y/n pov
When I woke up the next morning, Dream was gone but Patches still laid at my side. I scratched her under the chin, her purr vibrating through me, "Good morning pretty girl."
I stretched, standing from the bed. I glanced at the clock above the door, it was nearly midday. I walked through the quiet halls, reaching the kitchen. On the counter sat a note,
Y/n! Karl and I went to go gather resources, we'll be back by dinner!
-Sapnap
I smiled, glad that Sapnap was getting to spend some alone time with his crush. George was still asleep so instead of staying in the house bored, I decided to head to Pogtopia. Before I headed out, I grabbed a bag from the kitchen and filled it with something.
I walked to Pogtopia, my sword swaying at my side. When I reached it, Carl was missing from his spot, meaning that Techno wasn't around. The small room inside was empty, warm light wafting in from the open door. The temperature dropped as I descended the stairs.
As soon as I had exited the staircase that led into the ravine, I could hear Tommy and Tubbo's voices from within. I smiled, happy that they were together again. I glanced around for Wilbur, not seeing him anywhere. Maybe that was a good thing.
A small part of me was worried about the boys being around the man while he was like this. I knew that his mental state was hurting not only him but also Tommy and Tubbo. Their faithful leader had taken a deep decline.
Tubbo's laugh echoed against the walls, "It's alright Tommy, it isn't that bad."
"It looks bloody awful! What do you mean 'it's not that bad'!"
I came around the corner, slapping a hand over my mouth, "Tommy what happened?" I kept my hand in place, trying to hide my smile. Tommy had a deep purple bruise spread across his eye, making him squint.
The two turned to me, one more agitated than the other. Tubbo struggled to hide his smile, while Tommy glared at me. The latter crossed his arms, "I got in a fight."
Tubbo giggled, "No he didn't. He ran into a branch."
For Tommy's sake, I bit down on my laugh. The amusement didn't stay out of my voice though, "That branch really got you good, didn't it?"
Tommy rolled his eyes, walking away. He was muttering select words under his breath. Tubbo and I glanced at each other, freeing the laugh from me. I doubled down on my knees, hearing the boy's laugh echo mine.
When we composed ourselves, we followed Tommy into their makeshift bedroom. He sat on his bed, sharpening his sword. He glanced up, giving us a dirty look.
I composed my face, walking over to him, "Here Tommy, let me help you." I laid my hand on his cheek, the boy complying for once. I closed my eyes, tunneling into his mind.
As I was fixing his bruise, I felt something in the back of Tommy's brain. My magic became curious, creeping towards the source. When it brushed against it, I gasped.

I opened my eyes, both of the boys looking curiously at me. Tommy's eye was now fully open, the deep purple changed back to his pale color.
I laughed, the two boys glancing between each other. I smiled at Tommy, "We need to go to the highest place you know of."
-
We now stood atop a tall mountain, a cool breeze whipping around us. I ignored the chill that ran down my spine, taking a step towards the edge. When I peeked over, some of the snow that was under our feet fell over.
I looked back over at the boys, smiling, "Yup, this is tall enough."
Both boys had a concerned look on their faces, glancing around. Tommy crossed his arms, "Y/n, why the hell are we up here? The sun's starting to set, I wanna go home."
I rolled my eyes, walking back towards them. Tubbo chuckled nervously, "You aren't about to throw us off this mountain are you?"
I smiled, "I'm not throwing you off Tubbo, but Tommy's not getting off this mountain the way we came up." Tubbo's eyes widened, taking a step towards Tommy.
Tommy's face hardened, waving his hands up, "What the hell!"
I cut him off, holding up my hand, "It's not like that. Let me show you." I walked over to them, placing a hand on Tommy's arm. He glared at me suspiciously, Tubbo practically clinging to him.
I smiled at him, "Tommy, have you ever wanted to fly?" He looked at Tubbo quickly as I closed my eyes. I let my magic into his mind, finding that strange source in the back of his mind. My magic wrapped around it, pulling it towards the outside of Tommy's mind.
I heard the two gasp, a light ruffling sound following their words.
I opened my eyes, smiling at the sight before me.
White, feathery wings spread from Tommy's back. They were longer than his arm span, extending past his fingertips. A few soft feathers floated to the floor, landing on the snow.
Tommy began screaming, running in circles trying to look at them. Tubbo just stood, staring at his best friend in shock. I grasped on to Tommy's arm once more to make him stop running, "Tommy, breathe!"
He stared at me a moment, before bursting into a frenzy, "How did you do- wh- what the hell!" He paused for a moment, glancing at the wings, "What the hell are these?"
"Well, Tommy, didn't your father have wings?" His blue eyes widened, shock rippling through them, "It seems that you have them as well."
A small silence followed my words, a smile growing on the boy's face. Tubbo broke the silence, his voice filled with excitement, "You have wings!"
Tommy turned to his friend, practically jumping up and down, "I have wings!" I laughed, warmth spreading through me despite the snow around us.
Before I could stop him, the boy ran towards the edge, spreading his wings. Tubbo and I glanced at each other quickly, rushing towards where Tommy was headed. "Tommy don't! You don't know how-"

My words died as the boy launched himself off the ledge. He screamed, disappearing as he plummeted down. Tubbo and I race towards the edge, peering over the side. I summoned wind, ready to catch his fall.
I paused the wind that would save him, my lips turning upwards.
Tubbo and I leaned back, cheering as Tommy shot skywards. He let out a victory whoop, shooting his arms up. His wings carried him, spreading under the colorful sky. The colors of the setting sun gave his wings a warm orange color.
Tubbo laughed, his head tipping backward. I tracked the flying boy with my eyes, keeping the wind at the ready. I knew I would have to put his wings away after this, so I let him have his fun doing flips and turns.
After a little while, the stars began to come out, dancing among the dark sky. Tommy landed in front us us, his cheeks pink from the chill. A huge smile was plastered on his face, his blue eyes clearer than before.
"Well, that was bloody cool!"
-
By the time we got back to Pogtopia, Tubbo and Tommy were laughing wildly, teasing each other. I had retracted Tommy's wings, much to his dismay. I had to explain to him that wings would not be ideal in war.
I waved goodbye to the two as they headed off to 'bed'. I smiled, hearing as they laughed and continued to talk, definitely not going to sleep.
Wilbur was sleeping on his old jacket further down the ravine, getting some much needed sleep. Maybe getting some sleep would help his mental state. I was careful not to make noise as I walked past him, towards a soft light coming from a room.
I peeked my head into the potato farm, smiling when I saw Techno. He was farming once again, not noticing I was there. I silently moved into the room, leaning against the wall. I clutched the small bag in my hands, picking it up from where I had left it before.
I opened my mouth to say something but Techno said, with his back turned to me, "I heard you come in."
My mouth dropped, "How? I was so quiet!"
He turned, smirking at me. He pointed to his delicately pointed ears, "I have better hearing than you."
I rolled my eyes, kicking off the wall. I walked over to him, holding out the bag. He looked at it curiously, looking up at me, "What's that?" I bit down on my giggle, trying to not laugh at his flat voice.
"A gift," He still didn't reach for the bag, "to help you feel better from the other day."
His face darkened slightly, staring at me. I extended my hand further, wiggling the bag around a bit, "C'mon, just take it."
He sighed, taking the bag from me. He glanced at me one more time before tugging open the bag. His face softened a bit, "Potatoes?"
I smiled at him, "Potatoes always make people feel better."
He nodded, his dark eyes connected with mine. I picked up a tool, beginning to make small holes for more potatoes. I nudged at the ground, Techno doing the same, "Where did you take Tommy and Tubbo?"
"Like your father, I found out Tommy has wings. So I let him try them out."
Techno paused, looking at me, "You found his wings?" When I nodded, he continued, "When we were growing up, Phil was so disappointed when he didn't have them." He got a far off look, staring at the ground, "I guess Phil would've been happy if he were here."
I continued cautiously, not wanting to scare him off, "Where is Phil?"
Techno glanced at me, his deep voice rumbling out, "He left us when Wil and I became adults to go back to the Arctic Empire. So Tommy and Wil moved here, and I stayed behind. And now we're here, trying to take down Schlatt." His voice grew darker with the last words.
"Techno, I know they're your brothers and all, but why are you working with them? There's not really a benefit for you."
"Well I'm helping them take down the government cause I hate the government. I think that there should be anarchy." He returned to his farming, kneeling down to place a few potatoes in the dirt.
I moved after him, pushing dirt over the small potatoes. "But doesn't Tommy want to win it back to just put another governing body in place?" I would've added Wilbur in there but I wasn't sure what he wanted anymore, other than destruction. I was almost positive that Wilbur just wanted to see L'manburg blown up.
Techno shrugged, "I don't know what they want. I can't get through to Wil anymore. He's not the same."
I nodded, keeping my eyes on the dirt, "Being exiled really messed him up."
The man hummed in response. We were silent for a few minutes while I thought, "Techno?" He turned to me, still kneeling on the ground, waiting for me to respond. "You'll always have me, okay?"
Techno was never one to show excessive emotion, so he just nodded. But there was gratefulness in his eyes.
There was a noise from the doorway, Techno and I turning to look. There in the doorway was Dream, his mask reflecting in the low light. I hadn't expected him to be here, "Dream?"
His mask faced me, his voice soft, "You weren't supposed to be here."
