Later that day, I decided to go to Walmart and do some grocery shopping. I couldn't get rid of the feeling that someone was watching me. Everytime I'd look around nobody seemed suspicious of anything. Everyone was minding their own business, so I let it slide.

"Hey", I heard someone say as I was loading the groceries in the car. I looked up to see a light skinned girl, a stud to be exact. She had a huge scar on her left eye. I thought it was a tattoo at first but nah, that's the only thing that made her stand out.

"Sup?" I said giving her a head nod. "You must be Shane, yeah?", she asked smirking. "Depends on who wants to know", I said raising an eyebrow at her. "That's really not important you know, so I'll take it as a yes. You are the mysterious Shane. The same Shane that made them forget I even exist huh?"

At this point I was so convinced that she was confusing me with another Shane. "Just tell them to watch their backs. Especially Mercury", she said before walking away. "Who are you?", I yelled out but she had already disappeared.

I drove home having a lot of questions like, who the fuck is she? How does she know me? What was her business with Mercury? "Tell them to watch their backs, especially Mercury", those were the words replaying in my head. Maybe she's an old friend who possibly didn't get too well with Mercury, yeah? Nah, I don't know.

As soon I got to my crib, I took my phone and decided to hit the crew up.

"Ayt bro we listening", Alex said as we were sitting in the cafeteria. "Okay so, yesterday at Walmart I met someone" "I thought you had a little crush on your landlord though", Mercury said pouting. I laughed before continuing talking, "It's definitely not someone I got interested in Merc. She was creepy. First I felt as though someone was watching me then later she appeared from nowhere", "Yeah that's definitely creepy", Avah said sipping on her apple juice.

"She talked about me replacing her and making 'them' forget about her. At first I thought she was tripping till she said Mercury's name." "Yow, I got a secret admirer", she asked grinning. "Mercury please", Ice said annoyed. "Nah Merc, she said 'tell them to watch their backs, especially Mercury' and that doesn't sound like a secret admirer to me" I said. "How she looked like?", Venus asked. "She was a bit tall, creepy eyes and had this huge tattoo on her left eye."

"Chris!" they said in unison, me and Lando looked at each other because we were completely lost. "I just knew it!" Venus said. "Can y'all fill us in because yow", Lando said squinting his eyes. "She's my ex girlfriend", Mercury said looking frustrated "and our ex friend. That's probably what she's talking about when she says you replaced her," Ice said. Okay now it made sense because she wore a necklace with initials or alphabets written 'C.M'. "Y'all had matching necklaces or something?" I asked Mercury. "Yeah, but after we broke up I threw away mine."

"So why the fuck do we have to watch our backs for? I mean that motherfucker switched up on us, not the other way around", Alex said annoyed. "She's the most toxic person I know. She won't let this go", Ice said standing up and moved the tray that was on top of the table before she sat on the table. "Y'all should have allowed me to kill her while I had a chance but nah!" Venus said rolling her eyes "Baby you know we couldn't allow you to do that", Avah said looking at her. "Yeah right". Mercury just stood up and left without a word. Alex stood up and said "Christina got all of us fucked up" before following Mercury.

Seems like we got a new problem to solve.

So afterschool I immediately went home. The energy at school was very much bad to catch. Mercury wasn't just her usual goofy self no more. I don't blame her, though I regretted telling them about that Walmart stud. Ice said I actually did the right thing by telling them. That's true because if I hadn't said anything and something happens to one of them it was definitely on me.

I got home took a quick shower and watched EFC, yeah I'm a big fan. I did boxing back home and I loved it, I still do. I could say that it's one of my coping mechanisms, instead of me punching people or walls it's better I punch a boxing bag. I heard a knock on the door so I got up to open it to see Cole smiling with a box of chocolate in her hands. I couldn't help but blush. I just looked at her admiring how beautiful she is, y'all know a true beauty? If nah then, she's definitely one.

"Can I come in?", she asked smirking. "Oh yeah, my bad", I said opening the door wide and making space so she can pass. I closed the door then went to join her on the couch as she had already made herself comfortable."These are for you" she said handing me the box of chocolate. I took it and said thanks before placing it on top of the table.

"How are you today", she asked. "I'm Ayt thanks for asking, you good?", "I'm straight but you look a bit tense. Come lay here", she said patting her lap. I sighed then layed on her lap. She started massaging my neck all the way up to my head . It honestly felt good and calming.

"My day just wasn't the best" I said with my eyes closed. "Want to talk about it?", she asked with her voice sounding so soft while making small circles on my neck. I told her what went down at Walmart, how the crew reacted when I told them about the girl and how the energy was just off after that. "She must've done them very bad. I mean for them to just cut off ties with her just like that", "I know right."

I also asked her about how her day went and she told me about an old couple that had moved in on one of the complexes she owned. A new business deal that she's currently working on and about her leaving for New York in a day or two. As she was about to tell me more about the business trip to New York her phone rang. She looked at me then I nodded my head giving her the go ahead to answer it. I got up from her lap and focused on the TV.

"Yeah, I know"..."Why you shouting?" she asked the person on the other side of the phone and I just knew it was Mikayla. "Hop off my line, I'm coming", she then hanged up. "Look I'm", "Nah it's all good, I understand you got to go", I said cutting her off. She kissed my cheek then got up and walked to the door, "only a matter of time, yeah?" "Yeah", I said smiling at her. She then walked out.
