Perry's never felt...adequate. He's completely magically dull, and without a scrap of superpowers. When The System boots, he's forced to follow in his father's footsteps, but he'd rather take after his mother.Maybe there's a way he can do both... This is Macronomicon's take on a lighthearted slice-of-life superhero story. It is one of mine, though. So...you should know what you're getting into =P The Worldbuilding is primarily inspired by Superminion, which was in turn inspired by Worm. The explicit content tags are so if I decide to dip a little dark later down the line, you can't say I didn't warn ya. Except the cussing. That's there from the beginning. I tried to tone it down but a little just slipped in there.
