Shane's POV.

"Harder! Deeper!"

I opened an eye thinking possibly this was a dream.

"Oh my God Domo right there!"

Yeah, it wasn't no dream. This was reality. I turned to my nightstand to check what time it was. I adjusted my hand and took my phone. I immediately squinted my eyes at the brightness of my phone before seeing that it was 03:56 am. Ashley, my neighbour was the one responsible for the ugly ass moans.

I shook my head and sighed before getting up. I decided to be petty and plug on my speakers. At least if I do that, I wouldn't here Ashley moaning no more. Yes, the walls were thin but not that thin I guess she's naturally loud. I decided on 'It Was Good Until It Wasn't' by Kehlani. The first song which is Toxic came on.

I spotted my Art book by my bedroom window. I wonder how it got there. I looked for my pen after a few minutes of luck I found it. I then went by the window and sat there. It felt so good being by myself and just being mine for a moment.

I glanced up at the sky then looked at my phone realizing it was so far away. I was ready to get a couple of shots. I'm a nephophilia and taking pictures of the clouds makes me calm. If y'all didn't know my favourite colour is sky blue too.

I then opened the book and wrote:

KIND,

I was the centre of gravity,

By which I knew how to win hearts that used me to balance.

I frowned and crossed the words with my pen.

My mind then gave me an idea to write about love, I smiled and wrote:

MYSTERY OF LOVE,

The mystery of love is the ability of trust,

Holding someone's hand when you hanging on a cliff,

Knowing they won't let you go,

A safe world built for two people with genuine intentions.

I shook my head and teared the page from the book and crumpled it. Without consciousness, I held my pen:

BRITTLE,

Understand, my soulful states differ. Sometimes I feel too much and just want to be left alone -- sometimes I want to be held and babied. I know I'm like a confusing book cover with chapters that may leave your mouth wide open. I'm not broken nor hurt, I'm traumatized by words I always get to hear on a daily basis. My mind still displays the images of what happened that day, erasing the crooked smile that's mostly plastered on my face if not always.

Remember trying to forget a traumatic event is not accomplished overnight.

"Do you want to talk about it?" A question that sometimes come with genuine intentions of helping someone feel better. I just don't like it because my answer will always be a simple NO. Not that seeking help will do me no good, sometimes talking is exhausting. Explaining to get misunderstood is frustrating. It's just vague.

With that I closed my book and went to my closet. I took out some black sweat pants and a hoodie. I placed them on my bed and went to the bathroom. I brushed my teeth and washed my face. I then used a face cloth to wipe my face.

"I say it umpteen times.

You think I'ma leave, but I'm never gonna jump sides.

We been on a rough ride.

Still ride shotty with a nigga through the long nights,

& it's always two rights.

Playin' games with our hands tied.

Who else can I confide in?

Don't want a war, tryna win a fight in here, you got it."

I sang along with Lucky Daye on Can You Blame Me. My favourite song on the album. Everytime this song played I pretended to be performing at a concert and yeah I hyped myself up. Tried to be sexy here and there, always keeping eye contact because I knew my eyes were the bomb! *winks.

After getting dressed I took my car keys and phone before turning off the speakers. The time read 04:50 am. I walked to the parking garage and got into my car before driving off. I then decided to hit Avah up. Her phone rang four times before she answered.

Avah💆‍♀️💯: You better be dying bro.

She spoke her voice sounding crusty and lazy,

Shane: Well hello to you too.

Avah💆‍♀️💯: Shanice I'm not playing with you, what you want?

I laughed seeing she really wasn't playing,

Shane: So what's with the government Savannah?

I smirked knowing I was probably getting in her nerves.

Avah💆‍♀️💯: I'm hanging up, because..

Shane: I'm outside,

I said lying, but I was closer though.

Avah💆‍♀️💯: Are you okay? You high? Drunk? Where are you coming from?

Shane: Just come outside and I'll tell you.

Avah💆‍♀️💯: Bet!

She said before hanging up.

I was 10 minutes away from her house and I knew for sure when I get there she still won't be outside. As soon I got there I saw her coming down from her room window. SLIME EXIT SAY WHAT?! I smiled to myself thinking about it. "You just got here nigga!" She said as she got into the car. "I know, traffic", we both laughed and I earned myself a smack on the head. "Ouch, that hurts", "I know" she smirked.

"You down to start some trouble?" I asked with my mischievous smile. She smiled and said "What were you thinking?" I knew she wouldn't let me down! "We head down to Patrick's house" "But we only collecting tomorrow" she said a bit confused. "Exactly, we both know he doesn't have the money today so we just there to play, yeah?", "Yeah sure" she said rubbing her hands together.

We got to Patrick's house and took our guns. Patrick was a 45 year old baseball coach. He was fired after being caught with drugs in one of the biggest baseball games. Now all he does is try and kill himself with nothing else but the same thing that ended his career 'drugs'. We couldn't care less, as long as he paid up his life was none of our business.

We also do break ins so getting in the house was no problem. We got in without making no noise, he was probably sleeping anyway. Avah headed to the kitchen to grab a bucket of cold water with some ice. I took some electric wires and set them up in his basement, also making sure a chair was already set for him. "Here, I'm going to wake him up" Avah said handing me the bucket of cold water.

After two minutes or so I heard footsteps. "Shut the fuck up Pat or I'll blow your brains out" I heard Avah say. Poor Patrick only had a wife beater and boxers on. "How are you big man?" I asked. He looked really frightened and we were here to play with him none else. He sat down and said nothing. "You can't talk now but you were rambling all the way here huh?" Avah asked. He shook his head and tried to speak.

"It's Okay, I guess he doesn't like me that much" we laughed. He looked at Avah then back at me. I just shrugged. "Where's the money Patty?" Avah asked with her gun on Patrick's head. "I told you, I only have half of it","Where's the rest?" I asked stepping on his feet. "I was still going to get it today. Uhhh!" he screamed out. "It's already today, so why don't you have it yet?" I asked putting more weight on his feet. He groaned and looked at me. I smiled at him. "It's still early" he said softly.

Avah then covered up his face with an old plastic bag we found in his basement. She then poured the cold water at him. He shivered and screamed in shock, I guess he wasn't expecting that. "So we getting the money tomorrow Patty?", "Yeah". "I hope you telling the truth" she said. "I promise you'll get it" he said struggling to breathe.

"Open up your hands", I said kicking his feet. There was something about his feet yow. I don't know, they were nice and that's why I didn't like them. He opened his hands as fast as he could. "You ready to get carried away?" I asked. "Please don't shoot me","Relax I won't hurt you" I said and I wasn't lying. "But these will", I made him hold the electric wires. "Hold tight Patty" Avah said before plugging the wires.

Patrick immediately let out a high pitched scream. Due to the choking, I guess his body was growing hot because the plastic started sticking to his skin. Avah turned the plugs off. "You promise Patty? Tomorrow right?", "I promise" he said in tears.

Avah and I were both laughing. I guess we've turned into sadists. This really felt amusing and funny. She then turned the plugs on again and poured of what was left of the water on Patrick. By now he was begging to be forgiven. He did nothing wrong but this was a lesson to him. He now knew to always have our money prepared, even if the collecting day was far away.

Avah unplugged the wires. "See you tomorrow Patty" she said as we were walking out. We just couldn't help but laugh. We got to the car and I released a huge sigh. "That felt good, I even forgot I had problems" Avah said. "I know right". As I started the car a police car pulled up next to Patrick's house. "Oh fuck!" I said. "You think the neighbours heard the screaming?" Avah asked. "He was indeed screaming like a bitch" I said before we laughed.

I was about to drive past the police car when the police officer stopped the car. "Here goes nothing", I said placing both our guns under the car seat. I sat properly and Avah pretended to be typing something on her phone.

If we were about to get arrested then, I guess it was meant to be.
