Another week passed, to say that it was frustrating would be an understatement.

Ever since Jeongguk had realised he had the fattest crush on Kim fucking Taehyung, talking to him was fairly difficult throughout the week. Every minute or so he would always jumble up his words when nervous talking to him to which Taehyung would chuckle at his antics.

Jeongguk never found it funny. He always wore a pout on his face whenever Taehyung laughed at his inability to say a proper fucking sentence without stammering but the pout was always kissed away by Taehyung, turning the boy into a blushing mess.

What's worse was that Taehyung had seemingly become even more affectionate and caring towards Jeongguk if that was possible, kissing him at any given chance or showering him with compliments and cute pet names. Needless to say, it was all too much for Jeongguk to handle. Especially as he was falling hard for the boy.

He just hoped he wasn't the only one feeling like this.

"Taehyung, stop! I- I have to finish the essay." Jeongguk groaned, trying to type into his laptop whilst seated on Taehyung's lap, feeling Taehyung's head resting on his shoulder from behind.

Taehyung frowned. "What? I'm not doing anything." He protested, planting a kiss to Jeongguk's puffy cheek a second after that sentence. Jeongguk let out a sigh, ignoring Taehyung's kisses as he typed out his essay for theatre.

The whole time Jeongguk's heart was racing, trying to ignore that too and shift his entire focus onto the words he was typing up. He needed to finish this essay since tomorrow was the deadline.

"Taehyung, I told you to stop!" Jeongguk complained when Taehyung began to litter kisses all over his cheek, gripping onto his hip lightly. Taehyung didn't listen, he just continued what he was doing, a slight smirk on his face.

"Fuck you, I'm getting up." Jeongguk scoffed, grabbing his laptop as he prepared to get up but Taehyung quickly hooked his arms around his torso, keeping him in place.

Jeongguk gasped. He tried to break free from Taehyung's grasp which only caused the boy to tighten his hold on him where he began kissing behind his ear which made Jeongguk giggle. "Taehyung! Let- let me go!"

Taehyung rested his cheek on Jeongguk's shoulder, shaking his head, his dark curly locks spilling onto the boy's shoulder. After a few more moments of struggling, Jeongguk sighed, placing his laptop down onto the bed. He turned to Taehyung.

"T-Taehyung?" Jeongguk let out, a small pout on his face and Taehyung hummed in response, indicating for him to carry on.

"You-you're really distracting me y'know? I have to finish this essay." He spoke with glimmering eyes, fluttering his eyelashes, and Taehyung tensed.

Jeongguk inwardly smirked at this, ignoring the way his heart skipped a beat at the boy's frown and carried on. "If I don't finish it I'll fail and you don't want me to fail now, do you?"

Taehyung kept silent, gently running his hands along Jeongguk's torso, Jeongguk blushed at the gesture, looking back at the words on his laptop. "A-and if I fail I-I might move classes. Yesterday, Jennie told me choir was back up, maybe I'll move back to there."

Jeongguk felt Taehyung's grip loosen around him but then tighten again, Taehyung let out a small sigh. "Don't you wanna do something to do with music in the future? You should move to another musical major if you do."

Okay, Jeongguk wasn't expecting that.

"Don't you want me to stay in theatre?" Jeongguk asked, feeling Taehyung plant another kiss but onto his shoulder. The boy shook his head. "I want you to do something that you wanna do. Don't just stick to theatre because I'm there unless it's something you wanna do in the future."

Jeongguk gulped, definitely not expecting Taehyung to be so- so selfless? He seemed to care for Jeongguk's well-being and education that it made the boy's heart bloom. He let out a small laugh before turning to Taehyung again where they stared at each other for a few seconds, Jeongguk meeting Taehyung's intense gaze before pressing their lips together warmly.

Taehyung responded rather quickly, smiling into the kiss as Jeongguk threw his arms over his shoulders, fully turning around and pushing him onto the pillows so he was straddling him. They kissed for a good minute, Jeongguk letting out small squeaks when Taehyung gripped onto his waist firmly.

Jeongguk finally pulled apart for air, resting his chin on Taehyung's chest with Taehyung looking down at him, breathing out. A bit of silence. "You know you don't have to stay in theatre, right? You should move to another major." Taehyung spoke, pecking Jeongguk's forehead.

The boy stayed silent, just looking up at Taehyung with his big doe eyes with his cheeks bright pink and his arms wrapped around his broad chest, Taehyung continued. "Just think about it, okay?"

Jeongguk merely nodded before hiding his face into Taehyung's chest to contain his blush, his heart was pounding inside his chest. He then felt Taehyung begin to twirl his brown hair around his fingers, caressing his forehead underneath.

"You're so pretty," Taehyung muttered under his breath, Jeongguk heard that and tightened his grip on the boy, his cheeks burning.

"N-no, I'm not. Shut- shut up." Jeongguk stammered, his voice coming out muffled from his face being pressed against Taehyung's chest.

A slight smirk formed on Taehyung's face, he kept talking. "Pretty baby, and so cute too." Taehyung pressed a feathery kiss to Jeongguk's forehead when he lifted his head up, revealing his rosy cheeks and Taehyung smiled at that.

"Aw, you like being called pretty, don't you? You also like being showered in compliments. Don't you, baby?" Taehyung cooed when he saw Jeongguk shake his head frantically, hitting Taehyung with his fists.

"Pretty baby," Taehyung mumbled again, wrapping his arms around Jeongguk tightly into a warm embrace, kissing his forehead fondly while Jeongguk's cheeks grew even redder if possible.

They stayed in each other's hold for a bit, Jeongguk inhaled Taehyung's scent as he nestled himself into his broad chest, closing his eyes. Taehyung grinned, bring one hand up to continue playing with Jeongguk's hair while the other remained on his waist.

After a bit, Jeongguk's eyes shot open as he sat right up. "Shit, I still need to do my essay." He whispered, feeling Taehyung's grip on his waist tighten. Jeongguk frowned. "It'll be quick, just give me twenty minutes."

Taehyung sighed out, loosening his hold on Jeongguk and sat up. Jeongguk took the opportunity to take his laptop and seat himself back on Taehyung's lap, the boy smiling and wrapping his arms around him.

"No kissing, okay?" Jeongguk warned before continuing typing out his essay and Taehyung nodded, scrolling through his phone from behind.

The next twenty minutes were spent in a comfortable silence, hearing the sounds of Jeongguk typing away while Taehyung had his phone in one hand as he mindlessly scrolled through it, the other wrapped around Jeongguk's torso.

Eventually, Jeongguk finished what he needed to do, hastily skimming over the essay for any mistakes before emailing it to the teacher, a small sigh of relief leaving his lips at that.

Just before Jeongguk was about to close his laptop, he suddenly thought back to Taehyung's words, about what he wanted to do in the future. He bit his lip. "Taehyung?" Jeongguk called out and the boy glanced up from his phone.

"Yeah?"

Jeongguk took a deep breath. "What- what if I don't know what I wanna do in life?" Jeongguk asked, his hands hovering over the keyboard. Taehyung blinked, staying silent for a few seconds before speaking. "Don't you like choir?"

Jeongguk huffed, flicking a strand of hair away from his face. "I only took it because it seemed fun, it was stupid of me, I know, but I just don't know what I should've picked." He muttered, placing his laptop down again.

Taehyung put his phone to the side, caressing the boy's petite waist. "Maybe don't go back to choir, you could try another music major." He suggested, kissing Jeongguk's ear softly.

Jeongguk looked down to his legs, his hands pressed onto the bedsheets as he gripped it tightly. "But I-I don't know if I even like music. We- we're in our second year of college yet I'm still unsure on-" he paused quickly, swallowing down a lump. "O-on what I wanna do and I'm just so confused."

"Hey, hey," Taehyung reassured, noticing Jeongguk's tone. "A lot of people here don't know what they wanna do yet. It's okay."

Jeongguk sniffled, small tears spilling onto his bottom lashes. "Y-yeah but what if I'm in my last year and I- I still don't know what I want? W-what do I do then?"

Taehyung gave Jeongguk's waist a light squeeze. "Don't worry, you most likely will. Even if you don't, you have all the time in the world to decide."

Jeongguk sniffled once more, bringing a hand up to wipe his tears but Taehyung grabbed it, turning Jeongguk around in his lap. He let out a slight gasp when he saw Jeongguk's eyes filled with tears, his rosy cheeks damp.

"Oh, pretty baby. Don't cry, please don't cry, it's okay." Taehyung let out softly, reaching his hands under Jeongguk's shirt and massaging his waist. Jeongguk continued to cry, messily wiping his tears with his palms with Taehyung hushing him gently.

"Everything's fine, baby. You don't have to cry, it's okay." Taehyung brought Jeongguk's hands away from him, using his thumb to wipe off Jeongguk's tears himself.

"I- It's just- I'm so scared, Taehyung. What- what if I never know what I- I want to do?" Jeongguk managed to say in between his soft sobs, looking up at Taehyung with his gleaming doe eyes.

Taehyung hushed him again, pressing a feathery kiss onto Jeongguk's head. "You will don't worry." He comforted, mumbling into Jeongguk's forehead. "Everyone does eventually. Baby, it's okay."

Jeongguk nodded slowly and eventually, he calmed down, his cries being reduced to small hiccups and sniffles with Taehyung whispering sweet compliments. "There you go, you're fine." He smiled warmly. Jeongguk just rested his head onto his shoulder, Taehyung's dark curls brushing against his face.

Taehyung caressed his puffy cheek with his fingers, peppering it with kisses which made Jeongguk giggle, sniffing softly. The tip of his nose and cheeks were flushed red with his pretty lips slightly parted.

Jeongguk felt Taehyung grab his chin, tilting his face up where their lips met in a soft kiss with Taehyung kissing him ever so gently. With the way Taehyung was holding him, treating him affectionately, it made Jeongguk want to scream.

What even were they? Friends? Lovers? Somewhere in between? Jeongguk was.. scared to ask Taehyung, for the fear of getting humiliated or worse. Taehyung never wanting to talk to him again.

With that thought in mind, Jeongguk quickly pulled apart from the kiss, giving Taehyung a small smile before looking down at his hands, picking at his fingertips. Taehyung returned the smile, grinning warmly. "You alright now?"

Jeongguk didn't respond and merely hid his face into Taehyung's hair, wanting to feel his warmth to avoid his bitter thoughts. Taehyung wrapped his arms around the boy once more, hugging him while Jeongguk let out a content sigh, his hands rising to Taehyung's chest.

The thing is, Jeongguk knew how hard he was falling for Taehyung, he was just scared that there was nobody to catch him.

"If by your art, my dearest father, you have. Put the wild waters in this- Seulgi, what the fuck." Yeri paused to see the girl in a fucking- handstand in the background.

Yugyeom scoffed, turning to Yeri. "Why the fuck did you stop? You're supposed to be saying your lines."

Yeri scoffed back, a hand on her hip as she pointed behind Yugyeom. "Seulgi, why aren't you backstage?" Yugyeom glanced over to Seulgi and widened his eyes, muttering 'what the fuck'.

Seulgi got up, patting her hair back in place while the pair looked at her weirdly. "What? I'm bored." She groaned, pouting slightly and Mr. Han clapped his hands abruptly, having a stern gaze on the girl.

"Seulgi, dear. Go- go backstage please." He sighed, pointing behind the curtains. Seulgi frowned and obeyed, walking backstage as she sulked. Yugyeom snickered.

Mr. Han followed the girl backstage as it was getting fairly loud there, opening the door and peeking his head out. "Quieten down, everyone! There are still people acting and they need silence to concentrate." He said sternly, the students looking at him.

Taehyung was seated by Jin, who was the main source of noise with his laughter, and glared at him for a few seconds before Mr. Han finally left, Seulgi slipping into the room meanwhile. After that, Taehyung whacked Jin in the head, grumbling. "This is why we need to be quiet."

Mr. Han returned shortly, fixing his glasses. "Right, from the beginning, please." He spoke, clapping his hands once more to which Yeri and Yugyeom nodded, getting into their positions.

It was time for the class to start rehearsing for the play, they were onto their second scene where Yeri and Yugyeom had to be present with some students sitting in the seats watching and most backstage, chatting away.

Jeongguk was up in the projection room with Lisa, Jennie and a couple of other students. He had come to understand most of the basics with the help of Lisa, who thankfully wasn't that much of a bitch anymore, and knew how most of the lights worked.

"Yo, did you see Seulgi doing that handstand?" Lisa asked, glancing over to Jeongguk, who nodded.

"Poor her, Mr. Han basically told her to fuck off." Lisa giggled to which Jennie shook her head "Oh, don't say that."

Lisa sighed and spun around on the chair with Jeongguk's arms placed onto the headrest, spinning around with her. Jennie was just standing at the side with her hands at her front, as usual, laughing at the two's antics.

"I still kinda feel bad for Taehyung though." Lisa began, pausing her movements. "The dude tried his hardest to get the role only to get casted for another based on the fact that the teacher wanted him to do something different." She spoke solemnly.

A random student turned to Lisa, hearing her conversation and nodded. "I know right? Damn, it must suck but I think he'll be able to do it." They piped, their friend nodding along and Lisa smiled at them.

"Yeah," Jeongguk agreed, looking off to the side through the glass window where Yeri and Yugyeom were still performing. "He'll do just fine."

Lisa was now caught in a conversation with the other students, chattering away and laughing and Jeongguk saw how Jennie was silent. He lifted himself up from the headrest and walked over to her, smiling. "How are you finding theatre?"

Jennie seemed to be in her own world, a hand toying with her necklace when Jeongguk asked her that. She quickly snapped out of her daze and smiled, a faint glint in her eye. "It's fine. I'm happy I picked it."

Jeongguk rested his back against the wall, laughing. "Do you wanna do something to do with theatre in the future?" He asked, stuffing his hands into his pockets.

Jennie hesitated for a second, blinking her eyes before responding. "Yeah, I guess." She trailed, looking off to the side. "You?"

Jeongguk bit his lip, scratching the back of his neck nervously. "I- I'm still a bit unsure. Hopefully, I'll figure everything out soon."

Jennie nodded, fixing her clothes over her thighs. "I'm pretty sure you will, don't worry." There was silence.

Jeongguk looked at her outfit which wasn't anything new, just an oversized sweatshirt with leggings with her necklace shining over the collar. "You like wearing oversized stuff a lot?" He began, trying to break the silence.

Jennie glanced down at her outfit and giggled. "Yeah, it's pretty comfy and nobody really cares what you wear these days. I see you like wearing oversized things too."

Jeongguk hid his hands in the sleeves of his sweater, giggling. "True and true. Everyone can agree that oversized things are pretty comfy to wear." He said and Jennie smiled in response.

Jeongguk then turned silent, his smile fading. "Is everyone treating you okay in here?" He suddenly asked, taking Jennie a bit aback with that question. The glint in her eye became more prominent as she tried to come up with a response.

"Huh? Yeah, everyone's lovely." Jennie spoke with wide eyes, fiddling with the charm of her necklace as always as she looked forward. "Why do you ask?"

Jeongguk shook his head, glancing off to the side. "No reason." He smiled, not wanting to let her know what Taehyung told him. It'd look a tad creepy.

Jennie slowly nodded, swallowing thickly before turning to Jeongguk again. "How long have you known Taehyung?" She asked abruptly.

Blinking for a few seconds, Jeongguk grinned. "Oh, just when I started theatre. Near the start of the year. Apparently, you've known him since high school?"

"Yep." Jennie smiled, brushing some ebony tufts of hair back. "Did you know he dyed his hair blonde back then?"

Jeongguk gasped, a hand flying to his mouth. "What, really? No, he didn't."

But Jennie nodded assertively, pointing to her scalp. "It was like- blonde with bits of brown underneath." She waved her finger around.

Jeongguk was looking at the girl with wide eyes, shaking his head in disbelief. "Woah- I can't imagine him with blonde hair."

Jennie grinned, eyes forming into crescents. "He was kinda known as the kid with the crazy hair colours. He dyed his hair bright blue one time."

Jeongguk's jaw dropped to the floor, his doe eyes even wider. "I actually can imagine him with that this time. Did he suit it?"

Jennie nodded her head, hands falling to her front again. "Yep, he did for sure. Not gonna lie, but he suited most of the hair colours he had."

"Wait- he did more colours?" Jeongguk was bewildered. "Strongest scalp of the century award goes to him then." He muttered, Jennie, laughing along.

The rest of theatre seemed to fly by rather quickly, Jeongguk was there, listening to Jennie rant about all the different colours Taehyung had his hair in. Eyes wide. He practically demanded proof and Jennie was quick to reassure him that she'll send him some from old yearbook photos, them exchanging numbers from that.

Before he knew it, theatre was over and Jeongguk, Jennie, along with the other students were stepping down the stairs in the middle of the seats, still chatting away. When they reached the floor, Jeongguk waved Jennie goodbye as he needed to wait for Taehyung since he suggested they'd get food together later.

Mr. Han was walking to the door and passed by Jeongguk. "Ah. Jeongguk, sweetie. Are you looking for Taehyung? You'll find him backstage." He pointed to the door that led to there.

Jeongguk blinked for a couple of moments before nodding. "Oh. Okay, thank you." He said quickly, jogging backstage after.

"I'm going to be leaving now since the meeting is urgent! I'll be coming back soon to lock the door and I expect you two to be gone by then." Mr. Han called out before leaving and Jeongguk shouted an 'okay'.
