"Jeongguk?" Jimin called out to the boy, who seemed to be in a daze, his elbow on the table with his cheek resting on his palm.
Jeongguk was too caught up in his own world. It had been a day since he and Taehyung had confessed to each other and Jeongguk couldn't stop thinking about the boy. He still was a bit confused as to what they were but he definitely knew that they weren't friends.
Call them unlabelled if you must.
To Jeongguk, he and Taehyung were still in a weird stage between friends and lovers. At first, Jeongguk thought it would really bother him but surprisingly, he didn't mind. As long as he was with Taehyung, he could wait.
But for how long?
Currently, he and Jimin were in the library, writing down some notes for their previous classes. See, Jeongguk had forgotten to attend a lecture earlier today while Jimin forgot to attend one yesterday. They were there to back each other up and so they exchanged notes and were writing them down into their own notebooks, using a photo of the others notes to copy down.
"Jeongguk!" Jimin repeated but a bit harsher, reaching from across the table to shake the boy out of his 'lovely' trance.
"Huh? What happened?" Jeongguk cried out, confused. He had a pen in his hand but wasn't writing down anything as his mind was too busy thinking about Taehyung. Jimin let out a frustrated sigh.
"Jeez, what's gotten you so spaced out?" The boy asked, furrowing his brows. Jeongguk just gave a nervous laugh, scratching the back of his neck. "Oh, um. It's nothing."
Jimin slowly nodded, having a feeling that he knew what Jeongguk was thinking about. He gulped, a horrible feeling building up in his chest but he smiled through it. "S-so, how's theatre going?" He beamed.
Jeongguk placed his pen on top of his notebook on the table, a bit taken aback by Jimin's random question. "Uh. It's going alright. We're starting to rehearse for the play that's coming up and everything." He mumbled, flicking to a fresh new page of his notebook.
"You're not acting, are you?" Jimin enquired, lacing both his hands together where he rested his head on top, grinning widely to the point his eyes were forming crescents. Jeongguk shook his head.
"Nope, but Taehyung is." Jeongguk smiled, inwardly giggling at the mention of Taehyung. "He's playing the prince dude or whatever."
Jimin pursed his lips, giving Jeongguk a tight-lipped smile. "That's great!" He cried, still trying to sound happy. The boy glanced down at his neatly arranged notes, sighing out before looking back at Jeongguk, feeling his stomach twist. His smile faded.
The thing was, Jimin couldn't see Jeongguk properly without seeing the image of him and Taehyung kissing outside his dorm and honestly, it hurt. It hurt knowing that Taehyung was into his best friend. Out of everyone it had to be Jeongguk.
And Jeongguk didn't know about them, did he?
Jimin had a slightly aggravated expression painted on his face, harshly biting the inside of his cheek to stop himself from screaming out. He then gazed down at the wooden table so he wouldn't have to be reminded of that. Jeongguk raised a brow at his flickering eye contact and tapped the boy's shoulder.
"Now you're the one who's spaced out." Jeongguk teased, a small grin on his face when he caught Jimin's attention.
Jimin quickly glanced up at him and blinked a few times before he realised what Jeongguk had said. "Oh, yeah. I'm just thinking about um.. stuff." He laughed off, returning back to his normal exaggerated grin but he saw Jeongguk's expression shifted into something more serious. He didn't find it funny.

"Chim. I'm not trying to be nosy or anything but- are you okay?" Jeongguk asked, his lips forming a small pout when he saw Jimin's surprised expression.
"What? Yeah, of course, I am-"
"Because for the past week you've been acting a bit 'happier' than usual, should I say? No offence but it's to the point where it sounds a bit.. fake?" Jeongguk explained, picking up his pen and spinning it around his fingers.
Jimin stared at Jeongguk for a couple of seconds before shaking his head no. "What? No. I'm fine!" Jimin laughed off once again, hoping Jeongguk couldn't see through him with his seemingly piercing gaze.
Jeongguk's features soon softened, a sympathetic look being etched onto his face. "You know you can talk to me about anything, right?" He reassured, reaching out to rub Jimin's arm soothingly. "I'll leave you alone for now but if there's anything bothering you, just- tell me, okay?"
Jimin hesitantly nodded, clearing his throat. "Yeah, no. I'm fine, really." He smiled to which Jeongguk sighed and returned the grin.
The rest of their time together was spent them jotting down the notes they had missed from their respected lectures. Jimin had his notes neat and tidy, written in coloured pens and highlighted in both neon and pastel colours to give it that 'jazz'. This was a huge contrast to Jeongguk's, whose notes were messily scribbled down, just getting the bare minimum written down into his book.
Jimin tried to change the tense atmosphere by telling a couple of bad jokes and ramble on about some shower thoughts he got from Hoseok which made Jeongguk giggle, hoping it would further convince him that he was fine although, in reality, he really wasn't. How could he even begin to tell Jeongguk what the issue was? Jeongguk meant a lot to the boy and he didn't want to lose that.
And so, Jimin ignored the feeling of dread he felt deep within, the feeling of his heart sinking, the stomach twists.
He just kept it all bottled up within him as they walked out of the library. He saw Jeongguk wave to a black-haired girl wearing an oversized jumper on the way out, beaming. "Hey, Jennie!"
Jimin glanced over at the girl, who waved back to Jeongguk and made quick eye contact with her before she disappeared from his line of vision. As he walked out of the library and into the corridors with Jeongguk, he put on a mask to conceal his true emotions and thoughts.
Hastily, Jimin was soon to pace out of the corridors, walking off on his own as he pretended to not notice the frown he received from Jeongguk when he did, the multiple calls for his name. He was hoping that his emotions of heartbreak wouldn't burst out of him anytime soon, his emotions morphing into something.. toxic. He was planning to keep them cooped up inside for a while despite the bubble of poison within him.
Just until they decide to go away to be precise.
Jeongguk stood outside Taehyung's dorm, a small frown on his face from Jimin walking off without saying anything earlier. He was definitely concerned for his friend but at the same time, he didn't want to be annoying so he tried to leave it out of his mind.
Jeongguk knocked a few times before Taehyung opened the door not even a second later, a grin on his face. He was about to pull Jeongguk in to press a kiss to his lips but noticed his frown. "What's wrong, baby?"

Looking up, Jeongguk noticed his own expression and wiped it off with a smile, shaking his head. "Oh, nothing." He reassured, stepping inside Taehyung's dorm where he seated himself on the bed.
"Does your roommate ever sleep here?" Jeongguk asked, seeing Taehyung crack a smile which made him slightly blush at the sight. He soon sat down on the bed as well, pulling Jeongguk to his lap and wrapping his arms around his waist.
"Jin? Nope. He's always busy sleeping over at other people's dorms and everything." Taehyung chuckled, brushing a loose strand away from Jeongguk's face. "He's sorta popular."
Jeongguk giggled, dancing his fingers along Taehyung's chest. "Mhm, I guess he is." He mumbled, smiling warmly when he felt Taehyung press a kiss to his puffy cheek.
"Gosh- you're pretty." Taehyung breathed out, his words not failing to coat Jeongguk's cheeks in a red tint. Jeongguk hid his face in Taehyung's dark locks, shaking his head.
"W-when are you gonna stop calling me that?" Jeongguk pouted, lifting his head up to look at Taehyung, his cheeks adorned with a light blush. "M'not pretty."
Taehyung leaned in and kissed Jeongguk's pout away, laughing at the boy's surprised expression. "Pretty, pretty baby." He smiled fondly, pressing another kiss to Jeongguk's lips.
Jeongguk held onto the collar of Taehyung's shirt, gripping it firmly as they kissed while one of Taehyung's hands stayed on his waist with his other on Jeongguk's cheek, running his thumb down gently. Jeongguk could never get sick of the feelings of their lips pressed together, loving the tingles he felt inside.
Does Jeongguk think he'll ever get tired of this? Fuck no. Call them touchy or over-affectionate but they just couldn't help themselves.
After a few seconds, Jeongguk pulled apart, his pretty lips bitten and swollen with his doe eyes sparkling. Taehyung grinned at the sight, making Jeongguk cock up a brow. "What?"
Taehyung shook his head, wrapping his arms around Jeongguk, tucking his chin into his shoulder for a hug. "Nothing, just nothing." He sighed, and Jeongguk nodded, returning the gesture.
"Have you taken your pills today?"
Taehyung kissed Jeongguk's shoulder and nodded. "Yep, took them this morning. This time I did it without thinking too much."
Jeongguk smiled, hugging Taehyung tighter. "That's so great! I'm actually really happy that you're getting better." He cried, pulling away from the hug to peck Taehyung's lips.
"Mhm, so am I and it's all thanks to you."
Jeongguk shook his head. "How many times do I have to tell you that it was all you?" He sighed in disbelief, pointing a nimble finger at Taehyung. "If you didn't try to get better then my help wouldn't have done shit so it's all thanks to you."
Taehyung just kissed Jeongguk's cheek once more, making the boy blush. "Whatever you say, baby."
The boy grabbed one of Taehyung's hands, pressing their palms together before looking up at him. "Hey, random question but how are you with your parents since.. you know." He asked, lacing their fingers together.
Taehyung slightly tensed, swallowing thickly. "I- um. I don't see them often, maybe sometimes during the holidays but we don't really have much of a bond or anything. My mother always asks me about my stupid pills each time while my dad doesn't say much, most of my holidays home are spent in my room."
Jeongguk slightly frowned at Taehyung's words, holding his hand tightly as he brushed the pads of his thumbs over it with his other hand. Taehyung seemed to notice Jeongguk's expression and tried to reassure him. "B-but it's fine! They don't do anything now that I'm older and I have friends back at home to spend time with."
Jeongguk let go of Taehyung's hand, reaching over to pull him into another embrace, stroking his dark curls. "I'm sorry if this sounds weird but um- you know how the spring holidays are coming up soon? If you want, you can spend the holidays with me and my aunt." He offered, not noticing Taehyung's shocked expression which was followed by a huge grin.
"You- you sure? I feel like I'm being a huge pain if I do." Taehyung stammered, reaching under Jeongguk's shirt to massage his bare waist.
Jeongguk giggled, a smile growing on his face. "No, of course not! Does this mean you want to?" He pulled away to look at Taehyung, smiling even wider at his grin.
"I mean if you want me to-"
"Of course I do! My aunt is super chill. She'll be happy to have you over." Jeongguk gasped, looking at Taehyung with big eyes. "We could go to that ice cream place back at home or- or check out the flower garden at my local park! Or-"
"We'll do anything you want, baby," Taehyung reassured, reaching up to kiss Jeongguk's forehead.
"I'm just so excited! Last time Jimin came over and we tried nearly all the flavours that ice cream place had to offer. The bellyache was so worth it after." Jeongguk giggled at the memory, reaching to wipe something off Taehyung's shirt.
"Jimin's visited before?"
Jeongguk nodded. "Yeah, of course. He's my best friend after all." He then pursed his lips. "About him, though."
"What's wrong, Jeongguk?"
"He's been acting a bit weird these days and I'm wondering if he's okay because I'm getting worried. Do you know anything?"
Taehyung looked at the boy's expression, how his voice was laced with concern and smiled warmly at how much Jeongguk seemed to care. He shook his head though, thinking it could be with what happened last week but he didn't want Jeongguk to know just yet. "I haven't talked to him much, I'll ask him later for you but maybe you should ask Hoseok? Isn't he Jimin's roommate or something."
Jeongguk blinked a few times before nodding slowly. "You have a point, we're going to hang out later anyway so that'll be a good time."
"There you go." Taehyung smiled, hands still resting on Jeongguk's waist, tracing small patterns and shapes with his index finger along the skin. "Aren't I great at coming up with ideas?"
Jeongguk whacked Taehyung in the chest, frowning. "Shut up. Don't get cocky."
"Says you."
Rolling his eyes, Jeongguk sighed out, gazing at Taehyung's lips. "Can we just kiss now? I don't wanna think too much about this."
Taehyung chuckled, giving Jeongguk's waist a light squeeze. "You don't have to ask me twice."
Soon enough, Taehyung had pressed their lips together while Jeongguk fumbled to grab onto his shoulders. He was kissing back with just as more force, they were touchy, yes but Jeongguk just wanted to let himself be distracted with the feeling of Taehyung's lips.
"If you think about it- you only exist because of a string of perfectly timed sexual encounters dating back thousands of years." Hoseok ranted as he munched on his noodles, earning him a groan from Jeongguk.
"Hobi. Not now, please-"
"So basically, chances are, your existence could've been caused by your ancestor's weak pullout game which then led to you being born," Hoseok stated, completely ignoring Jeongguk's plea.
It was now the evening and the two decided, like many other times, to hang out together in Jeongguk's dorm and eat cup noodles for dinner as they ranted on about many things. Fresh food was overrated anyway.
Now, they had reached the topic where Hoseok could spill all his shower thoughts and theories to Jeongguk, despite his groans of frustration.
"You really can't be stopped, can you?" Jeongguk sighed, digging into his pot of noodles soon after.
"Haha, nope!" Hoseok said, point-blank, laughing at Jeongguk's tired and hopeless expression. His laughter soon faded but his grin sure didn't. "Hey, what do you call a guy who relies on the pullout method?"
Jeongguk rolled his eyes but went along with it. "What?"
"Dad." Hoseok burst out into laughter once more, toppling over to his side on the bed, almost dropping his noodles. Jeongguk even let out a small giggle at the terrible joke, his giggles growing even louder at Hoseok's clumsiness as he was seated on the floor.
"Your jokes are just as worse as Jimin's!" Jeongguk cried loudly in between his laughs which upset Hoseok as he got up.
"I take much offence to that as that bitch's jokes are absolute shit. I don't need to hear his jokes about the Great Depression, I don't even like history!" Hoseok complained, shovelling a large mouthful of noodles into his mouth while Jeongguk nodded.
"Mood." He giggled, and Hoseok huffed. Jeongguk's smile soon disappeared though, his eyebrows furrowing. He was going to take Taehyung's advice and ask Hoseok.
"Speaking of Jimin, have you noticed that he's been acting sort of weird?" He began, placing his cup of noodles on the floor next to him when he had finished them.
Hoseok quirked a brow up. "What do you mean?"
"Like- overly happy and stuff. He's been acting like this for the past week. I tried asking him what was up at the library and I kid you not he gave me the fakest smile ever and said he was fine." Jeongguk groaned, drumming his fingers along his thigh.
"Well, I mean kinda? He was laughing suspiciously hard at one of my jokes yesterday which surprised me but I didn't think much of it." Hoseok replied, looking as though he was thinking hard about this. There was silence.
"It's definitely not the drug dealer thing because Jimin hasn't disappeared in a while. He's been pretty present." Hoseok added to which Jeongguk nodded in agreement.
"You know, the more I thought about the drug dealing thing, the more ridiculous it kinda sounded. Taehyung didn't seem to be suspicious at all either so that proves that the drug dealing thing was full of shit."
Hoseok faked an offended expression, swinging his legs back and forth on the bed. "I had to use four out of my six brain cells to think of that theory. Appreciate that, hoe." He began with a laugh which soon stopped when Jeongguk didn't seem to be laughing. "I mean, I guess you're right, it does seem a bit absurd for Jimin. What could be the issue though?"
Jeongguk hummed, rearranging his sitting position so his weight was resting on his palms pressed onto the floor with his legs spread. "What if I did something? And- and he's not telling me because he doesn't want to upset me?"
Hoseok nodded, reached out to put his noodles on Jeongguk's bedside table when he had finished with them, Jeongguk doing the same with his empty noodle cup. "No, m'pretty sure you didn't upset him, I hope. Anyway. What's up with you and Taehyung?" Hoseok was quick to change the subject to which Jeongguk sighed, slightly upset that he was dismissing their friend so quick.
"What?"
"You two have been pretty close these past couple of weeks."
Jeongguk felt a warmth rise to his cheeks, his heart rate becoming a bit quicker. He didn't want to tell Hoseok about them just yet, not when he was still a bit unsure about everything so he played dumb. "Why- why's everyone saying that? Some girl in our theatre class even though we were dating!" He giggled sheepishly.
Hoseok raised a brow. "You're not?"
Jeongguk felt his heart rate increase even more at that, racing at the speed of light. Did Hoseok know anything? "I- I'm sorry- what?"
The boy laughed aloud at Jeongguk's shocked expression, slapping the mattress because of how funny it was. "I'm only joking, no need to get so scared there. Sheesh, I know you guys hated each other before but you don't need to act so terrified at the idea of you two being together."
Jeongguk merely let out a small laugh, his mind thinking of something along the lines of 'if only you knew'. "Yeah, I guess we are close." He mumbled off-handedly, and Hoseok nodded, satisfied with Jeongguk's response.
"But about Jimin." Hoseok pointed a finger up, making Jeongguk perk up at his words. "I don't know, maybe you should go and speak to him? You guys are close too, aren't you?"
Jeongguk sighed, scratching his nose. "That would've sounded like a good idea if I hadn't already, it seems like he's going to be a bit stubborn about all this so it could be difficult to squeeze something out of him."
"Maybe try and get him alone and everything. He probably didn't want to say anything since there are other people in the library too." Hoseok suggested, grabbing one of Jeongguk's pillows to latch on to.

Prince of Destiny
Karl is the last prince of a royal house that has been overthrown by brutal revolutionaries. Orphaned by the revolutionaries, he was rescued and has been raised in secret by Leevana, a green skinned night-hag, for the past ten years. When Karl turns sixteen and is old enough to embrace his destiny, he and Leevana must set out on a quest to find his royal grandmother. But the depraved new leader of the revolutionaries, Joe Steel, is on their trail... Somewhat inspired by the basic concept of Don Bluth's fairy tale animated feature, purporting to be based on the myths surrounding Anastasia Romanov. I don't think this counts as a fanfiction, because it does not use anyone else's characters and it is in its own self-contained world, but please keep in mind the inspiration. Leevana and Karl are completely original characters, but Joe Steel, the bigger bad, is inspired by Stalin. Maybe let me know if you think it should have a fanfiction tag or not.

“The value you have brought to trade is immense, more than a thousand fold what any other traveler to Crucible has ever produced. More than even I produced during my journey.” The old man paused for a moment here, seemingly reluctant to continue. After a few seconds he begins again with weariness creeping into his voice. “As the Messenger of Crucible I have received the value of your life. You shall be awarded a body with potential equaling the value you have brought to this place in accordance with the laws of the higher realms. Now you shall depart for Crucible, but first; I, Jaze, will give you some advice.” The old man, Jaze, he had named himself paused a time. Time enough that Gray began to wonder if he was still present, when he suddenly continued in a low and serious tone, “You will undoubtedly have great potential Gray of Earth, but it is still only potential. What could be is not necessarily what will be. If you step foolishly in my world, if you can not live up to the potential you have bartered for, Crucible will crush you mercilessly and tear away your very soul.” A thought, cheerful and light was heard from Gray before his presence was sent rocketing away like a shooting star. “I’m looking forward to it.”
